Webb Simpson hails the season Scottie Scheffler is having, saying it reminds him of Tiger Woods' early days.
Transcript
00:00 You mentioned Scottie a couple times.
00:01 I'm just curious on your perspective
00:03 as someone who's been doing this
00:05 for awhile now what he's done.
00:07 Really, even just this summer,
00:08 the way that he's kind of come out on the
00:10 really on the hardest courses and played
00:12 as well as he had and how hard that really is.
00:16 Yeah, it's it's probably what
00:17 happened the early days of a tiger.
00:19 You kind of get used to it,
00:21 so it becomes less of a big deal.
00:23 You know, it's almost like an afterthought.
00:25 Oh, Scottie won again this week.
00:27 Yeah, it's he's doing everything
00:30 exceptionally well and.
00:32 I think what people don't talk about
00:34 enough is like his attitude and the
00:37 way he thinks you know he he makes
00:39 less mistakes than everyone else.
00:42 He does what you would expect a
00:44 pro to do capitalizes on, you know,
00:46 wedge shots and par fives,
00:47 but he just doesn't really make mistakes,
00:48 and he's so hard to beat,
00:50 which is, you know,
00:52 probably makes Davis Riley's win at
00:54 Charles Schwab even that much sweeter
00:57 because he was able to get him.
00:59 You know the rare the rare time we all see it,
01:01 but.
01:02 To play this well for this amount of time.
01:05 I mean,
01:06 it's been a couple years where he's
01:08 for sure the guy to beat every week.
01:12 It's fun to watch and I don't see any
01:14 reason that he's going to slow down
01:16 anytime soon and he just had a baby,
01:19 so I think all the players are like man.
01:21 Maybe he's sleep deprived,
01:22 but even if he is, he's still winning.
01:24 So good for him.
