Suspect in Makati road rage arrested

Gerard Raymond Talusan Yu, the suspect in a shooting incident on the southbound lane of the Edsa-Ayala tunnel in Makati City on May 28, 2024, is presented to the media at the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame, Quezon City on May 29. Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, together with Police Maj. Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil and National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Jose Melencio Corpus Nartatez Jr., said a murder case will be filed against Yu after he shot dead the driver of another vehicle during a traffic altercation.

00:00On a white Toyota Nova with plate number N6NCB541,
00:08when the Toyota Nova was traversing from BTC on their way home to Ayala, Alabama,
00:15they were engaged in a road rage with a driver of a black Mercedes-Benz.
00:21At that instance, the driver occupant of the Mercedes-Benz,
00:27suddenly fart-shot using an unidentified type of firearm towards the moving Toyota Nova.
00:38Suddenly, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz was shot and killed.
00:45Because of this, the passenger was hit.
00:50So, we think the right passenger will go and pass through the back of the right shoulder of the driver we think.
00:58The BNP leadership is now preparing to file a criminal sub-murder against the suspect
01:05and we are committed to bringing justice to the victim and his loved ones.
