00:00 Right, so here we are at the Rahul Gandhi's rally. He is canvassing for Kanhaiya Kumar.
00:05 Remember Kanhaiya Kumar, the name that shot to fame in 2016 with his Azadi remarks at the JNU.
00:13 And he is now contesting from the northeastern part of Delhi on a Congress ticket.
00:17 Remember, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have a seat-sharing formula here.
00:21 On three seats, we have Congress and on four seats, the rest of the four seats in Delhi, it's Aam Aadmi Party.
00:29 Rahul Gandhi is there speaking on the stage, acknowledging the people for coming here in this intense heat,
00:37 but also not failing to mention that how the BJP government is trying to change the Constitution.
00:44 As he elaborates upon how the Constitution was formed, if you take a look at the gathering here, the kind of support,
00:53 it looks like the people of northeast Delhi have thrown in their support for the Congress candidate.
01:00 It's roughly 42 to 43 degrees here in New Delhi as of now, and people from all walks of life,
01:07 the supporters and the members of NSUI, Congress members, and the locals have come here alike.
01:14 One thing is for certain, to give a challenge to Manoj Tiwari, who has been an MP here in 2019.
01:23 Manoj Tiwari dislodged the Sheela Dixit government from Delhi.
01:31 He dislodged Sheela Dixit, in fact, from the seat.
01:34 And his role in the NDA, his role in BJP has been humongous.
01:41 And this time around, the BJP has reposed faith in only one candidate out of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
01:49 BJP changed six candidates on six seats, but it retained Manoj Tiwari.
01:54 And Kanhaiya Kumar is up against that leader, who has a mass appeal, who is a singer himself,
02:02 who is very quick-witted when it comes to talking to media.
02:06 And needless to say, his role and his call for the betterment of the people of Purvanchal,
02:12 especially in this area, which is mostly dominated by refugees and other people who have come here to find settlement in the national capital.
02:24 So, for Kanhaiya Kumar, it is not going to be an easy walk.
02:28 But given the fact that the mood as of now in the country after five phases of elections,
02:36 whether the New Delhi elections in the sixth phase would see a cataclysmic change.
02:43 Total number of seats are seven here. Last time, BJP had taken all the seven seats.
02:47 This time around, we'll have to wait and watch how does Delhi vote.
02:51 Needless to say, the challenges, the issues are a lot.
02:54 And especially in this area, which is considered to be a trans-Yamuna area, Yamuna Par,
02:58 which Kanhaiya Kumar in his speech a short while ago said that the government has never crossed to this part of Delhi, which is trans-Yamuna,
03:06 otherwise considered to be a less developed area.
03:09 Now, it remains to be seen whether Kanhaiya Kumar's clarion call that he will not just bring an MP, but the whole government to the trans-Yamuna area,
03:18 whether it translates into a vote or not, we'll have to wait and watch.
