00:00Thank you had
00:01Tough on that. I reckon you were probably feeling like you were in that game quite deep. Yeah, definitely. I thought we
00:08for one had enough runs and it sort of followed that formula that we wanted to
00:14win that this game by winning the toss betting and
00:18in sort of a day game and it's slowing up a little bit felt it slowed down towards the
00:23latter end of our innings and throughout
00:26The innings there was a little bit of turn and a little bit of inconsistency of bounce when you put some energy on the ball
00:32but unfortunately
00:34but of off-color displaying with a ball and perhaps a
00:39almost lack of intent in the field and
00:41In terms of that type of energy to win the game at under pressure and at a big stage. There wasn't enough of
00:47That sort of go forward play
00:50in the field and with a ball to
00:52Defend under and 50 and into the
00:55Scottish boys taking advantage of that when you got the fourth wicket the run rate was was pushing up towards 10 and over
01:02I guess we're Scotland
01:04backed into a position where they they had to really go hard and then they got into that mindset and
01:10So one those hard moments because you know, they almost had to hit sixes and then they did
01:14Yeah, maybe so
01:16I feel like all teams have sort of a the roles in place and finisher is a finishing role for for a reason
01:23So this key was always gonna, you know
01:26sort of pull the trigger at some stage whether it was 12 and over or
01:308 and over and we had our plans for him and we didn't execute that
01:34unfortunately, and that's international cricket if you are not willing under pressure to
01:38Execute and do that. Well with good skill then innings like that is what good players are gonna play
01:45And Reuben and David are two guys who've stood up tall for you and produced big performances
01:50So, you know unfortunate, but they couldn't quite get it done today
01:54Yeah, perhaps at the death, but I felt they they were turning points through
01:58Through the middle period we on the slow wickets. We've seen the games really been
02:03You know one really been, you know sort of
02:07putting that stamp on the game throughout that period in the middle and I felt in the field and
02:13With a couple of softish moments in there
02:16we couldn't make it tough enough for the death eaters to
02:19under pressure fault and perhaps make a mistake or two and
02:24I've said there before but did you feel like 155 was it was a pretty good score?
02:29You lost wickets in your innings pretty regularly, but with your knock you actually
02:33Continued having some punches back and you got up to a decent total. I
02:38Felt for my liking. It was a decent score. I felt that it was
02:43sort of the highest tempo we've seen on this ground bar the
02:48Maybe the rain game, which is a little bit different in its essence
02:52Being you know, just a 10 of a game and just the four of his outside of the power play. We've really seen the middle period
02:58Struggle through throughout this tournament actually
03:01So yeah
03:03getting 155 fault was a was
03:06perhaps five or ten runs even
03:09Above par and with our type of bowlers would have liked to defend that
03:14Okay. Thank you. I'm a two-part question first is I mean it became a very narrow margins
03:20Not quite as narrow as your first game
03:22Did you feel at the time that when Trumbull was struggling with direction giving away?
03:27Why did you feel even then that might be the difference between winning and losing but in a more positive note?
03:33You'll probably be back here
03:39Something about
03:52Yeah, we we've come to play all four games evenly hard there's four more points and we're gonna play our best game against
04:00English and the Australians we've had a warm-up game against Ozzy's got a taste of what world champions are about white ball
04:08Very to two very good white ball teams England, Australia. So what a great that you know
04:15Honor for us to share a field with that and compete with that
04:38I
04:57That's something I can't really answer and probably
05:00Almost not really a fair question because he's not in the side for whichever reason
05:06But yeah, we have to play with the 15 guys. That's in the West Indies
05:11they've all done well in phases in their careers and
05:15Yeah, I felt today's batting performance. Definitely had been much more intent on the game and we did
05:22feel reasonably good things bar perhaps the last couple of overs we we known for our death eating and we known for
05:30Capitalizing on good bases and good starts like that to up our score to 160 165 is probably the only that's a disappointing thing. I think
05:43Lefty it's not this tournament sir, so I don't understand why I keep on getting questions about someone not at the tournament
05:51Yeah
05:59Yeah, perhaps so that the balance of our side has changed over the recent past a
06:04couple of our all-rounders not bowling
06:07in JJ Smith and
06:09Young filing bowling this load so that the loads of the balance in the side has definitely changed
06:15From what was a team with a lot of you know strong all-rounders, but there's different personnel in those roles
06:21and those guys need to I believe you know show that development and that upskilling over the years and
06:28show that they've developed in such a way to perform at highest level and
06:33Yeah, perhaps that six bowler today could have pushed us over the line
06:39Yeah
06:42Thank you
