00:18be able to be documented and follow the rules, and this doesn't necessarily help us to that

00:27I mean, I don't think it's really about a mistake or a non-mistake.

00:31I think this is about policy, and if we want to solve the problem and issues of people

00:38not being able to enter the United States in a documented and orderly fashion, what

00:44we need to do is making a documented entry into the United States possible and more possible

00:52than it presently is.

00:54That to me, I think, should remain our priority.

00:57What does it show you about the president's moving to the right on this issue in an election year?

01:00Well, I think it shows that there's concern and that the concerns that the right is raising

01:07on the border are resonant in a lot of electorates, but our responsibility is to develop solutions

01:12that work.

01:13And listen, it's not just on the president, it's also on Congress, and this speaks to

01:17Congress's failure in both parties to actually pass immigration reform that expands the path

01:23to citizenship.
