"A Girl from Mogadishu" is a 2019 Irish drama film directed by Mary McGuckian, based on the life and work of Irish activist Ifrah Ahmed. The film follows Ifrah's journey from her childhood in a refugee camp in Somalia, where she was born and subjected to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), to her escape to Ireland and eventual asylum. It then chronicles her transformation into a prominent international activist against gender-based violence and FGM.
