00:00All right, we want to win rules in the locker room, all right?
00:04Expect a good, clean fight out of both of you.
00:06Pay close attention to my commands.
00:08Protect yourself at all times.
00:09Touch them, I'll wait for the bell.
00:13Brandon bulletproof Glatton.
00:1712th fight with Jason Jones in his corner.
00:21Carlos from Meta.
00:24Time.
00:25First career ten-rounder.
00:29Left Cuba in 2020.
00:31Nicaragua, Mexico.
00:32Now he fights in the main event tonight.
00:35Here we go.
00:36It's time to fight.
00:38Gray trunks for Brandon Glatton.
00:41White and blue trunks for Carlos from Meta Romero.
00:47Seven finishes, six of those for the Demolition Man
00:52have come in the first two rounds.
00:55From Meta's one of those guys you got to be careful.
00:57He's very good at changing speeds.
00:59He looks like he's being relaxed, he's chill,
01:01and then bang, he's explosive.
01:02Let's those shots go.
01:05And he's circling to his left.
01:06Glatton's got to start cutting off the ring
01:08because Romero's already starting
01:09to get a little comfortable.
01:11Body shots like that will dissuade him a bit
01:14from the movement, but Glatton's got to cut off the ring.
01:17He's allowing Romero to just go to his left freely.
01:24From Meta, one of those guys fights
01:25with a lot of confidence.
01:27Good little chopping right hand on the inside there.
01:30Sneaky shot from Meta.
01:34The David Light fight, sorry, Chris.
01:36The David Light fight was right here.
01:38And then the fight in Dubai was back in March for Glatton.
01:44And he did have to do some soul searching.
01:48The open poly champ, you spoke about Glatton and his power
01:51and how he really relies on it.
01:53You can see physically he's a very, very strong guy.
01:56Two-fisted power puncher, great condition.
02:00But this is boxing.
02:01It's not a knockout contest.
02:03Ooh, good body shots there.
02:08And Glatton relying on that mental pressure.
02:10Like I said, he'd serve himself better
02:14if he cut off the ring.
02:15It would be more mental pressure.
02:16And utilize a jab in which Jason Jones said,
02:19he's pretty darn good.
02:22He just needs to use it more often.
02:2712 and 1 against 17 and 2 for the WBA Continental North
02:31America Cruiserweight belt. Our main event, Mike Goldberg,
02:36my powerful partners, the Magic Man, two-time world champion,
02:39Pauly Malignaggi, former world champion, Chris Algieri.
02:43Always great to be with you.
02:46Good fighters, great fights, and some spectacular performances
02:50tonight.
03:02Really like the body work from Glanton.
03:03He's focusing on the torso of Fermet.
03:07I think that's a good idea.
03:11Because Fermet is showing a lot of good boxing skills,
03:14a lot of explosion, and a lot of confidence early on.
03:20Good punches, yeah.
03:25All right.
03:38I told you, just keep that breath for a moment.
03:40Graz, you're gonna break this one down, all right?
03:42You got a half a minute of break.
03:43Just take your time, but don't waste time.
03:45Hey, cut that ring.
03:47Keep that straight coming down the middle.
03:49You don't know how to box.
03:50Put your hands up.
03:52Okay?
03:53Put those rings down from time to time
03:54so they open up.
03:55The rings.
04:00As promised, action-packed every other Wednesday
04:03here on Pro Box TV.
04:06Our main event, November 1st,
04:08a 10-round welterweight matchup,
04:1017-1, Janelson Figueroa Boca Chica
04:15from Detroit, Michigan,
04:17takes on 18-2 Argentinian Alberto Palmetto.
04:22Every other Wednesday in November right here
04:25on Pro Box TV, round two.
04:27Brandon Glatton in the gray trunks,
04:29white and blue trunks for Carlos Prometa Romero.
04:38Glatton likes to zap the will
04:42and take the heart and courage away from an opponent
04:47with his mental fortitude.
04:49But he does know, as I've alluded to a couple of times,
04:53Chris and Paulie, that plan A can't always be the only plan.
04:57Sometimes you got to back off, reset,
04:59perhaps get the same result, but not force it.
05:03And, man, he was surprised how tough,
05:05and I think we all were,
05:06how tough David Light was that night.
05:09Well, the thing is, again, he's showing one of the flaws
05:12in his game here, again, not cutting off the ring,
05:14because when you want to pressure a guy,
05:16when you want to break the will of a guy,
05:18it's uncomfortable to pressure him.
05:20But also, you got to understand,
05:22Prometa is a guy who likes to be in and out, in and out.
05:24And by giving him the exit all the time,
05:26he's able to be in and out
05:27at least a good enough portion of the round
05:29to where he can still remain somewhat comfortable.
05:33Yeah, that smothering pressure
05:34when you got a guy cutting off the ring
05:36and banging your body and banging your knee.
05:37It's a different level. It's totally different.
05:39If you have an exit, like you said,
05:40you've got that reprieve. You can breathe.
05:42You can let a combination go. You can walk around.
05:44You can do exactly that,
05:45what Prometa's just doing in between those combinations.
05:48Especially when you're an in-and-out fighter,
05:49which Prometa is, a lot of Cubans are.
05:51You know, you're used to being in and then getting out,
05:54so all you need is one escape.
05:56Don't get me wrong, Glanton's making them work, too,
05:58and Glanton's landing his own shots.
05:59The fight is competitive, but it could...
06:01Oh, good hook there by Glanton.
06:02But again, you want to perfect what you do with your Glanton.
06:05We talked about in those selfies
06:07that he needs to have to his game,
06:08and that's definitely one of them
06:09if he's going to be a pressure fighter.
06:11Well, that's something that looks new to me,
06:13is Glanton's actually...
06:14He's not cutting off the ring with his movement,
06:16but he's cutting the ring off with his punches.
06:18As Prometa moved to his right,
06:21he threw the left hook, caught him with two shots.
06:23Ooh, good body shot, too.
06:24That was a good body shot.
06:26Sneaky one.
06:27He's got to cut off the ring when Prometa moves to his left,
06:29because that's where the Prometa's going all the time.
06:32Prometa, 13 professional fights
06:37in just over two years and two months.
06:41He's been on a good pace as a professional
06:43with a fight just about every two months.
06:46Main event tonight against Brandon Glanton.
06:51Low shot, and Glanton will work right through it.
06:55Good double hook by Glanton on the inside.
06:58Now the uppercut in over the top.
07:00And you can see why Glanton needs to cut off the ring,
07:06because look what he does when he gets at close range.
07:09Damaging punches, good work.
07:11This would be even more consistent
07:13if he cuts off the ring, because when he's here,
07:15he's something else.
07:16Big shot!
07:17Big shot.
07:19Right in the round by Brandon Glanton.
07:23But it's a very Mike Tyson-esque match.
07:27And that shot was behind the ear, guys,
07:29and he was kind of...
07:30I don't know, he's unshaky, man.
07:32Yeah, no, he did a pretty deep body head
07:35with the uppercut and then overhand.
07:36Oh, saved by the bell.
07:38You still hurt.
07:40
07:50You got the point.
07:52I'm going to stop the fight.
07:54I'm going to stop the fight,
07:55or else I'm going to stop you a little worse.
07:57
08:01I mentioned the very Mike Tyson-esque
08:05barrage, that double hook to the body,
08:06straight uppercut, and then the overhand shot
08:10had Fermenta in a world of trouble there.
08:12Boom, bang.
08:14Good shot, and then that one...
08:15Oh, right behind the ear.
08:17Oh, yeah.
08:18Just take the legs.
08:20
08:25Jason Jones said Brandon's in a good place,
08:27mentally, great shape.
08:29Physically, they've made adjustments
08:32without reinventing the entire wheel.
08:36Plan A, breaking people's will with pressure.
08:41If I'm Glanton, man, I would be jumping all over Fermenta.
08:46Third round, Chris, he was out of camera range
08:50when they were giving the eight count to Fermenta,
08:53but the look in the eyes of Brandon took me back to when
08:56he was playing football because he was ready
08:59to take the quarterback and do damage
09:04and finish the game, if you will.
09:06He was ready to pounce, but the round had ended,
09:09and he's gonna come out with that same aggression,
09:11I think, here.
09:12My first fight coach in kickboxing always said,
09:14when you drop a guy, stare at him like you want his soul
09:16as he's on his knees, waiting to get up.
09:18Part of my soul was captured by Glanton
09:21just watching the stare he was giving me.
09:23You made the mistake. Don't make eye contact.
09:28I don't know what's going on here.
09:30One point. Hold it.
09:32Low shot. One point.
09:33Yep. One point. Hold it.
09:35I don't know what's going on here.
09:38I didn't think the holding was that obvious.
09:41I mean, it wasn't like he was exaggerating.
09:42I know he warned him a couple times,
09:44and even the warnings I thought were kind of
09:45a little bit lame as he's not holding in that manner.
09:48So now you have a knockdown and a point deduction,
09:51and we're in round three of a potential ten.
09:59Let go. Let go of the arms.
10:00Glanton said, champions adjust.
10:02Stop. Break.
10:04Now break. Flip back.
10:06Come on. Come on, guys.
10:09Focus. Work.
10:14Heavy shots right in front of our broadcast position.
10:17Yeah, Farhana's breaking down.
10:18Yep.
10:21Ben's doing a good job landing nice short shots on the inside.
10:24Break. Break. Break.
10:26Farhana, grab it onto the ribs.
10:27Yeah, I don't think his legs are underneath that.
10:31This one may be slipping away very quickly
10:35from Carlos Fermeta
10:39as Glanton continues to pressure.
10:41And confidence rising more and more.
10:43Yes.
10:44And Fermeta had a very good opening round,
10:46but it's been all Glanton since the second.
10:49Heard him again.
10:51And another big shot.
10:55That might be all.
10:57And he doesn't want to fight either.
10:58Even his body language is saying he doesn't want to fight.
11:00Yes, he shook his head to his corner.
11:02Or freestyle.
11:03It is all over!
11:05Just like that!
11:07Brandon Glanton puts himself back in victory lane!
11:12What a shot.
11:30Bulletproof with the finish!
11:34Yeah, this was almost elementary here.
11:35He got behind the ear again.
11:37He didn't like what he felt then.
11:38I don't know what he was doing here.
11:40Kind of protects it up all the time.
11:41in the fight when he got dropped in,
11:43just kind of walks away.
11:44I mean, he didn't look like he was with it the whole round.
11:46He didn't look like he wanted to fight the whole round.
11:49And really, once he got dropped in the second round,
11:50he took all the fight out of him.
11:53He'd be very confident round one,
11:54but once he got hurt, that was enough.
12:01So what has probably seemed to be the longest 10 months
12:07of Brandon Glanton's boxing life is over.
12:13And he is back in the winner's column.
12:1718th professional victory, 15th professional finish.
12:38Ooh, yeah, that left hook was a money shot
12:40for Glanton all night long,
12:42using it to cut off the ring nicely.
12:45And then on the inside, like I said,
12:47that Mike Tyson double hook to the body
12:50and then to the head with the uppercut overhand right.
12:53And from then on, really, it was all Glanton.
12:55Once that shot got behind the ear
12:57and took the legs away from Formetta,
12:59it took the fight out of him.
13:02There you saw him walking away, looking at his corner,
13:04got dropped one, two, three, four, five,
13:06got dropped once more,
13:07and then he was just looking at the corner,
13:09saying, no mas.
13:12And it was the corner that officially called the fight.
13:18Formetta's corner said, let's stop it.
13:20Brandon Glanton, with the victory,
13:23he'll learn the belt,
13:24and Jim Sorensen will make it official.
13:28Ladies and gentlemen,
13:31at 2 minutes, 14 seconds of round number three,
13:36referee Emil Lombardi stops the bout,
13:40and the new North America Continental
13:44WBA Cruiserweight Champion,
13:46Brandon Bulletproof Glanton!
13:51-♪
13:54Aggressive,
13:57had a good pace, disciplined,
14:00and he finishes his opponent quickly
14:05to win the WBA Continental North America Cruiserweight belt.
14:12Brandon Glanton with a big smile on his face.
14:16He's gone through a lot.
14:17He said to me that he needed a humbling.
14:21There were some things he said that I'm gonna...
