00:00After victory over Pakistan, playing against India made up of superstars, does
00:08it come in the way in your thinking or just go and challenge them in all the way?
00:14No, not really. I think we're gonna treat it just like a normal game. Obviously we
00:20know India is a good team but we've beaten good teams before so we're gonna
00:24treat it less like a normal game and play our cricket to be honest. I think I
00:29think obviously we know that India is a good team but we're gonna treat it like
00:34any normal game to be honest. We don't want to play names or teams or anything
00:38like that. Obviously we've beaten good teams in the past so definitely gonna go
00:42hard tomorrow against India.
00:59Have you guys made any special plans or have you guys
01:10spoken about yourself? How are you guys going to handle the
01:13baseballing attack of India which came out really good against Pakistan?
01:19We always plan before every game to be honest. We have our team
01:24meetings and stuff. We have our plans as a team. The coach obviously has his
01:28ideas and stuff about how to play against all the different teams that
01:31we're gonna play against. It's gonna be the same thing against India. We
01:35have our team meetings and stuff and we'll come up with the best plan
01:38possible. Aaron, in the World Cup opener at Grand
01:43Prairie in Dallas you smacked 10 sixes in that innings that propelled a
01:52magnificent win for the US. What is it about Aaron Jones that you suddenly
02:00shot yourself in top gear in that particular match and how is that going
02:05to play on your mind moving forward as the tournament continues? For me
02:13personally I think I'm very big on going through my processes and I really
02:18play every game according to the situation. I think the game against
02:23Canada some batsmen on our team needed to be aggressive and I just raised my
02:28hand and said okay I'll do it for the team. As it relates to going forward,
02:32does it pass right now? I just want to keep winning games for my team and do
02:36the best possible for my team and help us to go through for sure.
02:39Aaron, after winning two brilliant matches do you expect that there will be a bigger
02:44crowd to support USA team tomorrow? Yes, I think so. Obviously we started
02:53really well in the World Cup, winning the first two games and obviously being in
02:58Pakistan is a big win. So I think now we are really and truly gaining a lot more
03:02fans and definitely I hope that we get some more fans tomorrow for sure.
03:07Aaron, two victories in two games and now two more games left and you must be
03:14tracking the weather of Florida as well. So if US qualify for the next round how
03:19bigger achievement it will be for the game of cricket in mainland America? I
03:23think it'd be great to be honest if we qualify. Obviously we know that we really
03:30and truly want to get like the word out there as it relates to cricket in the
03:33country for the American born and raised people and I think the further we
03:37go in the tournament the better for us and it better for us bringing fans on
03:41board and stuff like that. So yeah that's the aim right now and we're gonna play
03:45hard cricket tomorrow and every other game to be honest. Aaron, there are quite
03:51a few Indian players in the Indian origin players in the US team. So how do
03:57you see their mindset and how are they charged up for this game? How do you see
04:03that like some players like Saurabh and Harmeet etc? I think they're pretty
04:08excited to be honest. This is the first time USA will be playing against India
04:13and obviously as you said like so many guys on our team are from India. They
04:17actually played against and with so many guys back home in the past. So they'll
04:22definitely be excited to play against some friends for sure. Aaron, do you have
04:27an eye on the weather in Florida? I mean if it rains out you're in to the next
04:31round? Yeah we've been looking at the weather and stuff but we don't really
04:36want to focus on it too much. At the end of the day whatever the USA wants,
04:39whatever God wants that's gonna happen. So we just want to play one game at a
04:43time. Right now we're focused on playing India tomorrow and then whatever happens
04:46after that then we'll deal with it. Aaron, you must have noticed for the India-Pakistan game about 90% were Indian public and in your team there are quite a few Indians. So when you play India tomorrow do you think the crowd will be supporting you or the Indian team? I think the crowd will be supporting both teams to be honest. As you said like we have a lot of Indian players on our team as well so I think
05:16these crowd will be supporting both teams to be honest with you.
05:20Aaron, one of the main focus of this particular World Cup is to promote the
05:25cricket in in the US and everything. From your perspective, from a player's
05:29perspective, is it much of a challenge? How do you see this about NBA finals are
05:35going on and you know the kind of the media coverage you get from within the
05:40this thing? Have you been tracking that and how long do you a time do you set for
05:45yourself as a team where cricket could be counted amongst the top three top
05:49four sports in the country? To be honest to you for me personally I don't really
05:54pay much attention to the media and stuff as it relates to that but I think I
06:00think well cricket being one of the biggest sports in the world it's only a
06:04matter of time before like majority of people come on board as it relates to
06:08American born and raised people. I think America is a place where people love
06:12sports and obviously this World Cup is gonna open the eyes of a lot of people
06:16and then in a few years obviously with cricket being in the Olympics that's a
06:20very big thing as well so I think everything is on the rise right now as
06:23it relates to opening the eyes of the American born and raised public and it's
06:27just gonna get better from here. Hi Aaron, will it be intimidating to be playing
06:32against the big Indian stars like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and what to make
06:36out of this Indian players? What has been the planning? I wouldn't say
06:42intimidating I think it's actually exciting me growing up as a kid I always
06:48wanted to play against the best players in the world and I'm definitely gonna
06:52get the opportunity to do that now so it's exciting for me I don't I don't
06:55want to say intimidating I'm excited to play against them to talk to them and
07:00definitely to beat them as well so yeah definitely excited. Any more questions?
07:06That's it, thank you.
