Rishi Sunak insists he has a “clear plan” if he wins the general election, referring to the “bold action” he has already taken on illegal migration and the economy as he sets out his party’s differences with the Labour Party. 00:00 If I'm Prime Minister, we will get flights off to Rwanda.
00:02 I believe that that's an important part of how you stop the boats.
00:06 You need a deterrent.
00:07 Multiple other European countries now agree with that approach.
00:10 Kirstarmer doesn't.
00:11 That's a simple choice for the country when they're making their decision.
00:14 Do they want to stop the boats?
00:15 Do they believe that that needs a deterrent?
00:17 And if they do, that's what I'll deliver.
00:19 I'm prepared to take bold action.
00:20 I've got a clear plan.
00:21 That's how I'll deliver a secure future for our country.
00:23 And Kirstarmer won't, because on that issue, he wants to scrap the Rwanda policy,
00:27 doesn't believe in a deterrent.
00:28 He wants to offer people an illegal amnesty.
00:30 And that's the conversation we'll have over the next six weeks.
00:33 On every issue, whether it's energy security, net zero, cutting people's taxes,
00:38 making sure that we reform the welfare system, investing more in our defence,
00:42 on all those substance issues, there's a choice at this election.
00:45 Who can you trust to take bold action or stick to a clear plan to deliver a secure future?
00:51 That's what I'm about.
00:52 Inflation has now returned to normal.
00:54 Wages are growing faster than prices for almost a year.
00:57 Energy bills are falling.
00:58 The economy is growing.
00:59 And whilst I know it will take time for people to feel the full benefits of that,
01:03 it's clear that our plan is working.
01:05 That didn't happen by accident.
01:06 It happened because I took a set of decisions.
01:09 They weren't easy.
01:10 I stuck to that plan even when it was tough and people were being critical
01:13 because I believed it was right for our country.
01:15 And because of that, that hard-earned economic stability that we now have,
01:19 we can think about the future in a way that we need to as a country.
01:23 That future is one which requires a bold action.
01:27 It requires a clear plan.
01:28 That's what I bring.
01:29 And the alternative, the alternative with Keir Starmer is none of that.
01:33 Can't tell you what he would do differently.
01:35 Doesn't have the courage to tell you his plan.
01:37 And you don't get any change.
01:38 You don't get any security with that.
01:40 And that is the choice at this election.
01:42 Do we put all that hard-earned economic stability at risk and go backwards?
