00:00 So when the routines have begun, the girls are much more ready to start learning quickly.
00:06 So the teachers have been able to set up the learning environment, the girls settle in
00:12 quickly and so there's more effective learning time within the defined lesson time we have
00:17 here at St Clair's.
00:19 We've begun with entry routines, so that is the orderly entry into the classroom and the
00:25 opportunity for the teacher to engage with the students before they enter the learning
00:30 space.
00:31 So the girls line up in single or double rows depending on the corridor they're in and the
00:35 space available.
00:36 So we have signage up so the girls are reminded of the line up procedure in that area.
00:42 The teacher greets the students, invites them into the classroom.
00:46 When the girls get into the classroom we have a cue to start, which is the girls standing
00:50 behind their desks and their chairs in the first instance and the teacher explaining
00:55 what the first item on the agenda for the day is, so what resources they need and the
01:02 girls get ready for learn, have a cue to attention there, which we're using our school motto,
01:07 which has real connection with the girls.
01:09 So we do a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, we seek wisdom, so seek wisdom, our motto.
01:15 At the end of the lesson the girls pack up in an orderly manner and the teacher has some
01:21 quiet time there to be able to give final instruction to the girls, whether it's homework
01:26 or a reminder for the next lesson.
01:28 And then at the bell the girls exit in an orderly manner, so it could be in rows or
01:32 small groups, so that as they exit they're not crowding doors and it's a safe and calm
01:38 exit from the classroom as well.
01:40 Today we all seek wisdom.
01:42 Beautiful, take a seat.
