00:00:00 Do you have Madhuri Dixit in your mind, in your script?
00:00:03 Let me tell you one thing, I have never made a film in such a way that we have written a Bible, we cannot shake it.
00:00:09 It grows a person and a basic structure is right on screen.
00:00:14 But sometimes something happens, sometimes something happens, you never know.
00:00:17 Anish, what is this?
00:00:20 I said, sir, what happened?
00:00:22 Where is my dialogue? It is a fantastic dialogue.
00:00:26 What is Anil Kapoor's secret for survival for so long?
00:00:32 He loves himself too much.
00:00:34 If you ask me what is my hobby, I don't have any hobby.
00:00:37 I don't have any friends.
00:00:39 Did you have to talk to Akshay that I am not making this with you?
00:00:44 He is such a big star, he is such a big star and such a big actor that whether he is making a film or not,
00:00:51 he will not get any benefit, I mean, others can get a loss, not him.
00:00:55 Anish ji, it is so good to see you.
00:01:03 I was very worried, what accident happened to you?
00:01:07 No, no, I will tell you that I went to 5-6 cities to see the location of this film.
00:01:13 Bulbulai.
00:01:14 Bulbulai, yes. So I was in Punjab, I was in Baroda and as per my habit, I jump from here to there.
00:01:21 So, we were in a river, there was a stone, there is another stone, so I jumped from there too.
00:01:28 So I did everything everywhere, I never got hurt.
00:01:32 And when I reached Kolkata, I fell on the carpet of my hotel.
00:01:38 Oh.
00:01:39 So I think that precautions…
00:01:42 Means, where you jumped, nothing happened.
00:01:44 No, where I jumped, where I took a risk, where I should not do everything, I did that.
00:01:49 And I was normal and no problem happened.
00:01:52 And this is the first time that happened in my leg.
00:01:54 And that was also a very sad thing that very less time was left for my shooting.
00:01:58 So I was little worried for the shooting, what will happen, what will not happen.
00:02:01 Next day I got a surgery done, it was a major surgery.
00:02:04 Surgery?
00:02:05 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:02:06 Then I sat on a wheelchair, shooting started in a few days and I started my shoot.
00:02:12 So you started in a wheelchair?
00:02:14 I think that I have done all the shooting on a wheelchair.
00:02:19 So Bhool Bhool Aaya 3 has been made with a director on a wheelchair.
00:02:23 Yeah, but my leg is fine now.
00:02:25 Then I started working on a stick, now I am doing without a stick too.
00:02:29 So the film has started now and a little shooting has been done.
00:02:32 But the remaining shooting, I think, will be done with peace and quiet.
00:02:36 Okay, I am glad.
00:02:37 You know your Bhool Bhool Aaya 3 is so much in the news.
00:02:41 And not because of the director in a wheelchair, but because of your casting.
00:02:47 Yeah, casting is, Bhool Bhool Aaya 3 is better than 2,
00:02:55 bigger, more horror, so in every way it should be bigger than Bhool Bhool Aaya 2.
00:03:01 And we tried our level best to do the best for this film.
00:03:06 So we did that, in which Kartik, well he did a great job in the last film too.
00:03:11 In this, he has a different form, it will be fun to see him.
00:03:15 Then Siddhi Devaraj did a great job, she is a very good actress.
00:03:20 And apart from that, Vidya Balanji.
00:03:23 So after watching the first film, I liked her acting a lot.
00:03:27 She is a good actress and I always felt that she does such a good job.
00:03:31 So in this film I thought, let's talk to her.
00:03:35 And luckily for us, we told her, she liked it a lot.
00:03:38 So we are working and we are very excited.
00:03:40 Because she was not there in your second instalment.
00:03:43 Yeah, in the second one, Tabuji was there.
00:03:46 And you must have seen how well Tabuji has done.
00:03:50 There are very few actors like her.
00:03:53 And I was very happy working with her, it was fun.
00:03:57 But I am having the same experience with Vidya.
00:04:01 Although this was a quick shooting, it was a surprise.
00:04:06 I felt that this shot and this dialogue was not like that.
00:04:09 As she said, she is doing such a good job.
00:04:11 So that is a feeling.
00:04:13 And did you feel a little hesitant because you did not take her for the second instalment.
00:04:20 So was there a little embarrassment when you went to her?
00:04:22 I think all these actors who are matured and know how to work, can work.
00:04:28 They know what is the vision and what is needed.
00:04:32 So there was nothing like that.
00:04:34 And I do not know Vidya ji from today.
00:04:37 I have known Vidya ji since that time.
00:04:39 I mean, I have a very old friendship with her.
00:04:42 Really?
00:04:43 Yes, I made a film.
00:04:44 But where?
00:04:45 I have done a very small work.
00:04:46 I made a film, I said thank you.
00:04:48 It is a coincidence that I have written something for all the actors in the film.
00:04:56 I had written a film for Vidya ji, but when I needed her thank you, I called her.
00:05:04 And she said okay.
00:05:08 And it was just a guest appearance, only for 2-3 days work.
00:05:11 And I did not have any friends at that time, I did not work.
00:05:15 Despite that, she worked in the film.
00:05:18 She worked.
00:05:19 Nice, and she did a very nice job.
00:05:21 So my friendship is going on.
00:05:23 And these are all the people who know when, where and what should happen.
00:05:27 And today when I thought that Vidya ji will come in this film, it was very good.
00:05:31 And she was very happy.
00:05:33 You know Bhool Bhoolaiya, the first was directed by Priyadarshan.
00:05:39 And the second one came to you.
00:05:41 So how did that happen that now Bhool Bhoolaiya has become Anish Bajne's property.
00:05:46 You have got ownership of it now.
00:05:48 This property is of Anushan Kumar.
00:05:50 I understand of course, but what I mean is now it has gone gradually from Priyadarshan to Anish Bajne.
00:05:58 So how did this happen?
00:06:00 What happens is that we directors are a little innocent.
00:06:04 We are happy when our name is written, a film by Anish Bajne.
00:06:10 But till the time that film is released, naturally there is a different attachment with it.
00:06:15 And there is a different passion.
00:06:17 We work with a lot of hard work.
00:06:20 And as far as Priyadarshan ji is concerned, I think he is a very beautiful director.
00:06:26 I don't know how much work he has done.
00:06:28 And the first film that he made was an iconic film.
00:06:32 When I saw the film, I liked it so much.
00:06:34 In that all the people did a very good job.
00:06:36 Like Akshay ji, Vidya ji and all the other people.
00:06:39 And Priyadarshan ji's work was very good.
00:06:41 So when he approached me in this film, I was very sure that I didn't want to make a psychological thriller.
00:06:50 You had made Deewangi and Nandakar.
00:06:52 Yes, that's why.
00:06:53 Because the difficulties I faced in that film.
00:06:55 Because the film was very beautiful.
00:06:58 Ajay Devgn is still praised.
00:07:00 And all the people who have seen the film said that it doesn't seem that the person who made the film
00:07:07 who made a romantic film like Pyar Tohna Daya, No Entry, Welcome.
00:07:13 The films that I have made, it was a quite different genre for me.
00:07:18 And I enjoyed making that film.
00:07:20 But this is the truth that when such films are made, it is a pressure on a different mind.
00:07:27 So I made the film.
00:07:28 And because this film was a big hit, our first Bulbulaiyaan.
00:07:33 That's why I didn't want to put too much pressure.
00:07:36 Not pressure, but competition.
00:07:38 And I felt that I won't be able to do it very differently.
00:07:42 When we make films, franchises, it is very strange that you have to make a film like that.
00:07:49 But you didn't make that film.
00:07:50 So you are going on a very razor edge.
00:07:53 That there are problems in both places.
00:07:56 So I decided that there should be horror and comedy.
00:08:00 And the combination of horror and comedy and the chemistry between the two is very beautiful.
00:08:05 And we worked on that.
00:08:07 And then I was always worried that children don't come in horror movies.
00:08:14 Family films don't happen.
00:08:15 And I always make family films.
00:08:17 So then I made that kind of horror that the children were so scared that they got a little scared and watched the movie.
00:08:25 So that means there was this little bit of a hesitation from you when you got this offer from Bulbulaiyaan.
00:08:32 It's not like you wrote and told Bhushanji that I want to do it.
00:08:38 No, no, no.
00:08:39 You got the offer.
00:08:40 We were working on the story of this film from a long time.
00:08:43 With some other name.
00:08:45 It was not like Bulbulaiyaan.
00:08:47 We were working.
00:08:48 And when we felt that it was making very good.
00:08:51 And if this thing is added to it, then it can be a very good commercial decision.
00:08:56 And when we started working on it, it felt like no.
00:09:00 It doesn't even feel like we did it on purpose.
00:09:03 It was a very natural flow.
00:09:05 So we did this kind of thing.
00:09:07 So then you went to Bhushanji.
00:09:09 No, no, no.
00:09:10 I have worked a lot with Bhushanji and Murad bhai.
00:09:13 They are my friends.
00:09:14 And I have also worked with Bhushanji.
00:09:16 I made his film 'Ready' which was a very successful film.
00:09:20 So they approached me and I said yes, it will be fun.
00:09:24 Because it was my script.
00:09:26 As far as hesitation is concerned, it is every film.
00:09:30 When someone approaches me, I have to think a lot.
00:09:33 Because what is it, when your only purpose is not to make a film.
00:09:37 You have to make a film that people remember, your name is attached.
00:09:42 People have a lot of expectations from you.
00:09:44 So you have to be a little conscious.
00:09:47 So now it is not that whatever film is offered, yes, let's make it.
00:09:51 No, you can listen a little, think a little, understand, take time.
00:09:55 You can sit at home, you can sit comfortably in the office.
00:09:57 What is the hurry and what is the need to make films?
00:10:00 So whatever you make, make it with all your heart, with all your passion, with all your intensity.
00:10:04 And make it with all your satisfaction.
00:10:06 And try to make it, make it by believing that no, we are making something very, very good.
00:10:12 Then the result after that, that is in the hands of the audience and God.
00:10:16 But yes, if the result is not what you have thought.
00:10:20 Then at least you have to have a peace and satisfaction.
00:10:23 It is important that I have given my 200% in this film.
00:10:27 What else was there?
00:10:28 I did some kind of reduction in hard work.
00:10:30 This feeling should not come.
00:10:32 What are we listening to that Madhuri Dixit is also there?
00:10:36 I am also listening like this.
00:10:37 So many things are related to this.
00:10:42 But yes, let me tell you this much.
00:10:44 The actors who are happening, we have announced them.
00:10:48 And who does not want to work with Madhuri?
00:10:50 She is such a brilliant actor.
00:10:52 And I will be very happy if I get a chance to work with her.
00:10:56 Now we are making a film.
00:10:58 The people who are shooting with people, the people who have signed, we have announced.
00:11:02 So is Madhuri Dixit in your mind, in your script?
00:11:05 Now I am writing the film.
00:11:07 See, I have never made a film in such a way that we have written a Bible, we cannot move it.
00:11:14 That grows a person.
00:11:16 And a basic structure is right, screenplay is right.
00:11:19 But sometimes something happens, sometimes something happens, you never know.
00:11:22 So you are not ruling it out?
00:11:23 No, no, no, not at all.
00:11:25 Not today, not tomorrow, not the day after, I have to work.
00:11:28 I am talking about Bhool Bhaiya 3.
00:11:29 I don't know.
00:11:30 You don't know.
00:11:31 I thought your script is ready because your film is going to come out on Diwali.
00:11:34 It is going on, our shooting is going on, it is going on continuously.
00:11:36 And now the shooting is left, we have done a lot, a lot of shooting is left.
00:11:40 So in that, anything can happen.
00:11:43 Anything, anything can happen in Bhool Bhaiya.
00:11:46 Because I have also heard that Akshay Kumar will also be there.
00:11:50 Yes, see this can also happen.
00:11:51 I have also heard this.
00:11:52 I have heard that Naseer Bhai is also there.
00:11:53 Yes, Naseer Bhai.
00:11:54 So I don't know.
00:11:55 And as far as Bhool Bhaiya is concerned, I think anything can happen anytime and it can
00:12:00 seem shocking.
00:12:01 But there should not be any surprise on it that yes, this is the world of Bhool Bhaiya
00:12:05 3, this can happen.
00:12:06 So you are keeping all your cards open.
00:12:08 Yes, yes.
00:12:09 You have been close to your chest but everything is open.
00:12:13 Okay.
00:12:14 So let me just go back a little bit to Bhool Bhaiya 2 when you took the town.
00:12:21 Little bit you said you hesitated because it is a psychological thriller.
00:12:27 Why was that hesitation there?
00:12:29 Because I felt that they have made such a beautiful film on psychological thriller
00:12:34 and if I do it further, it will be very difficult to make such a beautiful film.
00:12:39 That is why Priya, Darshan Ji, Akshay and Vidya did a beautiful job and it was a beautiful
00:12:45 film.
00:12:46 So I wanted to do something a little different.
00:12:49 That was the reason.
00:12:50 You can't make the same thing.
00:12:52 Let me tell you that when I made No Entry, it took so much time to make No Entry 2 just
00:12:58 because what next, what to do, where to take it to a different level.
00:13:02 So today the third film that I have made, if you say competitively, yes we did it a little
00:13:07 in front of the audience but in 2 years.
00:13:09 I feel that people's memory is also getting less now.
00:13:12 So now in memory that it was a beautiful film, so it will be beneficial.
00:13:16 But there was no other reason to do that.
00:13:19 The reason was only that we got a beautiful story.
00:13:22 So it is a very beautiful story and we are enjoying like anything.
00:13:27 And not only me, I think my entire unit and everybody is very excited and very happy.
00:13:36 So I think…
00:13:37 What is your, what do you think is that one thing which is going to make such a difference
00:13:42 to Bhool Bhai?
00:13:43 It's very difficult to tell one thing.
00:13:45 Lot of things are there.
00:13:46 And when you see the film, then you come to know that this is why Anish was saying this.
00:13:51 There is very beautiful music, very beautiful writing, I think the performance is of a different
00:13:57 level, there are dialogues.
00:13:59 If you see the taking of this film, I feel that I have made so many films but some of
00:14:05 them are different, some are different.
00:14:08 So we all are excited.
00:14:10 So when you made Bhool Bhula, did you speak to Priyadarshan Ji?
00:14:15 Priyadarshan Ji called me.
00:14:18 So nice of him.
00:14:20 And I think there are very few people in this line who are very happy.
00:14:26 I know Priyadarshan Ji from a long time and he knows that I like him a lot.
00:14:32 So when you know that a person likes you a lot, then you have to work hard to not like
00:14:38 him.
00:14:39 So he knows that I respect him a lot as a filmmaker and I like him as a person.
00:14:46 So he called me himself and said Anish I am so happy that you are making this film because
00:14:51 it is a good responsibility, a big responsibility and I am very sure that you will make a very
00:14:56 good film.
00:14:57 So I said thank you sir.
00:14:59 It is his love.
00:15:01 That's very nice.
00:15:02 Did you have to talk to Akshay that I am not making this with you?
00:15:07 No, I keep meeting Akshay Ji.
00:15:09 I am very close to Akshay Ji.
00:15:11 And we are still planning something.
00:15:13 Maybe we will do it.
00:15:15 I have made two very beautiful films with Akshay Ji which I think will be remembered
00:15:20 for my life and for his life as well.
00:15:23 Singh is King and Welcome.
00:15:25 So I have the same equation, the same friendship, the same love and the same love with him even
00:15:29 today.
00:15:30 And when the film was being made, so naturally the producers and all these people, we used
00:15:35 to meet them and these were all their decisions.
00:15:38 If you ask me, I always want to work with Akshay Ji because he is a damn good actor and
00:15:45 we have a lot of friendship, a very good environment and I am very happy to work with him.
00:15:49 So we kept meeting in between and we kept meeting even then.
00:15:52 So this thing never came that how can I not meet him?
00:15:55 I think it is a very small thing for him.
00:15:57 For him actually it is.
00:15:58 He is a big star, he is a big star and he is a big actor that whether he is doing a film
00:16:03 or not, he cannot take any loss.
00:16:05 I mean others can take a loss but not him.
00:16:08 Also I think they also understand that this is filmmaking.
00:16:12 You have to go with what suits the character.
00:16:14 Absolutely.
00:16:15 Absolutely.
00:16:16 They all understand.
00:16:17 I have told you this earlier also.
00:16:19 All actors are very matured.
00:16:21 They understand.
00:16:22 But did you take a long time to decide on Kartik Aryan to take on such an iconic film?
00:16:26 No, no. I took one second because when I saw his film Pyar Ka Panchnama, I have a habit
00:16:35 that when I see people's work and I like it, I look for their phone numbers and call them.
00:16:41 Okay.
00:16:42 I think that it is better to do it.
00:16:44 Appreciation.
00:16:45 Yes.
00:16:46 So I praised Kartik a lot and he was very happy.
00:16:49 So that equation was there since then.
00:16:51 Since then.
00:16:52 So after that I was shooting in London and he was shooting for some other film and we
00:16:57 were staying in the same hotel.
00:16:59 So we used to meet in the morning while going for shooting and at night.
00:17:03 So I don't know.
00:17:04 I always liked Kartik.
00:17:06 And when I was told that Kartik, I said why not.
00:17:11 I didn't take a single second.
00:17:13 So it was suggested by the producers?
00:17:15 Yes.
00:17:16 I was going to do a film with Kartik earlier.
00:17:19 Okay.
00:17:20 So they knew that Anees is a good twin with Kartik and Anees likes him a lot and there
00:17:27 won't be any problem.
00:17:28 So they said let's take Kartik.
00:17:30 I said yeah fantastic.
00:17:31 Next time he came in my office, we met and we had a very loving picture.
00:17:35 It was fun.
00:17:36 Lovely.
00:17:37 And I think for Kartik, his life has become a very important film, this Bulbul Unha Tu.
00:17:43 Important means it was the most important film of his career so far.
00:17:49 Yes.
00:17:50 Yeah.
00:17:51 I mean because you know especially the atmosphere.
00:17:53 It was a very bad atmosphere.
00:17:55 Films were not running.
00:17:57 And I'll be very honest, even I was very scared.
00:18:01 What will happen?
00:18:02 Everything was flopping.
00:18:04 People started saying that people will not go to the theatre after leaving the house.
00:18:08 Exactly.
00:18:09 In 2022.
00:18:10 Yes.
00:18:11 Now they will watch it on OTT.
00:18:12 OTT is a great platform.
00:18:14 And a lot of beautiful work is going on on it.
00:18:16 And I have seen a lot myself.
00:18:18 I mean all the series and whatever I have seen in the pandemic, I think if it wasn't for OTT, I would have gone mad.
00:18:24 This much.
00:18:25 But the film's screen, the magic of sitting with people on a big screen and watching a film, that magic is different.
00:18:34 And people started saying that people will not watch films in the theatres.
00:18:39 So we were also very scared because when you give a film of your life for 2-3 years,
00:18:45 you work so hard, so naturally the result is very important.
00:18:48 And I will never say that making a film is important for me.
00:18:52 And after that I don't worry if the film runs or not.
00:18:55 No.
00:18:56 If I say that, I worry.
00:18:59 I think people have a lot of expectations and we should live up to those expectations.
00:19:04 And I am very happy if the film runs or not.
00:19:08 So yes, I get very disturbed.
00:19:11 It's a different thing that I forget that very quickly.
00:19:14 But yes, I get disturbed.
00:19:16 When you work very hard on something and when it doesn't happen, I feel what has happened.
00:19:22 So in 2022, we had a lot of films that flopped.
00:19:26 Big films, which had a lot of expectations.
00:19:29 Like Vikram Vedha, even Brahmastra was disappointing.
00:19:33 Then you had big films like Jayesh Bhai, Sambar, Prithviraj, Circus.
00:19:39 So many films, lots of films came and just dropped, dropped, dropped.
00:19:44 So when your Bhool Bhulai came, I think only Kashmir Files and Drishyam 2 had done well in that year.
00:19:50 So your film that came, that was a commercial, big film.
00:19:56 I mean, how do you think it did?
00:19:59 It just stood there.
00:20:01 And it was Kartik Aaryan solo.
00:20:03 Yeah.
00:20:04 You know, it didn't have any, it had a franchise and it had Kartik Aaryan solo.
00:20:09 And that also with a big question mark.
00:20:11 Because people were used to Akshay Kumar, they were used to Manjulika, Vidya Balan.
00:20:17 They were used to that, you know, all that.
00:20:21 So, you know, you just surprised everybody.
00:20:25 But what did you feel?
00:20:27 I was very, very happy and relieved actually.
00:20:31 Because people bought it.
00:20:33 Even our producers and everyone said that you guys saved the film line.
00:20:36 So I said, don't say such things.
00:20:38 The film line is very big and we are a very small part of it.
00:20:41 Yes, you can say that when people gave so much love to this film and it became such a big hit,
00:20:48 then everyone had hope that it's not like people stopped coming to the theatre.
00:20:53 No, no, no.
00:20:54 If the film is like this.
00:20:55 It proved that.
00:20:56 Yes, this one thing I think will always be connected with this film.
00:21:00 That people's hopes were fulfilled by this film.
00:21:03 That it's not like people will not come to the theatre.
00:21:05 If you make a good film, people will come.
00:21:07 And the people who gave love, I was very happy and very happy.
00:21:11 And I felt that we got the fruit of our hard work and got a very good fruit.
00:21:18 Yes, yes.
00:21:19 And Kartik was much happier than that.
00:21:22 Because it was a very, very important film.
00:21:24 It was a very important film for Kartik, for Murad bhai, for everybody I think.
00:21:28 I mean everybody.
00:21:29 What is it about Kartik that you like repeating?
00:21:33 Number one, I feel it's a little easy for me to work with him.
00:21:38 I like it when it's easy to work with him.
00:21:41 The people I have worked with and repeated with, Nana Patekar.
00:21:45 I did three films with Nana Patekar.
00:21:48 And he's supposed to be a little sunky.
00:21:50 People say that.
00:21:51 But I feel that if they have the clarity that the film I'm doing,
00:21:56 the way I'm immersed in it,
00:21:59 maybe a little more than 5% of the people know him, like the director says.
00:22:03 So, he's, yeah, yeah.
00:22:05 So I feel that when an actor realizes,
00:22:09 he feels that no, we are in a safe hand.
00:22:12 And he's making a good film, he's doing a good job on my character.
00:22:15 So there are so many problems.
00:22:17 I worked with Nana ji, I don't know how many times I worked with Anil ji.
00:22:20 Such a good actor, such a big actor.
00:22:22 But there's no problem.
00:22:23 And no, sir, not like that, let's do it like this.
00:22:25 Okay, fine.
00:22:26 Not like that, let's do it like this.
00:22:27 Okay, fine.
00:22:28 So I worked with Akshay ji, I worked with Salman bhai.
00:22:31 With so many people.
00:22:32 I mean, there must be a lot of people with whom I worked.
00:22:35 There must be a few people with whom I didn't work.
00:22:37 So, Kartik is a sensible actor, I feel.
00:22:40 He's sensible.
00:22:41 Sensible.
00:22:42 He knows what the requirements of this scene are.
00:22:45 And if you say something to him, he listens, understands.
00:22:48 And, a big plus point of this, I'll tell you,
00:22:51 Kartik, he's a very hardworking guy.
00:22:55 He works very hard.
00:22:56 He works day and night.
00:22:58 So that passion, if you work so hard, then God will give you the fruit.
00:23:03 What is, what is, is it his emotive acting, is it his dialogue delivery, is it his dancing, what is it?
00:23:11 I think everything.
00:23:12 Like, the thing about dance, the last song he did in that film, he worked so hard.
00:23:18 Now see, people liked it so much.
00:23:20 As far as comedy is concerned, the scenes he did, people liked the comedy.
00:23:24 So I think, if, like the climax, it was very new and very different for him.
00:23:29 He had never done anything like this, that he possessed.
00:23:32 Now, the way he did it, the way we shot it, the way he explained it, the way he spoke,
00:23:37 the way he reacted, I think he's a director's actor.
00:23:42 Directors know what to do, and if he has the tuning, he'll do a great job.
00:23:47 That's true.
00:23:48 So, you mentioned that you were not, when a film doesn't do well, you feel bad about it.
00:23:53 That actually, anybody will feel.
00:23:54 So did you feel bad when Welcome Back did not do so well?
00:23:57 I'm not saying that Welcome Back didn't do well.
00:24:01 Our expectations were low.
00:24:03 Because Welcome was a big, big hit.
00:24:05 If you compare it to Welcome, you can say that it was a low-budget film.
00:24:10 But, you see, the three-day beginning, the collections,
00:24:16 before that, there had never been a film by John Abraham.
00:24:19 It was 50-55 crores in the beginning, in three days.
00:24:22 And I think, the film that makes 100-125 crores, yes, our expectations were 200 crores.
00:24:28 That's a different thing.
00:24:29 But I still feel that it was a very good film.
00:24:33 Nanak ji was very good.
00:24:35 Even today, there are so many people who call me and say, "John was very good in that film."
00:24:43 So, I didn't feel bad about it.
00:24:45 I liked the film.
00:24:46 People enjoyed it.
00:24:47 And whatever money we had invested, we used it equally.
00:24:52 And the film was a success.
00:24:54 So, you're not disappointed in Welcome Back?
00:24:56 No, not at all.
00:24:57 You don't think you went wrong in that?
00:24:58 No, no, no.
00:24:59 I'm so sure that the first film, Welcome, was a great film.
00:25:05 It was very different.
00:25:06 I was very happy.
00:25:08 I made the film in a different mood.
00:25:10 Sometimes, what happens is, the mood in which we're making the film,
00:25:14 I often feel, I always say, "Look at my set, come here."
00:25:20 It's a picnic.
00:25:21 There's no tension.
00:25:22 And people are very happy.
00:25:25 And they work very peacefully.
00:25:27 So, in Welcome, Gaffar was a very big producer of Feroz's father.
00:25:34 When he came and saw that there was Feroz Khan, Nana, Anil, Akshay, Katrina, Malika,
00:25:43 and there were two actors.
00:25:45 And they were sitting and they were having a great time.
00:25:48 They were laughing.
00:25:49 They were chatting.
00:25:50 So, I told him, "Anil, this atmosphere."
00:25:54 I saw it on Manmohan Desai's set years ago.
00:25:57 And today, it's here.
00:25:59 So, I was very happy.
00:26:01 I said, "Okay, he's so senior. We respect him so much."
00:26:04 Gaffar brother.
00:26:05 Gaffar brother has worked a lot with Manmohan Desai.
00:26:07 I've been a big fan of Manmohan Desai.
00:26:09 I wrote a film for him.
00:26:11 Diwan-e-Mastana.
00:26:13 So, I was very happy.
00:26:15 And I said, "What's the matter?"
00:26:16 He said, "There's no tension."
00:26:18 I forgot to see it at the time.
00:26:20 I go there, there's a lot of tension.
00:26:22 Even if there are one or two actors, there's a strange atmosphere.
00:26:25 So, I think making a film in that atmosphere.
00:26:27 So, I try that when the film is released,
00:26:30 even after 10, 15, 20, 25 years,
00:26:32 when people associated with it have to talk about the film,
00:26:35 or when they talk about it,
00:26:36 they smile on their faces and say, "It was a very good journey."
00:26:39 I think the journey of Welcome Back,
00:26:42 it was not as good as the first film.
00:26:46 And that was very important for, at least for me.
00:26:50 People like me, who are very happy,
00:26:53 and people who work in a very good mood,
00:26:56 if they have a good atmosphere,
00:26:59 then we sometimes do wonders.
00:27:02 Yes.
00:27:03 Aneesh ji, I wanted to ask you something.
00:27:05 You are the person who directed No Entry.
00:27:09 You're the one who directed Welcome.
00:27:12 Yes.
00:27:13 Your directors at that time,
00:27:16 like Priyadarshan ji, David Dhawan, or whoever,
00:27:21 they are not in the running today, but Aneesh Bhasmi is.
00:27:25 No, I will tell you.
00:27:27 There are many seniors than me.
00:27:30 And they made very good films,
00:27:32 even with David.
00:27:34 I think I have written 14, 15 films for them.
00:27:37 They have made 45 films.
00:27:39 Sometimes I joke with them,
00:27:41 "What else do you have to do? Sit and enjoy."
00:27:44 But it's their hobby, making films.
00:27:46 They are still starting.
00:27:48 And Priyadarshan ji, I don't remember how many films he has made.
00:27:52 Maybe I have never made so many films in my life.
00:27:55 So they are very lucky people.
00:27:57 They have played a very long inning.
00:27:59 And even today, they are relevant.
00:28:01 It's not like people don't want to work.
00:28:03 Even today, if you say, "Priyadarshan ji is the director,
00:28:06 so the actors and the other people, they are very interested."
00:28:10 "Oh, Priyadarshan ji is doing it."
00:28:12 I think, yeah, it's true that they are not doing as much work as before.
00:28:16 And that is, I think, out of their choice.
00:28:20 It's not like they have less work.
00:28:23 It's not about less work.
00:28:25 We have seen some of their latest work,
00:28:28 and it's not been as good as their earlier work.
00:28:30 It happens.
00:28:31 Sometimes films are made according to their style,
00:28:36 sometimes they are not.
00:28:38 And there is no such formula.
00:28:40 It can happen at any time.
00:28:42 Actually, my question is, what is it about Anis Bazmi
00:28:45 that has made him survive these generations?
00:28:48 I am just, I mean, there are a couple of things.
00:28:51 I work with a lot of passion.
00:28:54 Okay.
00:28:55 I can say that the passion and the passion that I have,
00:29:00 not just me, all my people say that Anis Bazmi…
00:29:03 For example, I was shooting of Bhool Bholeya 2.
00:29:08 And we were doing the climax.
00:29:11 And I started at around 8 in the morning,
00:29:14 and I had to pack up at 8 in the night.
00:29:16 But I got so involved in the scene,
00:29:19 and the shooting was going on till the morning.
00:29:21 So when I was sitting on the chair at around 7 in the morning,
00:29:27 and I was nodding,
00:29:28 I said to someone, "Hey, come on, make tea for Tabuji.
00:29:32 Tabuji, ready."
00:29:34 So Tabuji said, "Come here, sit."
00:29:36 So he made me sit.
00:29:38 He said, "Anis bhai, what is this?
00:29:40 I saw your passion and energy at 8 in the morning,
00:29:45 and it's been 24 hours."
00:29:47 I'm still seeing the same passion.
00:29:49 So I feel that I am very happy when I am on the shoot.
00:29:52 And if you ask me what my hobby is, I don't have any hobby.
00:29:57 I don't have any friends.
00:29:59 If I have an office, I don't have any work,
00:30:02 I come here and watch films from all over the world.
00:30:05 What films in the world haven't I seen?
00:30:08 So my passion, my hobby, everything is a film.
00:30:13 So I wake up, sit, sleep, and wake up for a film.
00:30:16 And I understand that.
00:30:18 If you discuss with someone else,
00:30:20 my knowledge will be as good as a layman.
00:30:23 Whether it's politics or sports.
00:30:25 In sports, cricket, yes, I definitely love.
00:30:28 I watch it sometimes.
00:30:29 I used to watch it a lot before,
00:30:31 but because of my passion for films,
00:30:32 I can only watch the highlights of 15 minutes.
00:30:34 I can't watch the entire 20 overs.
00:30:38 So I'm like that.
00:30:40 So I'm only interested in films that are my honesty,
00:30:43 my passion, my hard work, my passion, my hobby.
00:30:48 So in that, it was the same before and it is the same today.
00:30:52 And I feel that as long as I have this,
00:30:54 I would like to live like that.
00:30:55 The day I felt that no, I have done enough,
00:30:59 and God has been very kind,
00:31:02 it's not necessary that I should always work.
00:31:04 But as much as I work,
00:31:06 I feel I have to do it with love, with happiness.
00:31:09 Do you think you have been a writer?
00:31:12 In so many films, even with David Dhawan.
00:31:15 So do you think that has helped you as a director?
00:31:18 Yes, definitely.
00:31:19 Because I feel that if you are a writer,
00:31:21 you understand the story of a film.
00:31:23 What is this?
00:31:24 How well can you present the story of a film on screen?
00:31:30 And a writer understands his character more,
00:31:33 understands the situation more, understands the expression more.
00:31:36 So I feel it is a great help.
00:31:38 If I wasn't a writer,
00:31:40 then maybe my films wouldn't have had that depth,
00:31:43 that fun, maybe that much.
00:31:45 I won't say that the writers who are not directors,
00:31:48 they are some very good directors,
00:31:51 who are basically not writers.
00:31:53 Or maybe their name doesn't come on the screen.
00:31:55 But I'm sure that when they sit in the office,
00:31:58 and there is a discussion,
00:32:00 then the writer must have a lot of suggestions.
00:32:03 So I feel that understanding the story is very important for a writer.
00:32:08 And the writers who are good,
00:32:12 they become good directors.
00:32:14 And the good directors, they are themselves good writers.
00:32:17 They are good writers.
00:32:19 You said that you were not too disappointed with Welcome Back.
00:32:24 But you didn't do the third edition.
00:32:26 No, for that reason, ma'am.
00:32:28 I was a little busy.
00:32:30 I have a very good friendship with Feroz Bhai.
00:32:33 He approached me.
00:32:35 And if I had time, I would have made something.
00:32:39 But I was doing my lot of other films.
00:32:41 I had a plan.
00:32:43 So I couldn't do it because of the lack of time.
00:32:45 So it's got nothing to do with you.
00:32:47 No, no, welcome.
00:32:49 Welcome is out of your system.
00:32:51 I hope and I wish that the Welcome 3 is a very good film and it goes on.
00:32:55 They all are my friends.
00:32:57 Whether it's the director Ahmed,
00:32:59 or Feroz Bhai, all the actors.
00:33:02 So all my good wishes are with them.
00:33:05 No entry, you are, we've been talking about it last, I think, 5 years we've been hearing.
00:33:11 Boney's been talking, you've been talking.
00:33:13 But when is it going to come out?
00:33:16 I mean, when are you going to start work?
00:33:19 I think Boneyji has said that by December or January, we will start.
00:33:23 But that he was saying before Maidan.
00:33:25 Now that Maidan has not done well, is that going to affect?
00:33:28 If there was another producer, I would have definitely had this doubt in my mind.
00:33:32 What after Maidan?
00:33:34 But I know he is a superman.
00:33:37 Boneyji.
00:33:38 Boneyji could do anything.
00:33:40 And he can shock the world.
00:33:43 We had thought like this, but what has happened?
00:33:45 So I have a very old relationship with Boneyji.
00:33:48 I think I know him from 40 years when I was assistant with Raj Kapoor.
00:33:52 I know him since then.
00:33:54 I have a very different love for him.
00:33:56 And I have a different faith in him.
00:33:58 He is such a person that he can do anything.
00:34:01 I think so.
00:34:02 And the way he has made films, it's not easy.
00:34:05 Whether it's Roop Ki Rani or Mr. India, he is a very good man.
00:34:10 And he has a very big hobby.
00:34:14 No, I have to make, no entry.
00:34:16 So I am sure that he will find a way.
00:34:19 I am with him.
00:34:20 I was always with him.
00:34:22 And I will be with him.
00:34:24 He is a friend first, then a producer.
00:34:27 And you are very confident that Maidan, the flopping of Maidan,
00:34:32 because that was a big loss.
00:34:33 So you don't think that's going to set back No Entry?
00:34:38 There is a difference, if there is a big loss.
00:34:41 And I believe that people were saying that it's a good film.
00:34:45 Very good film.
00:34:46 I liked it.
00:34:47 I heard this.
00:34:48 You didn't watch it?
00:34:49 I didn't watch it because of my shoot.
00:34:51 But it's a very good film.
00:34:53 I am definitely going to watch it.
00:34:54 So all the people I met, they praised it.
00:34:56 And I felt weird that after so much praise, a film, anyway.
00:34:59 Yes, but there is a loss.
00:35:01 And like people say, it's a big loss.
00:35:05 So maybe if there was someone else in his place, he would have broken down.
00:35:07 And would have thought, he is a fighter.
00:35:10 He is a fighter.
00:35:11 Yes, he is a fighter.
00:35:12 And I don't think.
00:35:14 You can't keep Boney down.
00:35:15 No, no, no.
00:35:16 He is not.
00:35:18 He is not made of clay.
00:35:20 There was a little bit of a misunderstanding between him and Anil over the casting.
00:35:24 I heard that.
00:35:25 Yes.
00:35:26 Exactly.
00:35:27 But you haven't talked to Anil about it?
00:35:28 I have talked to both of them.
00:35:29 See, what I am telling you, Boney ji is a very good friend of mine.
00:35:31 Anil ji is a very good friend of mine.
00:35:33 So I have worked a lot with Anil.
00:35:35 Correct.
00:35:36 And I am still going to do it.
00:35:38 So Anil ji was very much involved in the first film.
00:35:42 Not only as an actor.
00:35:44 He was there for me.
00:35:46 He would say, what do you want to do?
00:35:48 And it was his film.
00:35:51 He would say, and the truth is, he did such a beautiful work.
00:35:54 People had praised his character so much.
00:35:57 And they had enjoyed it so much.
00:35:59 So naturally, they were like, why am I not in that film?
00:36:02 But what is it, see, as far as I know these two brothers.
00:36:06 They are brothers.
00:36:07 They love each other a lot.
00:36:09 So the anger between them can last for a few days.
00:36:15 That of course.
00:36:16 They are too close to.
00:36:18 I thought that they will both deal with each other.
00:36:21 I don't want to talk to them.
00:36:23 You don't need to.
00:36:25 No.
00:36:26 Immediate.
00:36:27 I think both Anil ji and Boney ji, they don't need anybody.
00:36:32 They have to, they will meet each other.
00:36:34 They will work it out themselves.
00:36:36 But Anil ji, is this a little bit of a problem area?
00:36:42 When you are making a sequel and you don't repeat the actor from the earlier.
00:36:47 Yes, ma'am, see, the first film we made, there was Salman bhai, Anil ji, Fardin did a great job.
00:36:53 All the girls were superb.
00:36:55 So naturally, if I had the chance and I could, I would have made the film in the same way.
00:37:02 But sometimes they say, what do you want, but you can't have anything.
00:37:07 So whatever it is, but now we are making it with them.
00:37:11 And now I have made my mind that this is the best for this film.
00:37:15 As a maker, I have to believe this.
00:37:18 And as far as Varun is concerned, Varun does a great job.
00:37:22 I have also seen Diljeet's film.
00:37:25 I think he is a great actor.
00:37:27 And Arjun is there, there are other people, 10 girls.
00:37:32 And the way this film is written beautifully.
00:37:35 You have written that too?
00:37:37 Yes, I have written it.
00:37:38 And there are a couple of people with me.
00:37:40 So I have written the film.
00:37:42 And the kind of film it is, I think we will enjoy that film and people will enjoy it.
00:37:48 It will be as entertaining as the earlier No Entry.
00:37:53 I think it will be a little more.
00:37:57 Because if you write a film again after 10-15-20 years and it is the same,
00:38:01 then what is the use?
00:38:03 I think it has been written better than that.
00:38:06 People think that if there are no such people, then what will happen?
00:38:11 So this is your job, that whatever you have, how to make use of it,
00:38:17 what can you do best.
00:38:19 Anil ji, I have heard Boney Kapoor say that he thought that this required younger actors,
00:38:27 different fresher actors.
00:38:29 Therefore the subject, the way it has turned out, he thought Diljeet was correct
00:38:34 and Arjun and Varun have a good chemistry etc.
00:38:37 It is very good.
00:38:38 But was this idea his or yours?
00:38:41 Because you are the director.
00:38:43 I am the director of the film.
00:38:45 The film was being made the same way as before but it could not be done for any reason.
00:38:49 So naturally we have to think something.
00:38:51 That we have worked so hard on that film and I feel it is a great effect.
00:38:55 It should not be wasted.
00:38:57 So I was always with Boney ji.
00:39:01 Boney ji asked me to do something like this.
00:39:03 I said yes.
00:39:04 He said, ok, let's not do this.
00:39:06 So I am basically a producer's director.
00:39:09 I face a lot of trouble if the producer has a loss or something.
00:39:13 So I stay with him as far as my efforts can go.
00:39:16 So it's suggestion came from him and you were fine with it?
00:39:20 Yeah, because I am a writer.
00:39:23 So if a film is for something and I have to make it work, I can make it work.
00:39:29 Is Arjun in the film because he is the producer's son or because he fits the role?
00:39:33 No, no, see what it is.
00:39:34 I have worked with Arjun.
00:39:36 He did a very beautiful work of my film, Mubar.
00:39:40 He is a good actor.
00:39:42 Many times it happens that some films work and some don't.
00:39:45 When I worked with Fardeen, people asked me, why Fardeen?
00:39:50 I said, why not Fardeen?
00:39:52 Oh, he is such a great actor.
00:39:54 So the difference is that why and why not.
00:39:58 So people might think, why Arjun?
00:40:01 And I feel, why not Arjun?
00:40:03 Ok, ok.
00:40:05 So you are being very diplomatic.
00:40:07 Not diplomatic.
00:40:08 You are not saying he is there because he is the producer's son.
00:40:10 He did a very good job.
00:40:12 He will do a good job in some of his films.
00:40:14 And the kind of character he is, you will see.
00:40:16 He will do a good job.
00:40:18 People will like it.
00:40:20 Ok, ok.
00:40:21 If you say so.
00:40:22 Yeah.
00:40:23 I said the same thing for Fardeen.
00:40:25 He said, but it is a comedy.
00:40:27 I said, he will do a great comedy.
00:40:29 Because he is, what he is thinking about you and how to do it.
00:40:33 It is magic.
00:40:35 I feel that when we are on set, when the actors are dressed up,
00:40:43 and something comes up, a person starts thinking.
00:40:46 And my improvisation works well.
00:40:49 I noticed one thing about your films.
00:40:51 Even though No Entry, a subject like that had something to do with extramarital affairs, etc.
00:40:57 You are never vulgar.
00:40:59 Your films are just never vulgar.
00:41:02 I believe that I always want to make a family film.
00:41:06 Because when I watch films, I want to have a wife, I want to have daughters.
00:41:12 I have three daughters, Mashallah.
00:41:14 18, 25, 30 years old.
00:41:16 So I have daughters, I have their children, I have sisters.
00:41:20 So I shouldn't feel awkward.
00:41:22 And I feel that without that, I can survive and do it well.
00:41:28 I feel that the shortcuts, the double meaning dialogues,
00:41:32 you need to use them when you haven't done much else.
00:41:37 I am a good writer.
00:41:39 I can think, let's say this dialogue.
00:41:42 So in the first version, there was an extramarital affair.
00:41:45 The girl was a prostitute.
00:41:47 What's your name?
00:41:49 Bishop Vibhashya.
00:41:51 But you see, in the whole film, even her,
00:41:54 she doesn't have any vulgarity.
00:41:57 In the last, I made a scene on purpose, it was small.
00:42:00 I think I could have avoided that scene.
00:42:02 My story wouldn't have mattered.
00:42:04 But I made a small scene where the girl's husband is in a coma.
00:42:10 And the girl needs every day, 20, 25, 1000 rupees to treat her husband.
00:42:17 So all the fun you've seen with that character,
00:42:20 suddenly you feel that he's such a great actor, such a great character.
00:42:24 So in making the character great and making him bad,
00:42:30 I think it is a one scene job.
00:42:32 How do you do it?
00:42:34 So in the film, that scene, I did it only because
00:42:37 I felt that no, she could have been a good girl. Why?
00:42:42 And everything else in the film is good, so I have to do this in the last.
00:42:47 Okay.
00:42:48 So it is actually a director's medium,
00:42:51 but I think the writer is very important.
00:42:54 And if he's the same, then nothing like it.
00:42:56 Writer is the most important.
00:42:58 Now tell me, every person who is associated with a film,
00:43:01 whether it's a director, an actor, a music director, a lyric writer,
00:43:06 anybody I mean, they have some idea of what we are going to do.
00:43:11 The scene with the actor, it's a different thing to fix that.
00:43:16 I do this, I do that.
00:43:18 The director thinks, DOP knows this shot.
00:43:23 Everybody knows.
00:43:24 There is only one writer, who knows nothing,
00:43:27 there is a blank paper, and you have to fill it.
00:43:30 And that blank paper, you are alone, and it's a lot of isolation.
00:43:34 It's not like you are sitting in a meeting and writing.
00:43:36 You have to sit in one place, forgetting the whole world.
00:43:39 And when you sit in that isolation and see that paper,
00:43:43 then you believe me, that paper looks more dangerous than Manjulika.
00:43:48 (Laughs)
00:43:49 Good. That's true. Yes.
00:43:52 Does this entire writing, etc, that you have,
00:43:57 can it be traced back a little to your father, because he was a poet?
00:44:00 I think that whatever I have done today,
00:44:05 there is a lot of contribution of two people.
00:44:08 My father, who was a great poet,
00:44:10 a great poet, a good poet, Abdul Hameed Nairang Basmi.
00:44:14 And he, I spent my entire childhood with him.
00:44:18 He was very fond of poetry, so I used to go with him.
00:44:21 After that, all his friends, all his friends,
00:44:24 they were all poets.
00:44:26 And they used to sit together, and recite poems to each other.
00:44:29 So I used to stay with them till 2-3 in the night.
00:44:32 In Gujarat?
00:44:33 No, I was in Bombay.
00:44:34 I was born in Gujarat, I must have been there for 6-8-10 months,
00:44:38 when my father came here.
00:44:40 So I spent my entire life here in Bombay.
00:44:43 And after coming here, he used to go to poetry classes.
00:44:47 I used to stay with him till 2-3 in the night.
00:44:50 I used to get him the cigarettes he needed,
00:44:52 like he needed 5.
00:44:53 So I think that environment,
00:44:56 I spent my childhood and youth in that environment.
00:44:58 The interest I developed in that,
00:45:01 so at a very young age, I had read all the Diwan.
00:45:04 Whether it was Ghalib Sahib or any other,
00:45:06 I had read a lot of books.
00:45:08 So I couldn't study much,
00:45:11 but I read so much that now,
00:45:13 when educated people sit with me,
00:45:15 they say, "Raneej has read a lot."
00:45:17 So I think that's very important,
00:45:19 that I have read a lot,
00:45:21 and I have sat with a lot of great people.
00:45:24 They say that sitting with a person who is intelligent,
00:45:27 who is a master,
00:45:28 sitting with him for a day,
00:45:30 is equivalent to reading books for a year.
00:45:32 So I spent 3-4 years of my life with Raj Kapoor.
00:45:36 So the other person is Raj Sahib.
00:45:38 The passion and passion for film lines,
00:45:41 I got that from him.
00:45:43 And the writing,
00:45:45 the delicacy of writing,
00:45:47 I got that from my father.
00:45:49 So I think,
00:45:50 whatever I can do for a little time,
00:45:53 for that, both of them are very big,
00:45:56 I mean, they are responsible for me.
00:45:57 Actually, I was going to ask you about Raj Kapoor.
00:46:01 Since you worked with him,
00:46:02 will you just sum him up for me in a few sentences?
00:46:06 What did you learn from him?
00:46:07 What kind of person was he to work with?
00:46:09 Tell me something we don't know about him.
00:46:13 I think that,
00:46:15 so much has been said about him,
00:46:17 one small thing can be said,
00:46:19 that he was great.
00:46:21 In everything.
00:46:23 I mean,
00:46:25 in making films,
00:46:27 his passion,
00:46:28 the way he made films,
00:46:30 and,
00:46:31 maybe few people don't know this,
00:46:33 that his image in films,
00:46:36 that yes, yes,
00:46:37 no, he didn't have that image in shooting,
00:46:39 what we have seen,
00:46:40 our souls were shivering with him.
00:46:42 Not just mine,
00:46:43 all of us assistants were shivering.
00:46:45 Because,
00:46:46 if something bad is happening in the scene,
00:46:50 something is happening,
00:46:51 he used to say,
00:46:52 by the way, there are 300 people at the shooting,
00:46:54 and to ruin this work,
00:46:56 only one person is needed.
00:46:58 So, if that one person is seen,
00:47:00 then there is no goodness.
00:47:02 So, that was his image.
00:47:04 And,
00:47:05 we were very scared,
00:47:07 and we were very suspect.
00:47:09 Because,
00:47:10 for many months and years,
00:47:12 we used to think,
00:47:14 that we are sitting with him,
00:47:15 is he dreaming?
00:47:16 Suddenly he is seeing a long dream,
00:47:17 and he wakes up,
00:47:18 or not, or something.
00:47:19 It was a dream to work with him.
00:47:20 What did you learn from him?
00:47:22 Everything.
00:47:23 Everything.
00:47:24 Mainly,
00:47:25 where to keep the camera,
00:47:27 forget that,
00:47:28 passion.
00:47:29 The passion with which he used to make films,
00:47:32 the passion with which he used to make,
00:47:34 how hard working he was,
00:47:36 he used to sit like this,
00:47:38 and do this,
00:47:39 and do that.
00:47:40 In the cottage.
00:47:41 But, what used to go on in his mind,
00:47:43 so, all those things,
00:47:45 even I,
00:47:46 at the shooting,
00:47:47 I don't speak with a lot of passion,
00:47:49 that I am doing this,
00:47:50 not like that.
00:47:51 But, I have to do this.
00:47:52 But,
00:47:53 I don't want to show off,
00:47:55 but I know what I am doing.
00:47:57 You know, you have worked with some unique people,
00:47:59 and with some regular people.
00:48:00 Absolutely.
00:48:01 So,
00:48:02 Raj Kapoor,
00:48:03 would you also say that you learnt,
00:48:05 the music sense that he had?
00:48:06 Oh, my God!
00:48:07 He had such a great music sense.
00:48:09 Such a good music sense.
00:48:11 Because you also have a good music sense.
00:48:13 I think that,
00:48:14 with him,
00:48:16 the 3-4 years that I spent in life,
00:48:20 it helped me a lot.
00:48:22 It helped me a lot.
00:48:23 Maybe, I wouldn't have been able to do that much.
00:48:26 I will be very honest.
00:48:28 And, did you also acquire this little sense of music from him?
00:48:31 100%.
00:48:32 That the importance of music in a film.
00:48:34 Because, in my films,
00:48:35 the songs have always been very good.
00:48:36 Whether it was 'Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha',
00:48:38 whether it was 'Welcome',
00:48:39 whether it was 'Neon Tree',
00:48:40 whether it was 'Sing is King'.
00:48:43 So,
00:48:44 whenever I have done a very passionate work,
00:48:47 whenever I sit in front of the producer,
00:48:48 the music has always been good.
00:48:50 I always tell the music director,
00:48:51 that I am not a taan singer,
00:48:52 but I am a taan singer.
00:48:54 If I don't like the song,
00:48:56 then,
00:48:57 it won't work.
00:48:58 Correct.
00:48:59 Correct. Yes.
00:49:00 So, I think,
00:49:01 and, see,
00:49:02 I have taken many songs,
00:49:03 and I have rejected many.
00:49:05 I think,
00:49:06 maybe,
00:49:07 leaving 1-2 songs,
00:49:09 the ones that I didn't like,
00:49:10 the songs didn't work.
00:49:11 So, I think,
00:49:12 I am on the right track.
00:49:13 Right.
00:49:14 Another person,
00:49:15 unique person you have worked with is,
00:49:17 Firoz Khan.
00:49:18 Very few directors today,
00:49:20 who have worked with him.
00:49:22 What was Firoz like?
00:49:24 I had a very good friendship with him.
00:49:26 He was such a sweetheart.
00:49:27 I got along very well with him.
00:49:29 As a director.
00:49:30 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:49:31 He was so innocent.
00:49:32 How did you meet him?
00:49:33 He called me,
00:49:35 because he saw,
00:49:36 'No Entry'.
00:49:38 And he loved the film.
00:49:39 Oh, Fardeen.
00:49:40 Because of Fardeen,
00:49:41 he was so lucky,
00:49:42 that he saw my film.
00:49:43 So,
00:49:44 he liked Fardeen's work,
00:49:46 and the whole film.
00:49:47 So, he called me for a dinner,
00:49:48 and,
00:49:49 I went,
00:49:50 I was very happy.
00:49:51 I was always a fan of him.
00:49:53 I have seen so many of his films,
00:49:55 I remember his dialogues.
00:49:56 And he was shocked.
00:49:57 That Anees,
00:49:58 you remember all this?
00:49:59 So, naturally,
00:50:00 he felt,
00:50:01 that how much,
00:50:02 so I said,
00:50:03 Sir, you have done such a beautiful work,
00:50:05 and I am a fan of yours.
00:50:06 So, we had a very good,
00:50:07 friendly environment.
00:50:09 And when I was doing this film,
00:50:11 I felt that,
00:50:12 Nana ji and Anil ji,
00:50:14 they are so naughty.
00:50:15 His father.
00:50:16 Uday Shetty and Majnu bhai,
00:50:18 who can be their boss,
00:50:20 except for Khan sahib.
00:50:21 But,
00:50:22 Khan sahib,
00:50:23 was not working at that time.
00:50:25 I believe,
00:50:26 that he had a little awareness,
00:50:27 about his illness.
00:50:28 And he had not told me anything.
00:50:30 He was making excuses.
00:50:32 No, no, this, no, this, no, no.
00:50:33 And I was behind him,
00:50:34 that no sir,
00:50:35 you have to do this,
00:50:36 you have to do this,
00:50:37 you have to do this.
00:50:38 And somehow,
00:50:39 I was able to convince him,
00:50:40 I am so happy.
00:50:41 And he did the work,
00:50:43 and,
00:50:44 see,
00:50:45 that role was not very big.
00:50:46 There were four scenes,
00:50:47 in the film,
00:50:48 and climax.
00:50:49 But,
00:50:50 that role was big,
00:50:51 because,
00:50:52 the persona,
00:50:53 that he had,
00:50:54 if,
00:50:55 if,
00:50:56 if he was not there,
00:50:57 I would not have been able to do the music,
00:50:58 which was played from the plane.
00:50:59 So, I did the background.
00:51:00 Okay,
00:51:01 when we did the background,
00:51:02 there was a villain's entry,
00:51:03 the music was playing.
00:51:04 Tata, tata, tata, tata, tata, tata.
00:51:06 Then I said,
00:51:07 why so much noise and noise?
00:51:09 His biggest song is,
00:51:11 Laila mein Laila.
00:51:12 So, I said,
00:51:13 remove everything.
00:51:14 As soon as Khan sahib's photo comes,
00:51:16 the same music plays in the background.
00:51:17 Tata, tata, tata, tata, tata, tata.
00:51:19 I have seen so much noise,
00:51:21 in the theatre.
00:51:22 He had a,
00:51:23 a lot of fan following.
00:51:25 Yes.
00:51:26 His personality was different.
00:51:27 Absolutely.
00:51:28 And,
00:51:29 that role was big,
00:51:30 because he had done it.
00:51:31 And,
00:51:32 it was a great memory,
00:51:33 working with him.
00:51:34 I had a very good time with him.
00:51:36 And,
00:51:37 not only me,
00:51:38 I think all the actors.
00:51:39 You never,
00:51:40 you never felt that he was sick?
00:51:42 There is greatness,
00:51:43 I have seen such people,
00:51:44 I did not let it be felt.
00:51:45 It is not that,
00:51:46 he is not in pain.
00:51:47 But,
00:51:48 to keep his pain to himself,
00:51:50 and on shooting,
00:51:51 no one should know.
00:51:52 He had cancer.
00:51:53 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:51:55 And, after that,
00:51:56 he went to America.
00:51:58 Yeah.
00:51:59 For treatment.
00:52:00 And, he went,
00:52:01 I mean, he stayed there.
00:52:02 He stayed out of the limelight,
00:52:03 after that.
00:52:04 And, see,
00:52:05 his interest too,
00:52:06 you see,
00:52:07 I was shooting,
00:52:08 in Australia.
00:52:09 And, I got a call of,
00:52:10 Khan sahib.
00:52:11 He was dubbing here,
00:52:12 for,
00:52:13 Welcome.
00:52:14 In that,
00:52:15 in the scene,
00:52:16 I had cut a dialogue.
00:52:17 So, he called me,
00:52:18 Aneesh,
00:52:19 what is this?
00:52:20 I said,
00:52:21 Sir, what happened?
00:52:22 Where is my,
00:52:23 that dialogue?
00:52:24 It is a fantastic dialogue.
00:52:25 Who cut it?
00:52:26 So, I said,
00:52:27 Sir,
00:52:28 I cut it.
00:52:29 I said,
00:52:30 what?
00:52:31 That dialogue was cut?
00:52:32 What did the editor do?
00:52:33 Do one thing,
00:52:34 Sir,
00:52:35 that will happen,
00:52:36 you write it.
00:52:37 So,
00:52:38 see,
00:52:39 so much interest.
00:52:40 Yeah.
00:52:41 Right.
00:52:42 So,
00:52:43 so much interest.
00:52:44 Yeah.
00:52:45 Another,
00:52:46 slightly crazy person,
00:52:47 Firoz was not crazy,
00:52:48 but,
00:52:49 Nana Patikar?
00:52:50 He is a darling.
00:52:51 He is such a nice person.
00:52:52 He is so easy to work with him.

00:55:14 Salman comes when he wants.
00:55:15 Salman comes when he wants.
00:55:16 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:55:17 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:55:18 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:55:19 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:55:20 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:55:21 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:55:22 And when he comes, then he is there.

00:56:15 And when he comes, then he is there.
00:56:41 What would you like to tell me about what is Anil Kapoor's raaz for survival for so long?
00:56:48 He loves himself too much.
00:56:50 He loves himself.
00:56:51 He loves himself too much.
00:56:53 And the person who loves himself too much, he will see how he is looking, what he is doing, and he is very disciplined.
00:57:01 There are many people who love themselves too much, but they are not disciplined.
00:57:04 They think that I have to get up and I have to go to the gym, but I have to drink two packs at night.
00:57:10 I drink two packs and I don't open my eyes.
00:57:12 I say, "No, I will go from tomorrow."
00:57:13 He never comes tomorrow.
00:57:14 You have to do what you have to do from today.
00:57:16 And Anil ji will not do it from today.
00:57:19 He will do it from now.
00:57:20 So, I have seen so much difference.
00:57:22 He doesn't sleep until 12,000 steps are done on the watch.
00:57:26 He is like that.
00:57:27 And all the good ones who look good today and all the people who have done so much work today,
00:57:33 they want to work with them.
00:57:36 So, I am making a film now.
00:57:38 I said, "No, you have to do it."
00:57:39 I am not able to see anyone else in this role.
00:57:41 So, this is a big thing.
00:57:42 That after so many years, after doing so much work, people want to work with you.
00:57:46 You are so fortunate actually.
00:57:48 So, that hobby of theirs, the hard work they do, the diet they take care of, the exercise they do,
00:57:56 the films they refuse to do, that no, I will not do this, I will not do this, I will do this.
00:58:00 So, all those things are not one thing.
00:58:03 Yes.
00:58:04 What about Akshay and Salman?
00:58:06 Tell me about both of them.
00:58:07 Akshay ji is a very punctual person.
00:58:12 We have a little tension in working with him.
00:58:15 Because if he is speaking at 7, then he will be there at 7.
00:58:18 Okay.
00:58:19 And we do not have the habit of waking up at 7 or 6.
00:58:24 So, we have to work hard.
00:58:26 That no, we are doing this film, now we will have to become a bird, a bird or a pigeon and wake up early.
00:58:32 So, that is it.
00:58:33 It is a big thing, I feel very good that they come on time and finish the work.
00:58:38 Sometimes we are more relaxed with Salman bhai.
00:58:42 Salman bhai will come at 12, he will eat food, but he will stay till night.
00:58:47 I have done schooling with Rashid Kapoor, where we used to work 24 hours.
00:58:52 We used to work at night.
00:58:54 So, I feel very good that if the shooting is from 2 in the afternoon,
00:59:00 but now every actor is different, according to that we have to work,
00:59:05 that let's do this and it is fun.
00:59:08 It is not like that if you break your routine and work, it is a lot of fun.
00:59:12 So, the fun I get in shooting with Akshay ji,
00:59:15 I have to believe that I had fun with Salman bhai.
00:59:19 Did you ever talk to Salman about not doing Noor and Tree sequel?
00:59:23 No, because I have a lot of friendship with him.
00:59:26 We have so much love and friendship that if he has to tell me something, he tells me.
00:59:35 If he doesn't tell me, I never tell him.
00:59:37 It makes no difference to him.
00:59:38 No, no, no. I met him a week ago.
00:59:41 So, whether we do the film or not, it doesn't make a difference to our relationship.
00:59:47 You were saying in between that you are making a film with Anil,
00:59:52 Madhuri I Want Her to be a part of the film.
00:59:56 How many films are you going to make?
00:59:58 I want to make 10-15 films.
01:00:00 Greedy.
01:00:02 Because I have done so much work,
01:00:06 I have such a beautiful story, what should I do?
01:00:08 I sit here in the office for 24 hours.
01:00:10 As I told you before, I don't have any friends, no interest,
01:00:14 I don't want to come anywhere, I don't want to go anywhere,
01:00:16 I hardly go to the party.
01:00:17 If there is a need, if there is someone important,
01:00:20 then I, I get to go out, it's a big exercise.
01:00:23 And especially getting ready, sitting,
01:00:25 Anyway, I get a lot of time, I keep writing, I keep working,
01:00:29 I have so many good, great ideas,
01:00:31 I don't feel that I should make this, I should make this, I should make this.
01:00:35 So, it's just a hobby, understand.
01:00:37 You don't have any one favourite genre you like to make?
01:00:41 My favourite genre is the genre I am making the film in.
01:00:45 Because I personally feel that I have made a love story,
01:00:49 love was bound to happen,
01:00:51 I remember that I met Yashji and when Yashji saw the film,
01:00:54 he was very happy.
01:00:55 He said, "Son, listen to me, Anis,
01:00:58 it's very good that you understand love,
01:01:02 and you make a love story.
01:01:04 So, such a person's words and praise,
01:01:09 which is perhaps, such a beautiful film,
01:01:11 which a person has made,
01:01:13 I was very happy at that time.
01:01:15 So, I thought, "Son, but I had written the next film, Satyan Thiller.
01:01:19 So, I made Diwan Ki.
01:01:21 And Abbas Mastan, my good friend,
01:01:24 when he saw the film, other people,
01:01:26 Abbas Bhai said, "Anis, it doesn't seem like
01:01:28 any person has worked in this genre for the first time."
01:01:31 So, I was very happy, because that was coming from Abbas Mastan.
01:01:34 Right.
01:01:35 Who I consider to be such a good film maker.
01:01:37 That's right.
01:01:38 Then, everyone said, "Make this only."
01:01:41 Now, there were 10-12 producers who wanted to sign me,
01:01:45 that now you will make this only, Sathya Mithiller.
01:01:48 But at that time, I had written, "No Entry."
01:01:50 "No Entry."
01:01:51 So, now I have made your Sathya Mithiller.
01:01:54 So, I like it, that genre is not important.
01:01:58 Whatever genre you are making, I think I can make it.
01:02:02 Whether it's comedy, whether it's action,
01:02:05 whether it's Sathya Mithiller, whether it's horror.
01:02:08 I can make it.
01:02:09 What is that one thing you want every film of yours to have?
01:02:14 Have?
01:02:15 One thing that is very important in your film.
01:02:19 I think there are two things.
01:02:21 One, everyone should be very happy while making it.
01:02:25 They should enjoy it a lot.
01:02:26 They should remember it, and the film should run.
01:02:29 These two things are very important.
01:02:30 The film should run.
01:02:31 It should run, absolutely.
01:02:33 So, that means you feel the film should be entertaining.
01:02:36 100%. And if it's not entertaining, then why are we making films?
01:02:40 I won't say that...
01:02:41 Will I say that your film must be entertaining?
01:02:44 100%, ma'am.
01:02:45 I won't say that I don't like different types of cinema.
01:02:48 I have seen many films, but yes, I enjoy them less.
01:02:51 I enjoy them less.
01:02:52 When I make a film larger than life,
01:02:55 there are all kinds of dramas in it.
01:02:57 I think, a film in which everything is there,
01:03:00 there is emotion, there is comedy, there is action,
01:03:04 there is suspense, there is drama.
01:03:06 Everything should be there.
01:03:08 So, I like it.
01:03:10 Then you like it.
01:03:11 If you had to choose between No Entry, Welcome, Bhool Bhulaiya 2,
01:03:16 these were your three really big ones.
01:03:18 Which one would you choose?
01:03:20 Sengir King was a huge hit.
01:03:24 Anyway, these are three films.
01:03:26 Look, they came at different times.
01:03:28 And in my life, these three films left a deep mark.
01:03:33 No Entry, that film,
01:03:36 it had made me enter the film line.
01:03:39 People said, yes, Haneez has arrived as a director.
01:03:43 He has done a fab job.
01:03:45 And the kind of comedy he has shot and made,
01:03:49 people had seen very little of it before that.
01:03:52 And it had received a lot of praise.
01:03:54 It had received a lot of love from people.
01:03:56 Welcome, to this day, is still a big hit.
01:04:00 Welcome, to this day, its memes are still going on.
01:04:04 I was in a different mood.
01:04:06 I was very happy at that time.
01:04:08 And I was writing a film, making something.
01:04:10 And there was some magic happening on set.
01:04:12 It was not, I would say, a blind escape.
01:04:15 There were things in my mind,
01:04:17 let's do this, let's do that.
01:04:19 Sometimes magic happens.
01:04:21 A lot of time, ma'am, with me.
01:04:23 I remember everything,
01:04:26 and I have to do this, I have to do that.
01:04:29 I don't make shot division also.
01:04:31 I don't keep a scene in my hand.
01:04:34 I read the scene once, I know what I have to do.
01:04:37 And I don't like to make shot divisions.
01:04:39 I will take this shot first, then this, then this.
01:04:41 I see how people are performing.
01:04:44 My actors.
01:04:45 People want to see people.
01:04:47 They don't want to come here.
01:04:48 So it happens organically.
01:04:50 What I feel at that time.
01:04:52 And what I feel at that time,
01:04:54 has never happened before.
01:04:55 I have never planned.
01:04:57 So, there is a performance,
01:05:00 there is a set.
01:05:02 So, I start doing it.
01:05:04 So I feel it's magic.
01:05:06 People liked that film a lot.
01:05:09 And a lot of people loved it.
01:05:12 And my life changed from there.
01:05:14 After that, the film that was shot in Pandamic,
01:05:17 in our Pandemic,
01:05:18 our Bhool Bhoolai,
01:05:20 when no film was going on,
01:05:22 and before that, one or two films didn't go well.
01:05:24 If my film doesn't go well,
01:05:25 people abuse me a lot.
01:05:27 Generally,
01:05:28 people don't get abused that much.
01:05:31 I don't know.
01:05:33 Because there is a lot of hope.
01:05:34 There is a lot of hope.
01:05:36 So I was scared.
01:05:37 That's why I am telling you,
01:05:38 that film should go on.
01:05:39 Because I don't like people abusing me.
01:05:42 But yes.
01:05:43 So, before that film,
01:05:46 it didn't go well.
01:05:48 So, I was a little worried also.
01:05:50 Because I have always done only one film.
01:05:52 I do one film.
01:05:53 So, I burn all my boats and come to the war.
01:05:56 So, now it is important to win that war.
01:05:59 If you lose, then sit.
01:06:01 It is so good that people have this feeling,
01:06:04 after doing my work for so many years,
01:06:06 that if a film is shot in 1920s,
01:06:08 then they know that no,
01:06:09 Anees knows his job.
01:06:11 Okay, it happens in 1920s.
01:06:13 Right.
01:06:14 Virat Kohli and Bhagat Sachin,
01:06:17 if they get out on a small run,
01:06:20 then it is not that they don't know.
01:06:21 They don't know the game.
01:06:22 So, I have got this kind of love,
01:06:24 this kind of reputation,
01:06:25 or this kind of love from people.
01:06:27 Like Dhoni today.
01:06:28 So, he is a little…
01:06:29 When he comes, he comes,
01:06:31 he is number 7,
01:06:32 he will come, but he will still 6, 7.
01:06:34 And he is a very lucky guy.
01:06:36 He just stays there till the end.
01:06:37 He is a very lucky guy.
01:06:38 In the last match,
01:06:39 he scored 20 runs in 4 balls.
01:06:41 And the team that lost,
01:06:43 they lost by exactly 20 runs.
01:06:45 They lost by exactly 20 runs.
01:06:46 Exactly.
01:06:47 He is very lucky.
01:06:48 That's true.
01:06:49 And he is also a human being.
01:06:51 So, this film,
01:06:52 he has done this,
01:06:54 that no, brother,
01:06:55 Anees has given a hope in the film line,
01:06:57 that no, this film can run.
01:06:58 So, all three films are very important for me.
01:07:01 And to do it 1, 2, 3,
01:07:03 I think it will be not fair,
01:07:05 and not possible.
01:07:06 Okay.
01:07:07 We are…
01:07:08 Did you have a problem shooting
01:07:10 Bhool Bhool Naya 2
01:07:11 because of the pandemic?
01:07:13 A lot.
01:07:14 A lot.
01:07:15 Because we were shooting in Lucknow.
01:07:17 And we had a shooting for 10-12 days.
01:07:20 The work was not completed.
01:07:21 And we were told that we have to go.
01:07:23 So, we came here.
01:07:24 Now, I went to my bungalow,
01:07:28 in my Lonavala.
01:07:30 I said, sir,
01:07:31 the shooting that you have called,
01:07:32 I went there.
01:07:34 6, 8, 10 months,
01:07:36 there was no call, nothing.
01:07:37 Correct.
01:07:38 After that, I got a call,
01:07:39 that we are planning something.
01:07:41 I said, do it.
01:07:42 It was a very strange environment.
01:07:43 Anyway,
01:07:44 so, we set up here,
01:07:45 started shooting.
01:07:46 We found out that someone from that,
01:07:48 got COVID.
01:07:49 Then, we stopped.
01:07:50 Then, we did something.
01:07:51 Then, we stopped.
01:07:52 So, we did it with a lot of difficulty.
01:07:54 And then, I wanted to go out,
01:07:55 to Lucknow.
01:07:56 So, we found out that we cannot go to Lucknow.
01:07:58 Then, I had to go somewhere else.
01:08:00 So, in that film,
01:08:01 I could not go outdoors.
01:08:03 I did some in Lucknow in the beginning,
01:08:05 did some in Jaipur.
01:08:06 And I did shooting in Kullu, Manali for 3 days.
01:08:09 After that,
01:08:10 the whole film was shot here.
01:08:11 There is a studio, Chitrakoot.
01:08:13 We set it up and then,
01:08:14 the whole film.
01:08:15 In that.
01:08:16 In that.
01:08:17 Your Lucknow, this, that,
01:08:18 everything.
01:08:19 Everything.
01:08:20 Not only Lucknow.
01:08:21 Lucknow, Jaipur, Kullu, Manali, Rajasthan.
01:08:26 Okay.
01:08:27 Everything.
01:08:28 Everything.
01:08:29 Okay.
01:08:30 So, that was a difficult film to make because of the pandemic.
01:08:34 100%.
01:08:35 It was very difficult to shoot that film.
01:08:36 Like,
01:08:37 you had planned something.
01:08:38 That's right.
01:08:39 But, I feel that,
01:08:40 the compromise,
01:08:41 sometimes,
01:08:42 the film you make,
01:08:44 there is a word attached to it.
01:08:46 You have to do it, somehow.
01:08:48 It's just that,
01:08:49 it shouldn't be visible on the screen.
01:08:51 Hmm.
01:08:52 People shouldn't be able to pinpoint,
01:08:53 what have they done?
01:08:54 So, it should flow in the flow,
01:08:56 so that no one knows.
01:08:57 That was the only attempt.
01:08:58 So that people don't know that we couldn't go to Lucknow.
01:09:01 So that people don't know that we couldn't go to Kullu, Manali.
01:09:04 And, no one knew.
01:09:05 And, no one knew.
01:09:06 We are very fortunate.
01:09:07 And, we are very lucky.
01:09:09 And, we have planned, I think, very well.
01:09:11 What about your BB3?
01:09:13 My last question.
01:09:15 BB3,
01:09:16 can you tell me,
01:09:17 where all are you shooting?
01:09:19 Mostly, we are shooting in Mumbai.
01:09:22 Okay.
01:09:23 Apart from that, Calcutta.
01:09:24 Apart from that, Gwalior.
01:09:26 Apart from that,
01:09:28 there is one outdoor location.
01:09:31 We are selecting that.
01:09:32 Outdoor location?
01:09:33 Maybe foreign, maybe India.
01:09:35 Okay.
01:09:36 That's for a song or something.
01:09:37 Okay.
01:09:38 And, that's not yet shot?
01:09:39 No.
01:09:40 Okay.
01:09:41 Give me just one thing about BB3,
01:09:45 we can all look forward to,
01:09:46 which you haven't told anyone yet.
01:09:48 I haven't told anyone.
01:09:50 Because that is your Diwali release,
01:09:51 and that's what we are all waiting for.
01:09:53 No, no.
01:09:54 A lot of people are going to get excited.
01:09:56 And, I haven't told because,
01:09:57 that excitement should remain the same.
01:09:59 It should remain.
01:10:00 But, tell me one thing.
01:10:02 Shock.
01:10:03 People will get shocked.
01:10:04 Shock?
01:10:05 Yes.
01:10:06 People will get shocked.
01:10:07 And, not once,
01:10:08 but, it will take 2-3 times,
01:10:09 that what has happened?
01:10:10 What has happened?
01:10:11 And, I can't tell that,
01:10:13 otherwise, it will be forgotten.
01:10:14 Naturally, you cannot.
01:10:15 I will tell you this,
01:10:16 that even among the 250 people,
01:10:18 who are connected in our film,
01:10:19 I think,
01:10:20 250-250 people don't know about it.
01:10:22 We haven't told them either.
01:10:24 That much?
01:10:25 Yeah.
01:10:26 Because, I think,
01:10:27 those 10-12 people,
01:10:28 who should know,
01:10:29 they know about it,
01:10:30 that's why we are doing it.
01:10:32 So, you are making it with great,
01:10:34 in confidentiality.
01:10:35 Yes, that should be done,
01:10:36 because you are working so hard for something.
01:10:38 Now, you tell me,
01:10:39 that in the first film,
01:10:40 in that,
01:10:41 Bhabhi is playing,
01:10:42 our Tabu, simple.
01:10:43 Now, the one who is of Jhulika,
01:10:45 she is Bhabhi.
01:10:46 If she would have been known earlier,
01:10:47 then,
01:10:48 when the trolley shot goes inside,
01:10:49 and she is sitting,
01:10:50 then only,
01:10:51 we would have to believe,
01:10:52 that, oh, this is a double role of hers.
01:10:53 Then,
01:10:54 in the last,
01:10:55 the one who is sitting outside,
01:10:56 that is a naughty girl.
01:10:57 The poor girl,
01:10:58 who is roaming inside,
01:10:59 like a ghost,
01:11:00 that is a good girl.
01:11:01 That is good.
01:11:02 So, all these things,
01:11:03 we can't reveal.
01:11:04 So, you do have something,
01:11:05 lot of things for them.
01:11:06 Lots of things,
01:11:07 to stun the audience.
01:11:08 Lot, lot.
01:11:09 Okay.
01:11:10 So, thank you very much.
01:11:11 Thank you very much.
01:11:12 It's going to be a stunning Diwali.
01:11:13 It was very nice talking to you.
01:11:15 It was a lot of fun, Bharti ji.
01:11:16 Thank you so much.
01:11:17 Same here, same here.
01:11:18 Thank you so much.
01:11:19 Stunning Diwali,
01:11:20 we are all looking forward to.
01:11:21 Absolutely, Inshallah.
01:11:22 Thank you.
01:11:23 So, don't let us down.
01:11:24 No, no, Inshallah.
01:11:25 We are working very hard.
01:11:26 Okay.
01:11:27 Yes.
01:11:28 Rest, see,
01:11:29 I will tell you,
01:11:30 that rest,
01:11:31 whatever you can do,
01:11:32 you can do.
01:11:33 There is a public,
01:11:34 God,
01:11:35 what they have written on the screen,
01:11:36 we have written our screenplay
01:11:37 absolutely correctly.
01:11:38 Okay, okay.
01:11:39 It is a perfect screenplay.
01:11:40 It will be good.
01:11:41 You are right.
01:11:42 We have corrected the grammar and screenplay.
01:11:44 Rest,
01:11:45 God's eyes should be on us.
01:11:46 Allah is Almighty,
01:11:48 He is very kind,
01:11:49 always,
01:11:50 and if His eyes are on us,
01:11:51 then it will be good,
01:11:52 there will be a good result.
01:11:53 All the best to you.
01:11:54 Thank you very much.
01:11:55 Bye.
01:11:56 Bye.
01:11:57 Bye.
01:11:59 Bye.
01:12:00 Bye.
01:12:01 Bye.
01:12:02 Bye.
01:12:03 Bye.
01:12:04 Bye.
01:12:05 Bye.
01:12:06 Bye.
