00:09In the new issue of Us Weekly, a friend of the rocker tells us,

00:12"...he loves the attention it's brought to him, but he also thinks it's hilarious

00:16because at no time were they ever serious."

00:19The two dated in 2014 and briefly rekindled things last summer.

00:24The friend of the 1975 rocker also adds that he was completely blindsided by the album's

00:29lyrical content.

01:13out and about days later, saying, "...I haven't really listened to that much of it, but I'm

01:17sure it's good."
