00:00 I think the win is like, you know, how Kendrick go home and feel about it
00:04 and how Drizzy will go home and feel about it.
00:06 I think the win will be like something like both of them coming together and doing a song together.
00:11 I think that's one of the most beautiful wins.
00:14 NLE Choppa breaks down the Kendrick vs Drake beef, talks about his with Blueface.
00:18 I'd damn near kill you on the beat.
00:20 And I'd damn near call you like, "Hey bro, I'm done fucking with you."
00:23 And gets real about the dangers of hip-hop taking it to the streets.
00:27 At the end of the day, you don't wanna die, I don't wanna die.
00:29 It can go either way.
00:30 We have a preview ahead of his full interview next week.
00:33 But first, his thoughts on the return of diss track culture.
00:37 I feel like it serves a purpose to a certain extent.
00:42 I love to look at it from like a competitive standpoint.
00:46 I love to see competitiveness, you know, rather in sports.
00:50 But when rap, when it comes with rap and competitiveness,
00:53 sometimes it get a little risky because some people really take it to the heart.
00:57 I feel like that's the part of it that you really gotta tread lightly on
01:00 because a lot of these people walking with a certain type of pride on their shoulder
01:05 or holding it in to where, you know, their feelings might really be hurt.
01:09 And in our community, when our feelings get hurt, especially a lot of black men,
01:13 we don't result in expressing that way the most positive,
01:17 expressing that our feelings hurt in the most positive manner.
01:19 You know what I'm saying?
01:20 Sometimes it leads to motherfuckers being killed, assaulted, you know what I'm saying?
01:25 Hurt or even, you know, it keeps it stringing along and it takes a toll on you mentally.
01:29 So, I mean, it's the flip side of it.
01:31 I love to watch it from a competitive nature, but I'm also behind the scenes like,
01:36 "I'm hoping these motherfuckers don't take it too serious
01:38 because at the end of the day, ain't none of us God.
01:40 Yo ass can die."
01:42 I be trying to stay at it.
01:44 I feel like that's...
01:45 I mean, you've had your own little stuff too.
01:46 Like even you and Blueface was back and forth for a second there.
01:48 Like, do you take that stuff serious?
01:49 But I don't take it serious.
01:51 Like, you feel me?
01:51 Like, if I go back and forth on a beat or whatever,
01:54 like I'm just knowing like, in my mind, I'm not taking it serious.
01:58 Now, if he taking it serious, it's one thing, but I'm so one with self to where
02:03 I know when I can be like, "All right, I'm done feeding into this."
02:06 Because the more you feed into it, the more it starts to grow.
02:10 Like, I ain't gonna lie, I be the type of nigga be like,
02:12 "Ah, damn, they'll kill you on the beat."
02:14 And I'd then call you and be like, "Hey, bro, I'm done fucking with you.
02:16 Like, I don't even wanna fuck with you no more.
02:18 Like, this shit ain't going in."
02:19 Like, at the end of the day, you don't wanna die, I don't wanna die.
02:22 So, it can go either way.
02:24 - Nah, you right, man.
02:24 - But I know one thing about me, I got two beautiful children.
02:28 I'm gonna make it back.
02:29 - Yeah, you ain't trying to play those games.
02:31 - I'm gonna make it back.
02:32 - And I do gotta ask you, last question on it.
02:34 The artistry was there, though.
02:35 You gotta admit, the diss tracks between those two great gentlemen were off the chain.
02:39 So, did you pick a winner?
02:40 - Man, I feel like the win is more so not about like,
02:46 who got the most streams or what song is the best.
02:50 I think the win is more so how you handle, you know what I'm saying?
02:53 The success you got from all that controversy.
02:56 I think the win would be like something like
02:58 both of them coming together and doing a song together.
03:00 I think that's one of the most beautiful wins because, you know,
03:04 from the outside looking in, there probably ain't even no real, real problems.
03:08 Where I'm from, it's a lot of problems to where, why people are really wanting to attack people.
03:13 Like, I know people, brother, sister got killed in the car with them because of some beef shit.
03:19 So, now like working with the nigga that killed my brother and my sister is way, way harder
03:26 than a whole 'nother beef that probably started about something that's not as serious.
03:30 You feel me?
03:31 I think the win is like, you know, how Kendrick go home and feel about it
03:35 and how Drizzy go home and feel about it.
03:38 And I think the win is doing something like similar to when Drake and Meek was having they feud.
03:43 Like, they did what they did, but they came back as men and shook hands, made a song.
03:47 That's what we need to see.
03:49 We have more with NLE Choppa next week.
