Oldest places in Knaresborough including Knaresborough Castle, the House in the Rock and Chapel of Our Lady of the Crag

There are plenty of places in Knaresborough where you can learn about its history.

The Yorkshire Post reporter Liana Jacob visited four of the town's oldest attractions.

Knaresborough Castle dates back to 1100, the House in the Rock was built by Thomas Hill between 1770 and 1790, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Crag was built in 1408 by John the Mason and St John the Baptist Church was built in the 1100s.

They have been tourist attractions for decades.
