00:26 It's a privilege to have Amal here. She's been to over 65 countries from Australia.
00:31 She's been everywhere. She's been to Greece. She's been all around the world. So
00:35 to have her here in Derry is a massive thing, especially given our own history of
00:39 conflict and get through the conflict. There are many children here 30, 40 years ago who were like
00:44 Amal. So to have her here and welcomed by the people of the city, it's a massive thing and
00:49 it's such a privilege to show her around the wee town.

01:30 I think the organisers were very keen that we came to Derry because of the whole history.
01:34 Absolutely. So the organisers, International, they're quite aware of Derry's history, which is
01:40 it's phenomenal really that they've factored in a city like ours. And we're going to be taking
01:46 around Free Derry Corner, around some of the murals just to see a bit of our history and take
01:51 that away with her for the rest of her travels around the world.
01:53 And I suppose the tradition of internationalism, social justice in Derry, it ties in very well.
01:59 Absolutely. And Amal is just a symbol of that, the importance of that internationalism,
02:04 international solidarity and contributing and being a part of
02:08 settling and being a place of sanctuary for refugees and people fleeing conflict.
