I am Behnaz and I live in the village with my mother. My mother and I, as well as our grandparents, were born in this village and our ancestors have lived here for 300 years. This is a summer area in the heart of the Alborz Mountains. The mountains are at war with the river and the villages are very beautiful and spectacular, and most of its inhabitants are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. Life in the village and in the heart of nature in old and traditional ways is far from the hustle and bustle of the city.




Gilan is one of the forested areas of Iran, full of diverse vegetation, where all kinds of trees can be
seen in these forests, various seasonal fruits, medicinal plants, beautiful flowers, etc.
Our ancestors were very interested in trees and growing flowers and plants, and they planted and cultivated the trees that gave fruits and benefits in the yards of their houses and large gardens, or sometimes even in the heart of the forest, so that both they and the next generations from this to use fruits, this good behavior has been prevalent among all classes of this nation for a long time and is still prevalent today;

One of the types of plants that are of great interest to the local people here is the walnut tree.
The fruit of this tree is considered one of the most important food items of these people and is used in many of our dishes. Its excellent properties and wonderful taste, as well as the fertility of the soil of this land for the walnut tree, have made its fruit popular among these people.

Today's dish is one of my favorite dishes and the majority of people in this region, which is known as Longi. As you can guess, walnut is one of the main ingredients of this dish and it gives it a wonderful taste.

ingredients:
an onion
walnut
Chicken
Aloche jungle pickle
Salt
pepper
Turmeric


How to prepare:
Grate the onions with a medium grater and take the juice
Powder the dried walnuts and add them to the grated onion
Then add some pickles and spices to it and stir well

Fry the chicken seasoned with pickles and spices in hot oil, pour the prepared walnut ingredients on it and add some water to it.
Then we add some tomatoes, green peppers and wild plums as desired, these additions are optional and make the food more sour.
We leave the food on the heat for about an hour and then our food is ready.
