00:03 these preconceived ideas of what storylines go in Star Wars shows and movies, but I'm
00:08 hearing there's a little bit of freshness to this one and that comes with another pressure,

00:15 Impress the old fans, impress the new. You feeling that?
00:16 I am definitely feeling that. I think as a fan myself, the old fans will like it, but
00:20 you can't guarantee that everyone's going to like it, but I as a fan like it. But I
00:25 think with new ideas always comes a little bit of questioning, I think, and hesitation.
00:35 I hope we win them over. It's really fun. It's kind of dark and gritty and I love the
00:43 crime thriller aspect that Leslie's brought to it. And we have Amanda who is the most
00:49 wonderful actress at the helm, so I'm just really excited for everyone to see her as
00:53 well.
00:54 As a film fan, as an actor you become an actor because you love movies and shows and performances
00:58 and that kind of thing, I would imagine. So as a film fan, what does this Star Wars world
01:03 sort of mean to you? What kind of movies do you think of? What moments in your childhood
01:06 does it take you back to?
01:07 It takes me back to watching it with my dad when I was like eight, which is really sweet.
01:12 It's truly this franchise to me is my dad. And obviously Han Solo and Leia and Luke,
01:19 because I watched the original trilogy with my dad. We went to a video store when those
01:24 were still a thing and we rented out the movies and we watched them together.
01:29 I think for a lot of people it takes them back to those kind of core memories. That's
01:32 probably why it's so popular and so special to people, especially all the people behind
01:35 you with their plastic swords waiting to wave around.
01:39 And tell me a bit about your character and what this particular show is bringing to that
01:45 universe and how much you've enjoyed being part of it as an actor.
01:51 I honestly can't even believe I'm a part of it still. I already shot it a year and a half
01:55 ago. But it's insane. It means so much to me. I'm so excited. I was beyond ecstatic
02:01 every single day on set. And the fact that we're at the premiere and it's about to come
02:05 out is insane. I'm terrified.
02:10 I'm Fred. No appearance in Deadpool Wolverine, but is that confirmed? Is that definite? We're
02:17 definitely not going to see him pop up any time. And if not, was it a bit sad not to
02:20 be involved?
02:21 Of course it's sad. I love Hugh and creatively I love Ryan and I love Sean. I'm really excited
02:27 to see what they've made. I think Sean's one of the best directors out there right now
02:30 and obviously Ryan's a legend. It would have been amazing to be a part of it, but I'll
02:35 just go watch it as a fan and to see my old buddy in it.
