00:00 Do you think smartphones should be banned for under 16s?
00:03 Yes.
00:04 Why is that?
00:05 Because I haven't got a smartphone myself and I think a lot of this social interactivity
00:11 that's going on, the social media and all this, is going to come back and bite us at
00:16 some stage in the future.
00:18 And how do you consume your news and what's on?
00:22 Basically from the radio or I occasionally put it on on the television but it's so down
00:29 beat and everything's basically war and strife and there's no good news about it.
00:37 Do you think smartphones should be banned for under 16s?
00:40 I don't really know.
00:42 I mean I think they are a distraction for a lot of the time.
00:44 I think they spoil a lot of family quality time, they ruin communication and they're
00:50 obviously a big hassle for schools but they're also very useful.
00:54 So I think it's just not actually banned but given specific times when they can be used
00:59 and when they should be used and not used I think it's probably a safer way.
01:03 Do you think smartphones should be banned for under 16s?
01:07 No.
01:08 Why is that?
01:11 Because I think they are a useful tool if used properly with parental controls.
01:21 Do you think smartphones should be banned for under 16s?
01:25 No, under 12s maybe.
01:28 What do you think about smartphones being banned for under 16s?
01:34 In general no but certainly in school situations yes.
01:38 Do you think we should ban smartphones for under 16s?
01:43 In my view yes only because, well maybe times, limited times for kids because my kids are
01:50 taught that when you're having a meal at the table they're not allowed phones because
01:54 I just think it's distracting and we need family time.
