One of five participating primary schools across Teesside hosted the launch event for a new community project to teach children about the importance of bees and their role in nature.

00:06 We're here today for the Telling the Bees project launch on World Bee Day.
00:11 Lots of people have come to find out about the bees and the project,
00:16 the Hartlepool Folklore Festival and Thirteen.
00:20 And we're hoping that this is going to really engage the children into understanding about
00:25 the bees and the importance of bees in our environment.
00:28 We're also really excited because we're due to get somebody hives.
