00:00 I always have people or my partner or whoever to make the decisions for me.
00:06 Kapuso, "Prime Time Princess".
00:20 Actually, I don't know when it started because if I'm not mistaken,
00:25 I started with Kapuso, "Twin Queen".
00:29 [Laughs]
00:31 I grew older so of course, "Twin" doesn't fit anymore.
00:35 So, I don't know when it started but I remember
00:39 how excited I was when I first heard that I was called that.
00:44 And, of course, to be recognized by your mother network as their "Prime Time Princess".
00:52 It's such an honor for me and it also gave me inspiration and motivation
00:59 to do better.
01:00 If it was 100% before, we'll give it 200% now.
01:04 [Laughs]
01:05 To be honest, I'm not the one who should be asking.
01:13 Because, of course, I'm just a "plamang" (filipino actress)
01:17 but that's a collaborative work of the creative,
01:22 the captain of the ship, the director, of course,
01:25 and everyone behind the camera.
01:27 Of course, the one who made the story, the one who wrote it,
01:29 and of course, GMA.
01:31 What I can say is,
01:35 I feel like I have that mass appeal
01:40 and I'm very proud of it because they are the best audience to cater to.
01:46 It's so fun and they really appreciate what we do for them.
01:51 So, it's more enjoyable to work with them.
01:55 [Music]
02:01 Actor Al Pacino, actress Meryl Streep.
02:06 And I admire them so much because
02:10 in whatever they do, in terms of their craft,
02:14 their acting, it comes naturally.
02:17 It's so effortless but I can only imagine
02:22 how difficult and detailed their process is
02:28 in how they do their work.
02:31 And what I love most about them is that
02:34 they keep their personal lives intact and private.
02:38 And that's my dream.
02:42 [Music]
02:48 When I hear the "5, 4, 3, 2, action!"
02:52 it means I'm about to do what I love to do.
02:56 [Music]
03:05 I'd like to believe that yes,
03:09 because for me, it's the little things, right?
03:15 Before, it was just special occasions
03:19 or when we had a birthday, we'd just eat at a restaurant.
03:23 Now, I really bring them wherever my family wants to eat.
03:30 No questions asked.
03:31 And also, my mom,
03:35 I saw her stapling a box of Yema.
03:40 Now, she's watching 5 or 6 K-dramas
03:44 while she's at home,
03:46 on the air-conditioner, with my dogs.
03:50 My dad, he has more shoes than me.
03:56 Before, he'd just watch at the mall.
03:58 Now, he's in his closet,
04:00 in his new closet in our new house.
04:04 [Laughs]
04:06 [Music]
04:14 That I don't make my own decisions.
04:17 That I always have people or my partner
04:21 or whoever to make the decisions for me.
04:24 And let me tell you,
04:26 oh no, not me,
04:27 let GMA Sparkle, my family, and Jack tell you otherwise.
04:32 [Laughs]
04:37 [Music]
04:45 It helped because people got to know me faster.
04:54 And it helped in terms of,
05:01 it expanded my range as an actress.
05:06 Because to be honest,
05:08 in my career before Marie Clara and Ibarra,
05:13 I never imagined that I'd go back to the love team.
05:15 Because I said, I came from there,
05:17 so I thought it was over.
05:18 But now, I'm back there,
05:20 and people still support me.
05:21 So it made me very proud of myself.
05:25 Because I can still be in the love team, right?
05:31 And I feel like overall,
05:35 it's a very good business.
05:38 The challenges,
05:39 maybe how to divert people's attention from my personal life.
05:46 Especially if it doesn't really concern the love team per se.
05:52 And by the way, I am speaking in general.
05:58 This is based on my experience in general.
06:02 Having the need to build a good working relationship
06:07 with your on-screen partner and having to maintain it.
06:11 Because unfortunately, it's not all the time that you like the person right away.
06:17 Of course, you're with them almost every day, right?
06:20 So there's extra effort and extra work that you have to put in
06:24 to really get to know the person, understand the person.
06:28 And I understand that very much now.
06:31 Because I understand the concept of the love team better.
06:34 And I'd like to think that I've matured.
06:37 So I'm always willing to do that extra work.
06:42 But of course, as long as they don't disrespect me,
06:46 my time and my job.
06:49 I always say this,
06:57 I really want to be a serial killer.
06:59 It's too far, I know.
07:02 That's why I look so far.
07:04 That's why it might not happen yet.
07:07 I haven't done it yet because it's a bit challenging
07:11 for a writer to imagine me as a serial killer.
07:16 But I am willing as in,
07:19 that's my dream role.
07:21 I learned a lot.
07:33 I learned not to take things seriously
07:37 and to take things seriously at the same time,
07:40 if that makes any sense.
07:42 And also, if there's something I want to change,
07:48 I could have done more films,
07:49 given the chance and the time.
07:52 Because for me,
07:55 looking back,
07:58 GMA has given me so much,
08:02 so much projects,
08:04 and so much TV projects
08:06 that I can say I'm really grateful for.
08:11 And given the chance,
08:14 I hope I could have done more films
08:17 that are really a battle for international film festivals.
08:20 Because I experienced coming to Estonia
08:24 because I represented Tuos,
08:26 one of my independent films
08:28 with Miss Nora Onor
08:31 and directed by Larry Cabrillo.
08:33 I like that experience
08:35 because it's so fulfilling as an actress and as an artist.
08:39 Thank you! Thank you so much, Pep!
08:40 Thank you! Thank you so much!
