00:00 So this mural was inspired by the canal ways in Sheffield. I had a lot of leeway with it,
00:05 the people that commissioned me basically said that, free reign because I'm a wildlife artist
00:10 by trade, so like that was great for me. So I wanted something that was going to fit the framing
00:16 of the building because it's quite tall, so I picked a heron because it could just fill like
00:21 the whole space of it. I had fun with the water, there's going to be so much water at the bottom
00:25 of here, something like splashing up from the bottom to create a lot of movement.
00:30 So yeah, amazing and am I right in thinking that's your sort of style all the time,
00:35 it's bold colours, it's that kind of thing? Yeah, yeah, my style's like super vibrant
00:39 and yeah, I like things that can kind of like hit people in the face a bit when they see them
00:47 because when there's so many concrete buildings everywhere sometimes I think it's nice to have
00:51 like a big splash of colour, especially when it's next to like a kids park like this, it's just
00:55 nice and uplifting, so I like when you do it. 100% and has that been sort of the impression,
01:00 I've already seen lots of people like taking photos and everything on the way past, people
01:04 looking, has it been hitting people in the face? It really has, it's actually been a little bit
01:08 overwhelming the amount of people that have like been around, which is amazing, like I knew it was
01:14 a busy spot anyway but like it's the amount of people that have stopped to say hello has been
01:19 amazing, I've been doing some milkshakes today which is really lovely, every time I log into
01:24 Facebook it seems to have blown up on shuffle pages so I really appreciate the support. Amazing
01:30 and how do you feel seeing it sort of coming together, did I hear that it might be finished
01:34 tomorrow? Yes. How does that feel? Yeah, it's good, it's like it's gonna be weird not painting
01:40 because I've been painting for, after tomorrow it'll be like 10 days in a row so it'll be strange
01:45 not doing anything after that but yeah, I'm looking forward to getting it finished. Yeah,
01:52 how are you feeling looking back at it I suppose now it's been all done and you've been I suppose
01:56 staring at it for so many days? It's strange, like when I come to the end of a painting I end up just
02:02 like getting a bit like, so I need like a few days to like settle in but yeah I'm really pleased
02:08 the way that it's turning out, I'm trying to introduce like way more detail into my pieces
02:14 and the last mural that I did that was this size and now there's anywhere near as many of details
02:20 in it so. Whereabouts was that one? I was in Manchester, just behind Piccadilly Square. Was
02:26 that bigger than this one a bit or is this the best ever? This one is bigger actually, so the last one
02:31 I did I think was 180 square meters but it wasn't as tall, I knew that was taller because it's 25
02:36 meters but we did the maths and measured the bottom and it's 225 meters square so now it is the biggest
02:43 me on that I've done after I've done the math. Brilliant.
