Exclusive Interview with Sharad Kelkar about the need of a Support System for Artistes

Bollywood Actor and renowned Voice-over artist Sharad Kelkar is receiving a great response to his work in the Disney+ Hotstar animated series ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’. He spoke with IANS and talked about the need of a good support system for artistes saying that it’s imperative for an artiste to have a solid support system, more so for those who work in cinema. ‘It can be emotionally overwhelming for an artist and that’s where a good support system can help you. 00:44 I follow that. I tell people, if you have an old friend,

00:51 if you have an old friend, call him and tell him let's meet over coffee.

00:57 if you think he is jealous of you,

01:00 you realize if a person is jealous of you, you realize it.

01:04 But if your friend hasn't reached there,

01:06 you want him to reach there,

01:08 at least he should be your friend.

01:11 Because he will be in a hush.

01:13 He might be busy, he might not talk to you.

01:17 So you should break the ice.

01:19 I always call my friends,

01:20 "Where are you? What are you doing? Let's have tea."

01:23 "Let's meet where we met before." So I do that.

01:26 I always tell my friends to call their friends.

01:29 Whether they are old or they are busy.

01:32 Because you are equal in life with your intentions.

01:36 You are higher or lower with your luck.

01:39 But if you are lucky,

01:41 your luck can have an effect on him if you support him.

01:46 So always support your friends.

01:47 And you shouldn't hesitate.

01:50 I think it's a friendship effort that you should always do.
