00:00 Hi, my name is Alex Morris and I have written a story in this Saturday's Newcastle Herald
00:08 all about this beautiful space behind me, Nobby's Lighthouse.
00:14 My story is all about how in the last few years this space has become activated in a
00:21 completely different way than it ever has been before.
00:24 There's a lot of fascinating history about this headland and you can read about that
00:30 in my story, but specifically the Hunter Writers Centre has activated this space with the help
00:36 of other local organizations to make it available for artists from all kinds of different backgrounds
00:42 to come and make a lot of different types of art.
00:47 And not only that, but this space is again open to the public Saturday and Sundays from
00:53 10am to 4pm, there is an exhibition on at the moment and there's also a shop full of
00:58 work and pieces from local artists.
01:01 So read the Newcastle Herald this Saturday to learn all about this iconic location, its
01:06 history and how it's changing and the culture and creativity it's bringing right here to
01:12 this beach.
