00:00 Hello, very good evening to you. We are going to see some largely dry weather across southern
00:04 parts as we go through the end of the week, but it's a different story further north.
00:08 There are still some outbreaks of rain to come because the same area of low pressure
00:13 which has brought all the wet weather that we've seen recently is still lingering across
00:18 northern areas. As a result, outbreaks of rain will continue to feed down from the north
00:23 as we go through the end of Thursday and overnight into Friday. Some of this rain could be a
00:28 little bit on the heavy side. There may still be some further impacts as a result, but the
00:33 rain is generally easing. Towards the south, we are likely to say mostly dry. In fact,
00:38 there could be some clear skies as we go through the early hours of Friday morning, under which
00:42 it's likely to turn a little chilly, a bit fresh perhaps for some, just about dipping
00:46 into single figures. Elsewhere with the cloud, the rain and some blustery winds, it's going
00:51 to be markedly milder, most places holding up in double digits. As we go through Friday
00:56 itself then, we stick with a north-south split of sorts. Towards the south, the greater chance
01:01 of staying dry and a greater chance of seeing some sunshine breaking through, but I am expecting
01:06 some showers to develop across some southern areas as we head through the day. Further
01:10 north, there will be a bit more cloud around and some showery outbreaks of rain and some
01:15 of the showers across parts of Scotland, northern England could turn quite heavy. There could
01:19 even be the odd rumble of thunder as well. Now, temperatures are going to be near normal,
01:24 perhaps a little bit below average for the time of year for some of us. In the south,
01:29 southeast, may scrape to high teens, possibly low 20s, so not feeling too bad, pleasantly
01:34 warm in any sunny breaks. Further north where you have the cloud, feeling fresher, but it
01:39 will probably feel a little bit warmer than it has done recently because it's not going
01:43 to be as wet and not as blustery either. Most of the showers will die out and clear away
01:48 as we go through tomorrow evening, through Friday evening, and so it is going to turn
01:52 largely dry overnight, sticking with some cloud across northern parts. Further south
01:56 though, largely clear skies developing and as a result, a couple of things, we could
02:01 see some mist and fog patches, but we're also going to see our temperatures dropping a bit
02:05 lower than they have done through some recent nights. So it could be a bit of a fresh, chilly
02:09 start compared to recently for many of us first thing on Saturday morning. Now, any
02:14 mist and fog on Saturday should clear away quite quickly and then it is going to be the
02:18 driest, brightest, sunniest day of the long weekend for most of us. Yes, there will be
02:23 a few showers developing in some central northern parts perhaps, and we are going to see a spell
02:28 of rain trying to push in from the east, affecting some North Sea coastal parts and another spell
02:33 of rain coming in from the west, perhaps affecting the tip of Wales, Devon, Cornwall as we go
02:37 through the afternoon. But like I say, there will be some decent dry, if not sunny weather
02:42 around for large chunks of the UK on Saturday. With that then, temperatures are probably
02:46 going to be a bit higher than they are on Friday, a greater chance of seeing high teens
02:50 or low 20s. So in any sunshine, feeling pretty warm indeed. Later on in the weekend, we are
02:56 going to see this wet weather across the west pushing its way northeastwards as we go into
03:01 Sunday and behind it then plenty of showers. Some of these could be heavy, could see some
03:05 impacts from the intense downpours in association with these, but that all shifts its way northeastwards
03:10 as we go towards Bank Holiday Monday. And there are some signs that we could see a slice
03:14 of something a bit drier, a bit sunnier perhaps, developing across some west and southwestern
03:19 areas as we go through Bank Holiday Monday. So some hopes that there could be some decent
03:23 dry weather around and worth bearing in mind at this time of year with the sort of temperatures
03:27 we're expecting, it will feel pretty warm in any sunshine too. If you want to know more
03:31 about the forecast we can expect over the long Bank Holiday weekend, do head to our
03:35 YouTube channel. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
03:37 Bye-bye.
