लोकसभा चुनाव के नतीजों में उत्तर प्रदेश में बीजेपी को काफी नुकसान हुआ है। लखनऊ में आईएएनएस से बात करते हुए यूपी सरकार के मंत्री धर्मवीर प्रजापति ने कहा कि हम मंथन कर रहे हैं, कहीं ना कहीं दलित और अति पिछड़ा वोट जो है वह हमसे कटा है। हम देखेंगे कि आखिर वह क्यों कटा। हमने विकास का कार्य किए थे लेकिन फिर भी अति पिछड़ा वोट और दलित का जो वोट हमसे कटा है उस पर मंथन करना जरूरी है और हम तीसरी बार सरकार बना रहे हैं। कहीं ना कहीं संविधान और आरक्षण वाला जो मुद्दा था विपक्ष का वो कारगर साबित हुआ।
