Dortmund lost the 2012/13 UCL final at Wembley - can they stop history repeating itself in London on June 1?
Transcript
00:00 Our goal wasn't to qualify for the final, our goal was to win the Champions League.
00:05 And if you want to win the Champions League, you have to beat the champions.
00:08 We imagined our Bundesliga season differently.
00:20 We are dissatisfied that we are in fifth place.
00:22 There are reasons why we are in fifth place, we have to admit that.
00:26 On the other hand, we have to admit that we overperformed in the Champions League season.
00:35 It's a discussion all the time because everybody asks me about it.
00:39 But at the end, of course, it's done. The team is different, the situation is different.
00:44 The city is the same, the stadium is the same.
00:47 And I have the feeling that we have a kind of an unfinished business there to do with that final in Wembley.
00:54 I need Marco on Saturday. I need his qualities, we need his qualities.
00:58 Because he has shown that in many decisive phases.
01:02 And just as we need every single one, we need a special team.
01:08 And I think that's what we need.
01:11 I think that's what we need.
01:13 And I think that's what we need.
01:15 And I think that's what we need.
01:17 And I think that's what we need.
01:19 And just as we need every single one, we need Marco in particular.
01:24 Because he has this experience, because he experienced his first season at Borussia Dortmund,
01:27 and then the last season in Wembley.
01:30 And now the last game in his last season at Borussia Dortmund is also taking place in Wembley.
01:35 And I think that would be the perfect framework to close the circle there.
01:45 With every draw, with every decision we make, we want to give everything to be in top form on 1/6
01:51 and to show our best season in Wembley.
01:54 Thank you very much.
