00:00 You're on a short list of drivers who are going to attempt 1,100 miles in one day.
00:05 What is the mindset going into the Indy 500 and the Coke 600?
00:09 Well, for me, I just like competing in the biggest events there are, and it doesn't get
00:14 any bigger than the Indy 500.
00:16 People have been kind of wondering when I'm going to do it, and finally it's all come
00:20 together.
00:21 So, yeah, I'm excited about it.
00:23 I don't really think too much about the mileage of it all really yet, just excited about getting
00:28 to run two races in the same day and hopefully both go well, and it would be great if I could
00:33 win at least one of the two.
00:35 What will you look back on that day and think that it was a successful day?
00:38 If I could finish in the top 10 in both races, I think that would be really successful.
00:44 Kurt Busch obviously sets the bar.
00:46 I think he finished sixth or something in the 500, so you want to beat that for sure.
00:53 I know my opportunity to win at Charlotte will be really good, being that I'm in Hendrick
00:57 Equipment, and we've won that race before, and I'm just excited for the opportunity really.
01:01 Rick Hendrick is not a bad guy to know.
01:04 He's the boss man for you, but he also is coming in as an owner, partnering with McLaren.
01:09 What's his goal?
01:11 I think his goal would probably be for me to not crash the car so he can have it in
01:15 his museum shortly after.
01:18 But no, I'm excited to have Mr. H a part of it.
01:20 I think that's great that he's able to be part owner in the team, and I don't think
01:25 he's ever been to an Indy 500 either.
01:27 Whether we win or not, just having him be there and be a part of it is going to be pretty
01:31 special.
