As a result, compensation was given to affected students by increasing their marks, leading to new top scorers. Singh emphasised that only 6 out of 4750 centres were affected, impacting 1600 students out of 24 lakh. 00:00 The whole exam process has been very transparent and the integrity of the exam was not compromised
00:07 at all.
00:08 The issue came how a candidate can get 718 and 719.
00:11 So it is not because the number of questions, plus 4 minus 1, but because of the scale formula,
00:18 the numbers can be 718 and 719 also.
00:22 And this problem happened like out of 4,750 centers, it was limited to 6 centers.
00:28 They will meet soon, I think they should be able to give their recommendation within a
00:32 week.
00:33 We met and they used all the details of the centers, of the CCTV, and they found that
00:42 sometimes center-wise there is a difference, like time was lost, and they should be compensated
00:48 for the marks.
00:49 And there was a Supreme Court judgment in 2018 in the CLAT case that if there is this
00:58 type of grievance, that there is a time loss, then there is a formula and on that basis
01:04 compensation can be given.
01:05 So the committee thought that this is the way we can address the grievances.
01:11 So during this grievances, their marks have been increased and due to that, some students,
01:21 the concerns which have come to the media is because of the certain candidates have
01:26 got marks which are like they have come in the top, six candidates have come in the top,
01:32 two candidates have 718 and 719 marks.
01:35 So that is how the issue came, how a candidate can get 718 and 719.
01:40 So it is not because the number of questions, plus four, minus one, but because of the scale
01:47 formula, the numbers can be 718 and 719 also.
01:51 So we have analyzed all the things and transparently and then declared the result.
01:59 So this was, and this problem was happened like out of 4,750 centers, it was limited
02:07 to six centers and out of like 24 lakhs, it was only 1600.
02:14 So the integrity, et cetera, of this exam throughout the country was not compromised
02:20 and one issue which was happened in Savai Madhavpur that because of wrong Hindi-English
02:25 distribution, we like took the action immediately and because by that time at every center,
02:34 candidates were inside.
02:35 So the question paper in social media was I think around 4.28, 4.29 p.m. after the start
02:42 of like two hours, 28 minutes later.
02:46 So we said that there is no paper leak and we reconducted the exam at that center with
02:53 a different question paper and it went smoothly.
02:57 And then there were allegations from some other centers that there is a possibility
03:02 of paper leak.
03:03 So we all again analyzed our system and denied that report through the press release on 6th
03:10 of May.
03:11 So the whole exam process has been very transparent and the integrity of the exam was not compromised
03:18 at all and categorically like stated in our press release.
03:23 So we like assure all the student community that the exam has been done with full integrity.
03:29 So this is like a brief of the things.
