Canino switch reaps reward for Alas  Usually playing the open hitter position, Angel Canino switched to being an opposite spiker for Alas Pilipinas at the AVC Challenge Cup for Women. Canino thrived in her new role as she plucked the Best Opposite Spiker award in the tournament where Alas also claimed a historic bronze medal after defeating Australia in the battle for third place, 25-23, 25-15, 25-7, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila on May 29, 2024. 00:36 Of course, it's my teammates, management, and coaches.

00:54 Angel, after this tournament, how comfortable are you with your position as a representative?

01:01 Well, I'm not comfortable with this position.

01:06 But what I can say right now is, I'm in one position.

01:22 But would you say that you got your experience back after this tournament?

01:26 Well, my experience is a one-time thing.
