The Maldives has officially banned the entry of Israeli nationals into the country starting Sunday, June 2, 2024. The announcement was made by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihsaan, during a news conference at the President’s Office on Sunday afternoon.

Following a recommendation from the Cabinet, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu resolved to impose a ban on Israeli passports.
