00:00 There was 46,134 motorcycles.
00:05 That's police figures, that's official.
00:09 And hundreds of thousands of people,
00:11 literally every over bridge.
00:13 People were at service stations
00:15 and it was from the Ace Cafe
00:18 all the way to Barrow and Furness.
00:20 And my goodness, Barrow and Furness,
00:23 they were spectacular, opened their homes.
00:28 People were saying, "Oh guys,
00:29 if you've got nowhere to stay, we've got a spare room.
00:32 Here's the backyard, you can put your bike safely in there."
00:35 It was remarkable.
00:36 It took us from leaving the motorway,
00:40 we arrived in Barrow and Furness
00:42 and there was five hours before the last guys and girls
00:47 that were part of the cavalcade actually arrived in Barrow.
00:52 It took us five hours to park everybody up.
00:54 And then we had a party.
00:56 (laughing)
00:58 It was the most remarkable, overwhelming sense
01:04 of togetherness, of community, of kindness, of courtesy,
01:09 of all of the things that make human beings who we are.
01:14 And it was just remarkable in honor of my best friend
01:20 and Lily's husband.
01:23 And it was absolutely breathtaking, breathtaking.
