00:00 Now after that disappointment against South Africa and with the Super Eagles yet to win
00:04 in three games in Group C of their World Cup qualifiers, they now face Benare Republic
00:08 on Monday afternoon and they have to do the business, get all three points or it is
00:12 bust and this is a preview of the game. My name is Ayomede and this is The Nutmeg on Guardian TV.
00:17 Now of course we cannot emphasize how important the game is. The Super Eagles
00:27 on the stand is now just three points and that's culminating from three 1-0 draws
00:32 against Lesotho, against Zimbabwe and against South Africa and more recently at the Godfrey
00:36 Lacroix-Biot Stadium. Now they'll be playing at the Feli-Soufi-Bogni Stadium in Abidjan,
00:41 familiar ground from the African Cup of Nations and they have to get the business done against
00:46 Benare Republic but the interesting thing is that Benare Republic are tutored by former Super
00:51 Eagles coach Gennox Roar and that of course can be a very dicey game playing against the main
00:57 your immediate past manager in such a crucial game like this one. So it remains to be seen.
01:02 Benare themselves have not been great. They have just one point above Nigeria in the standings in
01:08 Group C and you look at the head-to-heads as well. You look at the meetings between the Super Eagles
01:14 of Nigeria and also the Cheetahs of Benare Republic and there has been 16 games between
01:20 these sides and it's a dominant return for Nigeria winning 13 games, drawing two times and then losing
01:29 just once and on paper it does look like the Super Eagles have their chances but you know they have
01:34 to correct a lot. I mean in terms of selections I thought that coach Finidi George didn't get it
01:39 right in his first real test and he has to just get it right this time. Start bony face, start the
01:44 right players and I don't know what I'm not a coach but your tactics have to be right this time.
01:51 There has to be a solution and that's what we're looking forward to seeing now. I mean I can go on
01:55 and on talking about what the solution could be but really start the right player. Start with your
02:00 proper selections and don't leave anything to chance. I mean we can't even emphasize how
02:06 important this game is. You lose this game if the Super Eagles lose this game then they'll be rooted
02:10 to fifth in fifth place but if they win they could even rise to as high as the top spot of the group
02:17 so it's quite interesting. I mean we also have to keep an eye on other matches in the group as well
02:23 but then in terms of my predictions for this one, I'm going by the you know the incredible run that
02:29 the Super Eagles have against the Cheetahs of Benare Republic. I do think that this one is a
02:35 win for the Super Eagles. They have to win. It's a familiar ground for them, a ground that they've
02:39 had a lot of success in coming from the African Cup of Nations and they just have to do the
02:43 business now. It's a neutral ground. We'll have to see how that can also be a factor as well. So
02:48 it's all to play for and we wish the Super Eagles all the best. Thank you very much for watching
