@Gocciedimemoria George Maharis (1 September 1928 - 24 May 2023) was an American actor, singer and visual artist who played Buz Murdock in the first three seasons of the TV series Route 66. Maharis also recorded several pop music albums at the height of his Fama, and later starred in the TV series The Most Deadly Game. Maharis won the performance prize at the Theater World Awards for his role in The Zoo Story. In November 1963, Maharis described his work on the Route 66.Maharis did the model completely naked for the central page of the July 1973 number of the playgirl magazine, one of the first celebrities to do it. It was the second issue of the magazine. During the 70s and 80s, Maharis starred in several television films. Maharis died in his Beverly Hills home on May 24, 2023, at the age of 94 after contracting hepatitis.
