00:14 Good for him and good for the Dolphins
00:15 and Tyree Kill needs to get a raise here.

00:19 At some point, they're gonna have to redo his deal
00:21 or give him more money because he's absolutely phenomenal.
00:23 He's gonna be a hall of famer, but yeah.
00:25 So Waddell is the latest to do it.
00:26 And this has been an interesting off season
00:29 for wide receivers.
00:29 This has been the off season for extensions.
00:32 Waddell, A.J. Brown, by the way, Devontae Smith.
00:35 So the Eagles right now are the first team
00:38 to pay both receivers super high money.
00:40 That's not often happening.
00:42 And they're a team that's done it.
00:44 And we'll talk about some of the other teams here.
00:45 Amadou Rassim Brown of the Lions is absolutely terrific.
00:49 Who's been a great story as a former fourth round pick.
00:51 He got his extension.
00:53 Nico Collins just got his with the Texans
00:55 and they're loaded on offense.
00:56 That's one of my breakout teams this season.
00:58 So they should have been.
00:59 Last season we all missed on that.
01:01 Michael Pittman Jr.
01:02 You might remember his dad, Michael Pittman Sr.
01:04 the running back for the Bucs, won a Superbowl.
01:07 And also a couple of other teams.
01:08 And Jerry Judy.
01:09 Now remember with Jerry Judy,
01:11 the Broncos did not want to extend his contract.
01:13 So they traded him to the Browns.
01:15 So the Browns is potentially to trade for him.
01:17 They got that extension done
01:19 with the re-signing of Mike Evans,
01:21 who's gonna be a hall of famer someday with the Bucs,
01:23 of course, for over 20 million.
01:25 Now, how about the guys who are still unsigned
01:28 or need to get an extension?
01:30 Tee Higgins is not signed.
01:32 He can't practice.
01:33 He's on the franchise tag.
01:34 If he doesn't sign his franchise tender,
01:36 he can't practice so he's out of camp.
01:38 Jermar Chase, he wants this extension.
01:41 Now you're starting to see where this money is.
01:43 A.J. Brown, the highest paid receiver
01:45 in the National Football League at 32 million.
01:47 Chase will try to beat that.
01:48 So will Justin Jefferson,
01:50 who we could argue and debate who the best receiver is.
01:53 Justin Jefferson will get a minimum of 32 million a season,
01:56 if not 33 or more.
01:58 Also, Jermar Chase, as we mentioned,
02:00 and Brandon Iyuk is phenomenal.
02:02 The problem with Iyuk is,
02:03 when you look at this, Scott,
02:06 Iyuk's on a team with Christian McCaffrey,
02:10 maybe arguably the best all-around back
02:14 in the last 20 years on offense.
02:16 Then you've got George Kittle,
02:17 who's gotta get the football.
02:19 You've got Debo Samuel, who's gotta get the football.
02:22 If you put Iyuk on the Bills
02:23 or another team that throws the ball a lot,
02:25 and if he was their number one receiver,
02:27 this guy's a top five receiver.
02:29 But unfortunately, he plays with a team
02:31 where there's so much talent,
02:33 and also a lot of guys are gonna have to get paid.
02:35 So it's gonna be hard to get him up to 30 million.
02:38 But he certainly should get,
02:39 if he gets his extension, done waddle money,
02:41 which is over 28 million.
02:43 And also, when you look at the situation with Tee Higgins,
02:46 he's in a tough spot.
02:47 You and I have talked about him before.
02:48 Really good football player.
02:50 He's around 25 million a year.
02:52 He's around that Devante Smith money.
02:53 But can't imagine he'll get more than that.
02:55 If he gets a deal done.
02:56 And remember now,
02:57 they gotta get Jamar Chase's deal done.
02:59 So again, when we look at receiver,
03:01 a lot have gotten done,
03:02 but some big ones, the big fish,
03:04 obviously is Justin Jefferson.
03:06 - They're not gonna give Tee Higgins that money.
03:08 They have to give it to Jamar Chase.
03:10 That's all there is to it.
03:11 And why don't the Niners, I'm asking you,
03:15 trade him already?
03:16 I mean, they haven't been able
03:16 to even come close to a deal with Iyuk.
03:19 Because of all the reasons you said,
03:21 and all of those reasons aren't going away.
03:24 So why don't they just deal him for God's sakes?
03:27 - And by the way, they drafted,
03:28 this is a stunner.
03:29 Ricky Pearsall was their first round pick,
03:32 a wide receiver.
03:33 They went with the highest player who was on their board,
03:34 but that was clearly not a position of need.
03:37 They've tried to get Iyuk's deal done.
03:39 They still are confident they can get it done.
03:41 They've made it clear they didn't wanna trade him.
