00:00Hey, this is Bia, and you're on the set of my music video, Lights Out.
00:11Hey, Rolling Stone, this is Chandler Lass.
00:13Hey, what's up? It's your boy, G.I.D.
00:15And I'm directing the video.
00:17And we're on the set of Lights Out music video with Bia.
00:20So the inspiration behind this song was I wanted something different.
00:23I wanted to come with something that was positive and more uplifting.
00:26And I felt like the world is so dark, and it could be such a dark place.
00:29So I wanted to have a song that brings light and just shines the light on the world.
00:33So I feel like this song is that.
00:35And I just wanted to play with light and all the different meanings of bringing light into a dark space,
00:41whether that's literally or figuratively.
00:44We're just doing all kinds of fun stuff here today and playing with a bunch of lights.
00:49Inspiration behind my verse was just the vibe that was already set.
00:53So I kind of just tried to add my flavor into it with a twist or whatever.
00:58I don't know. It was just super cool. It was different.
01:01And then Bia is just an amazing artist.
01:03And then we tapped in. We respect each other's artistry.
01:06So it was really simple.
01:07I'm a fan of his music, and I was like, he would be the perfect person for this collab.
01:11As soon as he cut it, I was like, this is a vibe.
01:13It was the perfect person for the song.
01:23I love the look. I love the chains.
01:25Chris really started off with this.
01:27She knows I like jewelry.
01:29Because one thing about me, I went through a necklace phase.
01:32I'm not really super into heavy necklaces.
01:34I love good earrings.
01:36And I love nails.
01:39And I love eye makeup.
01:41And I love bracelets.
01:43And I love chains.
01:44So I love hardware.
01:45Anything hardware, sign me up.
01:47I wore three different looks.
01:48A lot of vintage stuff.
01:51Vintage Dior.
01:53Some Rav.
01:55Stuff. It's a lot of stuff.
01:57Hold on, let me make sure I get the name right.
01:59Because this is amazing.
02:01Hilo Emil.
02:02For sure.
02:03I'm crazy.
02:05Three different looks, but a lot of vintage.
02:07And then this is one of my favorites.
02:09We just wrapped with.
02:10So the amazing colorful dress that I was wearing was Marine Sir.
02:14Look 1, Spring Summer 24.
02:16And me, I'm a runway girl.
02:17I love a good runway piece.
02:18I love color.
02:19And I love texture.
02:20And I love pattern.
02:21And that dress was all those things.
02:23It's really hard, usually, for a stylist and my homegirls to get me a color.
02:27So when I saw that dress, I was like, this is perfect.
02:30Like, I feel like it was made for me.
02:31And then I also wore Dionne Lee.
02:33I love Dionne Lee.
02:35Love, love, love, love Dionne Lee.
02:37It was so sexy.
02:38It was such a vibe.
02:39I loved the cutouts.
02:40We bedazzled it.
02:41We made it custom with a little razzle dazzle.
02:43We have her floating and flying through this futuristic city that we're going to build
02:49with my really amazing VFX team.
02:51I'm stoked about that.
02:52Had her on wires and a whole stunt coordination team here today.
02:56And basically, she's going through this dark city and bringing light everywhere she goes.
03:01I mean, I just hope that it turns out the way that I envision it in my head, which is really pretty.
03:07So that would be cool.
03:09As soon as I saw this one, I was like, this is beautiful.
03:11I feel like this treatment was made for this song.
03:14This song was made for this treatment.
03:15But I didn't want it to be like a corny lighthouse thing.
03:19You know what I'm saying?
03:20I didn't want it to be like, oh, I'm in the ocean.
03:22There's a lighthouse.
03:23And then somebody come save me with the light.
03:25I wanted it to be symbolic, and I wanted it to be special.
03:29That's a wrap.
