00:25 Hi George!
00:26 Hi Daniel!
00:27 I mean I can't believe that I'm speaking to you right now, this is ridiculously insane!

00:37 Do you find him?

00:39 How did you actually help yourself to sleep at night knowing that you had an over-reputed
00:44 400 million budget film project on your shoulder that you're carrying being executed?
00:50 You don't think of it in that, in those terms.
00:53 It's like making a film is a kind of a military exercise.
00:56 You know on the shooting crew we had a thousand people and they're very organized.
01:02 Some of us have been working together for decades and there's a process that basically
01:08 evolves which you would adapt to each production.
01:13 What had to be the craziest thing that you did achieved this round for Furiosa?
01:18 Not that I would use the word crazy but most of the stunts you look back at them and you
01:24 see when you're in the cutting room and you say to yourself "Oh boy that was pretty wild!"
01:29 But while you're preparing to do the stunt it's very very precise.
01:34 You factor in all the elements.
01:37 It's one thing to do a stunt but it's another thing to make sure that it's captured in the
01:42 camera very very precisely.
01:45 So that kind of orchestration between the camera and the event is very very key.
01:51 Needs to be rehearsed properly, needs to be fail safe, needs to be very very safe.
01:56 For Furiosa itself, how long did you take to piece everything together?
02:12 Well, it took about seven months of shooting.
02:15 We had basically three or four units. There was main unit, there was Guy Norris' unit doing stunts,
02:23 there was a visual effects unit and there was an insert unit and they were all combined
02:30 and working in concert with each other.
02:33 And the rest of it was probably over a year in the cutting room, putting it all together.
02:39 Again, that was pretty much standard. It went fairly smoothly I'm glad to say.
02:45 Everything feels like it's a really hot environment.
02:48 Like you know, it's super scorching hot sun and everything.
02:50 I did a little bit of googling. You guys shot it somewhere in Australia.
02:54 Like was it really under a desert or like there were quite a number of CGI's as well?
02:58 We shot all over the state where we live, New South Wales.
03:05 We shot in several places.
03:07 Believe it or not, we shot through winter.
03:09 When we shot in Africa in the desert Namibia, it was in the middle of winter.
03:13 And people were really cold.
03:15 When we shot, the actors would be shivering.
03:18 You take the blankets off them, you'd call action and they had to sort of relax and play the role.
03:24 So working in the desert is not all heat.
03:27 When it is hot however, you really got to protect yourself from dehydration.
03:33 Particularly if it's a dry, dry heat. There's no sweating.
03:36 It's not humid. So people don't drink and you can dehydrate very easily.
