Hadith number 3 in Sahih Bukhari describes the commencement of Divine Revelation to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It narrates that the first revelations came to him in the form of true dreams. Following this, he was inclined towards seclusion and would spend time in the cave of Hira for meditation. During one of these times, the angel Gabriel came to him, initiating the prophetic mission by revealing the first verses of the Quran.
