00:00But the kids, it was all improvised, for various reasons.

00:05One, because you could never get kids to sound like kids.

00:16Well, they're my children, you know. Obviously.

00:19But I know you're right.

00:21It's sometimes, you know, love them as we do,

00:23it's a bit painful watching children acting

00:25because you can see them acting, you know? Yeah.

00:28And that was the thought, that was one of the thoughts,

00:31was that you'll never get them to sound like real children

00:34unless you let them be real children.

00:36And the other reason was, perhaps more fundamentally,

00:39was that when we started, they were so young

00:41that I think Ramona, who plays Karen, couldn't read.

00:43So there's no point. No.

00:45There's no point in giving them a script.

00:47So how do you think it will feel, then,

00:48when you're stepping back into this now

00:50and on, obviously, you and Eclair are a real life couple now?

00:55Well, I think it will feel... I'm really looking forward to it,

00:57and we're all looking forward to it, I think.

00:59But it's going to be strange, isn't it? Yeah.

01:01Because it's sort of... I don't think we live together any more,

01:04you know, as a family, and we're coming...

01:06Oh, a difference in style.

01:08But there's lots of different stuff to reflect, isn't there?

01:10I mean, one of the great things about the show was

01:12it actually did sort of seem to me to reflect life as it actually was.

01:16It covers a couple of points that are happening out there in real life.

01:19And as it changes.
