Hoop Dreams Season 2 is here. This time, we tried something a little different. The Ballislife panel went out and recruited 6 of the contestants and only 2 spots were picked from online submissions. We hope you enjoy an all new season of Hoop Dreams!

01:39 I'm New Williams and I'm from Inglewood, California.
01:41 I've been playing basketball my whole life.
01:43 21 years. I'm actually a professional right now.
01:45 This is my second year.
01:47 Just finished a season in Serbia.
01:49 Went to Auburn University.
01:51 Then transferred, played at Fresno State.
01:53 I played for a quick little second
01:55 with Ignite when Ignite was first around.
01:57 And then went overseas, played in
01:59 Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela.
02:01 Just to name a few countries.
02:03 Played 3-on-3 with USA Basketball.
02:05 Just, man, I've been hoping my whole life.
02:07 I've been small my whole life.
02:09 High school, I didn't even,
02:11 I wasn't even over 120 pounds.
02:13 So I had people telling me I'm too little to do this.
02:15 Nobody gonna take a chance on me.
02:17 So I was like, "I'm gonna do this."
02:19 Nobody gonna take a chance on me.
02:21 So it's just basically been a grind my whole life
02:23 to show everybody I can do anything at my size.
02:25 You know, my junior year of high school,
02:27 I tore my ACL.
02:29 I was top 25 in the nation.
02:31 Had every school, I mean,
02:33 Louisville, North Carolina, Kentucky,
02:35 you know, all the big dogs.
02:37 It kind of fell off after I tore my ACL
02:39 because, you know, back then,
02:41 it's considered a career-ending injury.
02:43 And especially me being the type of player I am,
02:45 super athletic, super athletic,
02:47 super bouncy, you know, a lot of people didn't believe
02:49 that I could come back the same.
02:51 My mentality was just kill everybody.
02:53 Whoever in front of me, kill.
02:55 Show them size don't mean nothing at all.
02:57 If you got the skill, you can be at any level you want to be at.
