and storms across the country, BBC reports.
Over Memorial Day weekend, at least 23 people
were killed, and hundreds more were injured.
Approximately 200,000 people

leaving over 80,000 homes without power.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has
declared a state of emergency, referencing the
"devastating storms that hit almost the entire state.".
Texas Governor Greg Abbott said that
over a third of the state's counties were in
a state of disaster from the extreme weather.
The National Weather Service (NWS) warns
that severe weather may continue until May 29.
Flash flooding, "significant damaging wind and
large hail" is expected throughout northern and
central Texas, as well as southern Oklahoma.
