00:00 So we're here at Pressfeld School in Shrewsbury, beautiful grounds and Holly
00:04 you're Queen of Boarding! I am, I'm Head of Boarding here at Pressfeld School.
00:08 It's quite a new thing isn't it, the boarding? Just fill us in on the
00:11 changes that are happening. Yes, we've offered boarding for years and years and
00:15 years but from September we're going to be doing five nights a week for girls
00:18 and boys in years three to eight, so it's a really exciting change for us at Pressfeld.
00:22 And is it mixed dorms, boys girls dorms, how does it work?
00:26 So we have two floors, the boys are on the top floor, the girls on the bottom floor and we've got
00:31 male and female staff as well so it's a really vibrant exciting environment that
00:35 the kids get to stay in. And we've just had a look in their little lounge, we've got some
00:38 nice big comfy settees haven't they to laze about. There is, we've got lovely lounge spaces but actually from
00:42 September we're going to have even more communal space and games rooms so it's
00:46 really exciting, lots of developments coming over the summer. And there'll be
00:49 activities for the pupils that are boarding kind of in the evening just to
00:53 keep them busy and active. Yes, we have activities but we also just it's really
00:56 important they have downtime as well so they'll have an option to do sports or
01:00 board games but also just to chill and relax as well which is really important
01:03 for their downtime. I guess it's exciting for the school because it just you know
01:07 it's quite a special place and it just opens that up to a community further
01:10 away doesn't it, having the boarding. It does, we've got so many families that are
01:13 really interested in an education at Pressfeld but you know now we've got
01:16 Monday to Saturday we can accommodate families from the borders from counters
01:20 outside of Shropshire so it's really exciting I think we've got lots of
01:22 interest from from outside of the county now which is really really incredible.
