Desmond Dekker, pseudonym of Desmond Adolphus Dacres (Kingston, 16 July 1941 – Greater London, 25 May 2006), was a Jamaican reggae singer, considered one of the most important exponents of reggae music. Desmond Dekker died due to cardiac arrest on 25 May 2006 at his home in Thornton Heath in London, at the age of 64.
Keith Alvin Saint Hope Gardner (Kingston, 6 September 1929 – Livingston, 25 May 2012) was a Jamaican sprinter and hurdler. In 1955 he won two silver medals at the II Pan American Games in Mexico City in the 110 meter hurdles and in the 4 relay ×400 metres. In 1958 he took home two gold medals, one silver and one bronze at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff. At the 1960 Rome Olympic Games, where he competed with the Federation of West Indies, placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles, but won a bronze medal in the 4x400-meter relay
