00:00Talk about CMA Fest and how it's just so great for the fans and getting up close and personal in a way they wouldn't normally be able to.
00:05They give us, the way that I describe CMA Fest is they give us so much and this is our one weekend to kind of all unify together and bring unique experiences as a genre, as a family together for them. Like this is for them.
00:20Hummingbird, killing it, oh my gosh, so good. What's the response been, what has been satisfying about having that album out?
00:28I think just how long, it's been a long time since I've put out music and there's purpose to that because I was just, you know, I needed time to process and kind of figure out what did come next and it's been really gratifying to see the response.
00:41I saw you here in Nashville with Tim McGraw just a few weeks ago, unbelievable, such a great show and then I see you on Instagram throwing his tire, does he bring that tire everywhere he goes?
00:53It literally is sitting outside of the buses every day, like almost as like a little taunt of like look what I can do and what you can't.
00:58Yeah, but now you can.
00:59I can do it once, he takes it the length of a football field, no thank you.
01:03No thank you, no absolutely not.
01:04Hey, you opened up about pericarditis and the things you're going through with that, how are you feeling and how is that affecting you day to day?
01:10It's a journey.
01:11Yeah, you know, I wanted to be honest because I think so many young people just assume we're going to be healthy and fine forever.
01:17But yeah, I've had to alter my shows and just kind of slow down and so it's a journey every day that we're doing it and I'm so grateful for just the support that I've gotten for it.
01:28Your inspiration for so many lyrics is relationship stuff, is love inspiring you these days for writing lyrics?
01:36I mean for sure, that's what I always say, I'm like I'm very happy in a relationship.
01:40But I mean, you know, this has been a process where I opened my heart back up.
01:45Hummingbird shows like getting back out there again and kind of getting hurt again and then finding love again.
01:50And yeah, I'm in a really good place and this album is kind of bridging that gap of like 29 and going towards the light.
01:57Final thing real quick, we're ramping up to July 4th, celebrating the US of A.
02:00Favorite town, favorite city, where do you go?
02:03I mean you're touring everywhere, where do you love to go?
02:05Napa, I'll be in Napa for the 4th of July.
02:09What are you doing, what's the plan?
02:11Drink, drink, bye bye, having a little wine.
02:14Is this like a girls trip?
02:16No, it's kind of like, it's a really special thing that's going on, I can't tell you yet, but it's cool.
02:21Oh my goodness, we sufficiently teased.
02:23Favorite thing about America?
02:25Oh my gosh, just the incredible, you know I've traveled a lot overseas and I feel like I always come back and I'm just so grateful for how our country is run.
02:38Just the things that we take for granted that not everybody has and you just go wow, we are blessed to live here.
