00:39One stunt has involved using artificial intelligence to impersonate actor Tom Cruise's voice, narrating
00:44a fake documentary disparaging the IOC leadership.
00:48Other deceptive videos have also been disseminated online, one claiming to come from France 24,
00:53saying 24% of tickets for the Games had been returned due to fears of terrorism.
00:58Or this fake press release warning the public of possible terror attacks.
01:02Other images and videos reference the 1972 Munich Olympics, where members of militant
01:07group Black September killed 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team and a police officer.
01:13Microsoft expects this kind of activity to intensify as the date for the opening ceremony
01:18draws nearer.
