00:00 What did you think when you heard there was going to be an Inside Out 2 and you were going to get a comeback and play Riley's dad again?
00:05 I was so excited. Any chance to talk about Broccoli makes me very happy.
00:09 I love the people I work with. So that for me was the most fun.
00:13 So I knew I was going to see Pete Docter again, be in contact with Jonas Rivera and Ronnie Del Carmen, the people that I knew from the first one.
00:20 So, and they have a whole new crew and they're equally as nice, equally as creative and just lovely to work with.
00:26 Did you record any of your pages with Diane or did you do all your work solo?
00:30 Oh no, no. The very first time in Inside Out, the first one, the first session that we had together, Diane and I were in the room together, which was really fun.
00:39 I hadn't seen her in so long and she's fantastic obviously. This time we recorded separately. She'd had it with me, you know, one of those.
00:46 What do you love most about doing animated movies like this one?
00:50 You know, there is a creative process that's different than anything else. It's not a voiceover. It's not like you're reading something.
00:57 It's not like you're on camera, but you have to understand what the animators are thinking for the character, how they're moving, where they are in space, what's happened just before, what's happened just after.
01:07 So you have to create all of the reality yourself and then add the voice to it. I really enjoy it.
01:12 And you recently were in Fallout. I loved that show. What a show. What has the fan response been like for you to that series?
01:19 Really positive. Really positive. You know, there's a lot of uncertainty going into something like that because it's so special and the fans take it very personally and there was some concern.
01:28 But I think for the most part, they've been really happy with how their show was treated. And that was so important to all of us to do justice to the show and the fans.
01:38 Have you seen any scripts for season two yet?
01:41 I've read all the scripts. Hank, I can't tell you what happened. I've not read anything yet, but I'm sure it's going to be fantastic. It's the same group, the same crew, so it's going to be wonderful.
