The album draws its central theme from Euripides' poignant quote: "Happiest is he who never faced life’s evils. But the next best thing, by far, is to die at birth." ("ὃς μὴ γενόμενος τῶνδέ γ' ἤνυσεν κακῶν, φρονεῖν ἄριστος. δεύτερος δ᾽ ἔοικε θανών εὐθύς.”) in its original Greek.
