Palestinian prime minister Mohammad Mustafa says the Palestinian Authority is making reforms to govern Gaza after the war.

00:09 Mr Mustafa was in Brussels to meet with international partners including EU foreign policy chief
00:14 Josep Borrell and Norway's foreign minister who handed over the official papers for his
00:20 country's recognition.
00:22 He says the Palestinian Authority is preparing to be the government of all of the future
00:25 state of Palestine including Gaza.
00:54 Meanwhile the Spanish foreign affairs minister Jose Manuel Alvarez says his country won't
00:58 be intimidated for recognising Palestine after Israel announced it would no longer allow

01:14 in Gaza and the entry of all necessary humanitarian aid into Gaza.

01:29 EU foreign affairs ministers are meeting in Brussels on Monday where they'll discuss the
01:32 growing catastrophic situation for civilians in Gaza and the need to respect international
01:36 humanitarian law.
01:38 The foreign affairs ministers of Spain and Ireland will also speak to their counterparts
01:42 about the reasons for their recognition of the Palestinian state as a way of breathing
01:46 new life into the two-state solution.
01:48 But as the foreign minister of Spain also said, they'll be calling on other EU countries
01:53 to join them.
