00:00:45 On the behalf of our Bishop and our First Lady,
00:00:48 we want to say welcome, welcome, welcome.
00:00:51 Let's welcome everybody here.

00:00:56 We're going to bring our Bishop now.
00:00:58 Let's receive our Bishop as he comes.

00:01:03 Somebody's hand if you will.
00:01:05 And surely to everyone in the prisons
00:01:11 and all of our viewers from around the world,
00:01:14 we can't help but wish the best for everybody
00:01:18 and just pray that God will move in a mighty way.
00:01:21 And as you're touching somebody,
00:01:25 I believe you're touching somebody who's touching Jesus.
00:01:28 (upbeat music)
00:01:31 Everybody is not negative.
00:01:33 Everybody is not failing.
00:01:35 And we thank God that in the body of Christ,
00:01:40 there are overcomers.
00:01:43 There are victorious people.
00:01:46 There are people who are anointed
00:01:47 and people who have the power of God moving in their lives.
00:01:51 They don't have to defend themselves.
00:01:53 They don't have to move into apologetics.
00:01:56 They just live their life praising and glorifying God.
00:01:59 They don't have anything to prove to anyone else.
00:02:04 They just walk before the Lord
00:02:06 and goodness and mercy follow them.
00:02:10 And it's good to have somebody in your group
00:02:13 who is in touch with God.
00:02:15 And I heard him say,
00:02:17 "If two or three are gathered in my name,
00:02:20 "the smallest crowd,"
00:02:22 because two is a small crowd.
00:02:26 The smallest crowd, I am in the midst.
00:02:29 Squeeze those hands so slightly.
00:02:30 Father, we thank you again.
00:02:33 And we just give you praise
00:02:34 that you have caused us to awaken this morning.
00:02:39 And not only just to awaken,
00:02:41 but clothed in our right minds.
00:02:44 We thank you because nobody put our shoes on
00:02:47 and we didn't put the right on the left foot.
00:02:50 We thank you because we could discern
00:02:53 and we could move about without anyone helping us.
00:02:57 And because we're in that position
00:02:59 where you have given us strength to stand,
00:03:02 we realize that now it is upon us
00:03:06 to help those who can't help themselves.
00:03:09 To be there for those who are unhungered,
00:03:12 be there for those who are brokenhearted.
00:03:14 You said the anointing came,
00:03:17 that we might preach to those who are poor,
00:03:19 those who are broken, those who are captive.
00:03:23 And I pray God that every mouth in here
00:03:25 that speaks a prayer, that opens up to you
00:03:28 will also be a blessing to somebody else.
00:03:32 And I claim the victory for that right now.
00:03:35 That we will infect this city with our anointing.
00:03:39 That we will touch people with our blessings.
00:03:42 That we will lift people because you have lifted us.
00:03:47 And that we will declare your name on the mountain top.
00:03:51 That you are God all by yourself.
00:03:53 We thank you because you declared,
00:03:56 if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.
00:04:01 Help us to lift you up.
00:04:04 Oh, give somebody a high five,
00:04:06 lose your hands and tell your neighbor,
00:04:09 help us to lift him up in the name of Jesus.
00:04:14 And if you wanna lift him up,
00:04:18 give God some glory in this house.

00:05:35 and I'm saying to all fathers,
00:05:37 we're having Father's and Son Day on June 15th,
00:05:42 and we're going from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

00:05:49 And now as usual, it's free.
00:05:52 Free event, free parking, free food.
00:05:55 We'll have a DJ, a game truck.
00:05:58 We'll have go-karts.

00:07:27 We celebrate the Lord and for you who are in the prisons,
00:07:31 we're praying for you constantly.
00:07:33 And we shout out to Minister Barnes.
00:07:41 She has been such a great help for years and years
00:07:45 working in the prison, Minister Barnes, amen.
00:07:50 And we thank God for her.
00:07:51 She lost her brother recently,
00:07:54 but she has been such a champion for our ministry
00:07:59 to those who are incarcerated.
00:08:02 And we wanna say to you that it's not over yet,
00:08:06 that the Lord moves in mysterious ways and he is omniscient.
00:08:11 So there is no place that he does not exist.
00:08:16 And where there is a penitent and a contrite heart,
00:08:19 he said that he will in no wise cast down
00:08:24 because nobody comes except the father draw.
00:08:27 And it would be quite paradoxical,
00:08:30 it would be quite antithetical for him to draw you
00:08:35 and then refuse you.
00:08:37 Do you understand that?
00:08:39 That's why I can't understand how me dad and El dad
00:08:44 were prophesying in the tent, in the camp.
00:08:50 You remember when God took the spirit off Moses
00:08:54 and placed on the 70.
00:08:56 And there was, this is offering though, isn't it?
00:09:00 Amen, all right.
00:09:03 All over the world, we have ways to give,
00:09:05 it's on the screen.
00:09:07 And to those of us that are assembled,
00:09:09 get your offering in your hand, your tithing.
00:09:14 We have any tithers here, people who believe in tithing.
00:09:18 Amen, and giving in to God as not out of your need today.
00:09:23 I want you to give out of your abundance.
00:09:26 I don't want you, we're not, let's make a deal God.
00:09:30 Amen, we're giving because he has blessed us
00:09:35 and he has been generous to us.
00:09:37 And that's why we give.
00:09:40 And we give to those who have need
00:09:42 because the Lord told us that we'll have people
00:09:46 who have needs always.
00:09:49 He said the poor we will have with us always.
00:09:53 And he didn't say why they were poor,
00:09:56 but he said we will have poor people with us always
00:09:59 for various reasons.
00:10:01 And some of the reasons are self-imposed,
00:10:04 some reasons are because of circumstances.
00:10:08 But it's interesting that he does not expect us to judge.
00:10:12 He just expects us to respond.
00:10:15 Can you say amen?
00:10:17 We've got too many judgmental people
00:10:19 who just judge and judge and judge and judge
00:10:25 and waste people who can't even apologize.
00:10:28 I don't get, the worst demon can say, I'm sorry.
00:10:32 Amen.
00:10:33 God can touch the heart of the meanest person in the world.
00:10:38 And we need to just consider ourselves,
00:10:42 consider ourselves.
00:10:45 Amen.
00:10:46 And have you ever told somebody you're sorry
00:10:50 and they looked at you like,
00:10:51 yeah, you are sorry.
00:10:56 It's a terrible thing when you can't accept an apology
00:11:02 that is extended.
00:11:04 And who is to judge whether the apology is sincere or not.
00:11:09 Amen.
00:11:12 So how did I get over there?
00:11:14 Father, we thank you for all of these marvelous people.
00:11:21 And we praise you because of the wonder
00:11:25 that you have made us.
00:11:28 And you brought us out of darkness into marvelous light.
00:11:31 Yes, we struggle, but you understand our struggle.
00:11:35 That's why you're at the right hand
00:11:37 making intercession for us.
00:11:39 For those of us who could have been better off financially,
00:11:42 but we didn't follow the principles.
00:11:45 I pray God that you recover us
00:11:48 and put us on the right road.
00:11:50 For those of us who have had hindrances
00:11:53 because of other people maliciously harming us
00:11:57 in divorces and yes Lord,
00:12:00 in breakdown of relationships that have caused us daily.
00:12:04 I pray God that you restore us
00:12:07 and put us into fellowship and relationships
00:12:10 that are productive and not destructive.
00:12:13 I pray God that you will lift every person
00:12:17 to a higher degree according to their faith
00:12:20 and according to their willingness to give back.

00:19:33 - I was saying a minute ago,
00:19:37 as you turn to Judges chapter four,
00:19:42 but as I was saying a minute ago,
00:19:46 that God does not draw and then turn you away.
00:19:56 Remember he said that a contrite heart
00:20:01 he will in no wise cast down.
00:20:04 But the significance of that is he draws
00:20:11 because remember now no man comes
00:20:16 except the father's soul, the father drag.
00:20:21 That's the real meaning of that drag.
00:20:25 And how is it that he would draw you
00:20:30 and then turn you away?
00:20:31 It's not consistent with anything that is sensible.
00:20:38 Why would I attract you and draw you
00:20:44 and then push you away
00:20:47 when I didn't have to draw you in the first place?
00:20:54 If I didn't want to deal with you,
00:20:57 I could have left you alone.
00:20:58 Why would I draw you and then castigate you?
00:21:05 In the same way, and this is Pentecost Sunday,
00:21:11 so I'm not out of whack.
00:21:14 In the same way, I cannot understand
00:21:18 how God would declare that your sons and daughters
00:21:24 would prophesy and then after he
00:21:29 anoints them with the spirit to prophesy,
00:21:34 then he'd tell the women to shut up.
00:21:38 If you didn't want, if God didn't want
00:21:43 the women to prophesy, then he wouldn't
00:21:47 have anointed them to prophesy.
00:21:52 How is it that you think God,
00:21:54 that's why he says you think I'm such a one as thyself.
00:21:57 Because there's no way that he's going
00:22:00 to put the spirit upon you
00:22:02 and then not allow the spirit to operate in you.
00:22:07 (audience applauding)
00:22:11 There's a little anecdote, there's a little story,
00:22:16 a historical presentation actually
00:22:18 that is found in Numbers 11.
00:22:20 I just checked it a while ago to make sure I was right.
00:22:24 And when Moses took the spirit of,
00:22:28 when the Lord took the spirit off Moses,
00:22:31 remember Moses is dealing with 600,000 men,
00:22:36 two and a half to three and a half million people
00:22:41 and he was adjudicating their cases.
00:22:45 He was dealing with all of their problems
00:22:49 by himself.
00:22:51 Now there's absolutely no way
00:22:55 for you to have a docket of cases
00:22:59 that cover two and a half to three and a half million people
00:23:02 and feel like you can do it yourself.
00:23:06 So Jethro, his father-in-law said to Moses,
00:23:09 you're tired, they're tired and nothing's getting done.
00:23:13 You need some help.
00:23:15 So 70 were chosen by God
00:23:20 and God took the spirit off Moses
00:23:24 and placed it on the 70.
00:23:27 The question becomes why does he
00:23:29 share the anointing with Moses' personality?
00:23:36 Do you see the significance?
00:23:39 Because if he takes the spirit that he placed on Moses
00:23:43 and places it on the 70,
00:23:45 then some of Moses' attitudes go with that spirit.
00:23:50 The significance is you don't need anybody around you
00:23:54 in a leadership environment
00:23:57 that does not have the spirit of the leader.
00:24:00 (audience applauding)
00:24:02 Let me put it another way.
00:24:04 If you have a leader that is kind,
00:24:06 you don't need anybody who is leading
00:24:11 in any capacity who is mean.
00:24:15 (audience applauding)
00:24:17 Amen.
00:24:19 Sometimes you draw people in because of your charisma
00:24:23 and your persona and because of God's anointing
00:24:26 and you have people around you who drive them away.
00:24:29 Mm-hmm.
00:24:32 Amen.
00:24:34 You are compassionate and you are sensitive
00:24:37 but you have people around you
00:24:39 who don't care about anybody but themselves.
00:24:41 So what you've got is contradiction in leadership.
00:24:46 So that can't work.
00:24:48 You have leaders who won't even bless each other.
00:24:52 (audience applauding)
00:24:55 And who won't even love each other.
00:24:56 Well, if you can't serve each other,
00:25:00 then how can you serve the people of God?
00:25:02 So that's the reason why.
00:25:05 Now, it's interesting that the 70,
00:25:09 as soon as they received the spirit,
00:25:12 they all began to prophesy.
00:25:14 Interesting.
00:25:18 And then after the 70 as a whole stopped prophesying,
00:25:23 two continued to prophesy,
00:25:27 me dad and el dad.
00:25:30 And a little fella came to Moses and said,
00:25:34 me dad and el dad are still prophesying
00:25:36 under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
00:25:39 And Joshua said to Moses,
00:25:44 forbid them.
00:25:47 Stop them.
00:25:49 Now, you gotta understand what's happening here
00:25:53 and that is that Joshua is heir apparent.
00:25:57 Joshua is the fella who is closest to Moses
00:26:01 but he is not prophesied.
00:26:04 So he does not have that anointing
00:26:07 that me dad and el dad have.
00:26:11 So immediately when you see somebody around you
00:26:14 who God is using and he's not using you that way,
00:26:19 there is a tendency or proclivity,
00:26:22 maybe a predilection, that's the strongest of the words,
00:26:26 to want to interfere.
00:26:31 You know, sometimes people who are in position
00:26:35 don't enjoy other people in position
00:26:37 who God is using a way that they're not using them.
00:26:41 So Joshua tells Moses, shut 'em up.
00:26:49 And Moses says to Joshua,
00:26:54 envious thou for my sake?
00:27:00 In other words, Moses read his attitude
00:27:03 and Moses said, you want me to shut up
00:27:06 what God is doing over here?
00:27:08 Do you want me to shut them up because of me?
00:27:12 Because they don't threaten me.
00:27:15 Ah, I wonder, do you understand?
00:27:18 When God blesses anybody around you
00:27:22 who you have a relationship with,
00:27:25 that does not threaten you.
00:27:27 That blesses you.
00:27:30 And many times we want to shut people up
00:27:33 who God sent to bless us and to help us
00:27:37 because we don't have that anointing.
00:27:39 I wish I could shout on that one.
00:27:43 We ought to just close the church down on that one.
00:27:46 Everybody does not have the same anointing.
00:27:50 And because somebody has an anointing that you don't have,
00:27:55 you don't want to shut 'em up.
00:27:57 You want them to speak up because they will bless you.
00:28:02 Ah, I feel like shouting on that now.
00:28:06 He read Joshua's attitude
00:28:12 and he says, envious thou for my sake?
00:28:15 Then he said something that is prescriptive
00:28:19 that shows us the mind of God.
00:28:24 He says, I would to God
00:28:27 that all God's people would prophesy.
00:28:32 Do you understand what he just said?
00:28:39 Here is a man dealing with 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 million people
00:28:44 trying to adjudicate situations between them,
00:28:47 trying to get matters together,
00:28:50 trying to keep them in unity,
00:28:51 trying to keep the families together,
00:28:53 trying to keep one from killing the other.
00:28:56 When he said, I would that all God's people would prophesy.
00:29:02 Can you imagine the unity in this house
00:29:07 if all of us were filled and controlled
00:29:13 by the Spirit of God?
00:29:15 It would be easy to lead a group of people
00:29:22 where everybody is on one accord.
00:29:25 (audience applauding)
00:29:27 That's what Moses is saying.
00:29:29 Now, if you take numbers and see the mind of God
00:29:34 through the expression of Moses
00:29:37 that all God's people would prophesy
00:29:40 and then God turns around and anoints Joel the prophet
00:29:45 to say in the last days,
00:29:48 the Lord is gonna do what Moses said
00:29:50 and that he's gonna pour out his Spirit upon all flesh.
00:29:55 Your sons, listen, you don't want a bunch of men
00:30:00 filled with the Holy Ghost
00:30:02 and the women ain't got no God in 'em.
00:30:04 You don't want a bunch of women filled with the Holy Ghost
00:30:08 and the men don't have any God in 'em.
00:30:11 You want everybody to be filled
00:30:14 with the power of the Spirit of God.
00:30:19 Now, why would Joel make the prophetic word?
00:30:23 Not only did Joel make the prophetic word,
00:30:27 but on the day of Pentecost,
00:30:30 this is Pentecost, ain't it?
00:30:32 Peter rose up and said, "This is not that,"
00:30:36 when they said, "These men are drunken."
00:30:39 Now, Bishop McMurray would've moved like that.
00:30:47 These are not drunken as you suppose,
00:30:51 but this is that that was spoken of by the prophet Joel.
00:30:56 Notice the jump from Moses leading them into the wilderness
00:31:03 to Joel the prophet declaring it in Israel
00:31:07 to Peter declaring it on the day of Pentecost.
00:31:12 Post-Pentecost, Pentecost, no, pre-Pentecost, Pentecost.
00:31:18 And post-Pentecost, the Holy Ghost was on everybody.
00:31:23 Your sons and daughters shall prophesy.
00:31:29 God is not going to fill you with the Spirit
00:31:34 and then tell you to shut up.
00:31:44 So there must've been a reason why Paul said,
00:31:49 "Tell them women to keep quiet in the church
00:31:53 "and let them ask their husbands at home."
00:31:58 And in both cases, it was a matter of learning.
00:32:02 Now, as we go to Judges chapter four,
00:32:08 let me say something to you 21st century folk.
00:32:13 (audience laughing)
00:32:16 I wrote a little poem for Mother's Day
00:32:19 and in order to do it, I had to research.
00:32:24 And I found, well, it wasn't quite a poem
00:32:28 'cause it didn't, well, all poems don't have to have rhymes.
00:32:32 Amen, I'm not a rapper, so I don't, anyhow.
00:32:41 Nearly two billion mothers in the world today,
00:32:46 nearly two billion mothers.
00:32:49 And when I found that out, because I wanted to talk
00:32:52 about the uniqueness of an individual
00:32:55 when there are so many mothers.
00:32:57 But then I found something else out,
00:32:59 that women, a thousand, every thousand women,
00:33:04 over 40 have 15.6 babies.
00:33:10 Over 40.
00:33:12 And every woman, every thousand women in their 20s
00:33:19 have 14 children.
00:33:22 What does that say?
00:33:26 That says that women over 40 are having more babies
00:33:31 than women in their 20s.
00:33:37 Now you say, Bishop, now what sense does that make?
00:33:40 Well, critical analysis.
00:33:44 What's happening is that women are taking care
00:33:49 of their careers before they start having children.
00:33:54 Now that moves us to what's happening now.
00:33:59 Not only was the trend 40 years ago,
00:34:03 but the trend is now because the women
00:34:06 are having less babies in their 20s now,
00:34:10 which means they're equipping themselves
00:34:15 with knowledge, with wisdom,
00:34:18 with the ability to be independent, with making money.
00:34:23 So which one of these smart women need to learn anything
00:34:29 from their husbands at home?
00:34:34 Whatever problem they had in the Corinthian church
00:34:39 where women were not learned,
00:34:42 were not allowed to go to school,
00:34:44 were not allowed to make themselves smart,
00:34:47 we ain't got that problem now.
00:34:49 Amen.
00:34:51 I don't have to say anything about keeping a woman silent
00:34:55 in the church because if we tell these women
00:34:58 to shut up in the church, we ain't gonna have no church.
00:35:03 Somebody give God praise for the fact
00:35:06 that God has anointed the women of God all over the world.
00:35:11 Amen.
00:35:14 And let's stop this spiritual misogynistic behavior
00:35:19 where we wanna put our foot on who God has anointed
00:35:23 to open and declare his word.
00:35:26 If God can take a jackass to talk to a prophet,
00:35:30 he can take a woman to straighten out a man.

00:35:37 Amen, amen, amen.
00:35:42 And that's why he says in Jesus Christ,
00:35:47 there is neither male nor female.
00:35:51 In the book of Judges in chapter four,
00:35:57 and really I could jump to verse 18,
00:36:01 but it's critical that we would understand,
00:36:06 and I'll take some time to understand the context.
00:36:11 And Jail went out to meet Sisera and said unto him,
00:36:16 turn in, my Lord, turn in to me, fear not.
00:36:23 And when he had turned in unto her into the tent,
00:36:26 she covered him with a mantle.
00:36:29 And he said unto her, give me, I pray thee,
00:36:32 a little water to drink, for I am thirsty.
00:36:36 And she opened a bottle of milk,
00:36:38 gave him the drink, and covered him.
00:36:41 And again he said unto her, stand in the door
00:36:45 of the tent, and it shall be when any man doth come
00:36:49 and inquire of thee, and say, is there any man here
00:36:53 that thou shalt say no?
00:36:56 Then Jail, Heber's wife, took a nail of the tent
00:37:00 and took a hammer in her hand and went softly unto him
00:37:03 and smote the nail into his temples,
00:37:05 fastened it into the ground, for he was fast asleep
00:37:09 and weary, so he died.
00:37:11 And when that happened, of course, the victory came.
00:37:17 But the victory didn't come in Israel
00:37:21 before they had a judge.
00:37:26 And they had to have a leader that God had appointed.
00:37:30 So let's go back to chapter four and verse one.
00:37:35 And the children of Israel again did evil
00:37:41 in the sight of the Lord when Ehud was dead.
00:37:47 And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin,
00:37:51 king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor,
00:37:54 the captain of whose host was, remember we just read
00:37:58 his name, Sisera, which dealt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
00:38:03 And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord,
00:38:09 for he had 900 chariots of iron,
00:38:14 and 20 years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
00:38:19 And Deborah of Prophetheth, the wife of Lapidoth,
00:38:25 she judgeth Israel at that time.
00:38:31 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah
00:38:36 between Ramah and Bethel in Mount Ephraim.
00:38:40 And the children of Israel came up to her
00:38:44 for judgment.
00:38:46 Now I could read and read, I read the end
00:38:48 to show you the power of deliverance
00:38:52 that came from another woman.
00:38:55 Remember now, I went first to the woman
00:39:00 who took out the chief of the Canaanite army.
00:39:06 Then I came back to the woman who was in charge of Israel
00:39:13 while that was happening.
00:39:14 Now, the only other place to go is to the man.
00:39:18 And let's go to verse 10.
00:39:21 You know, sometimes we ought to just have Bible reading
00:39:25 and sit and enjoy each other while we listen.
00:39:27 And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kadesh.
00:39:32 And he went up with 10,000 men at his feet
00:39:37 and Deborah went up with him.
00:39:40 Now, no, no, no, let's go to eight.
00:39:44 Let's go to eight because I want you to hear this.
00:39:48 And Barak said unto her, if thou,
00:39:52 now this is the man, the army leader now,
00:39:55 the man, the man, the man.
00:39:59 And Barak said unto her, if thou will go with me,
00:40:09 then I will go.
00:40:12 But if thou will not go with me,
00:40:17 then I will not go.
00:40:23 And she said, I'll surely go with thee,
00:40:27 notwithstanding the journey that thou hast taken
00:40:30 shall not be in thine honor.
00:40:35 For the Lord shall sell Cicero
00:40:39 into the hand of a woman.
00:40:44 Now, I am troubled because
00:40:50 I cannot understand why we would have
00:40:58 such a preponderance of evidence
00:41:02 that gives us an insight into the thinking of God
00:41:07 and continually refuse to receive it.
00:41:14 When I think of this, might I say,
00:41:20 stubbornness, and I'm really searching for a better word,
00:41:28 a more powerful word than stubbornness.
00:41:32 Is there a, hard-headed, ignorant.
00:41:37 It reminds me of Jesus operating in a demonic environment
00:41:58 and the particular time when Jesus cast out the devil
00:42:02 that was operating in an individual
00:42:08 who was totally possessed.
00:42:11 And the onlookers could not acknowledge the fact
00:42:17 that this was an exhibition of the power of God,
00:42:23 but rather felt comfortable with saying
00:42:28 that this is a demon who is casting out a demon.
00:42:34 And Jesus said to them very bulliently
00:42:40 that a kingdom that's divided against itself cannot stand.
00:42:45 And Satan is too genius to have demons casting out demons.
00:42:52 They simply did not want to accept
00:42:57 that Jesus was and is the son of the living God.
00:43:05 Seems to me, when I look at this,
00:43:12 that I have to swing my thoughts
00:43:16 into the book of Thessalonians
00:43:20 where he speaks of the antichrist being revealed.
00:43:25 And he says that there is going to be a great problem
00:43:32 because men and women are going to be deceived
00:43:38 because they had no love for the truth.
00:43:48 And because they had no love for the truth,
00:43:52 they were given over to a strong delusion.
00:43:56 I think America is going through that now.
00:44:01 Where lies, I ain't never heard anything
00:44:07 about an alternate truth.
00:44:09 Amen.
00:44:14 [audience laughing]
00:44:17 Where were you last night, husband?
00:44:21 Amen.
00:44:24 Whatever alternate truth I'm about to tell you.
00:44:28 It is interesting that you close your mind
00:44:34 to what is so obvious that you cannot be driven by logic
00:44:42 you have to be driven by just not wanting the truth.
00:44:47 When you talk about anointing,
00:44:55 it comes from the word masak.
00:44:57 And that Hebrew word simply means that
00:45:03 there is an anointing that comes
00:45:07 and can only come from God.
00:45:10 [audience applauding]
00:45:11 This anointing is inviolable.
00:45:14 In other words, once it is given,
00:45:19 there is no man or woman who can take it away.
00:45:23 And many times what we do is we symbolize
00:45:30 the anointing of God on an individual
00:45:33 by placing oil on them
00:45:38 to show that there is a flow of God
00:45:42 who pours out his spirit.
00:45:45 The pouring out of his spirit is indicative
00:45:49 of a piece of God coming into,
00:45:54 not a piece of God, because a piece of God is all of God.
00:45:57 How much of God is all of God?
00:45:59 A little of God is all of God.
00:46:01 And so when God comes in,
00:46:03 it is described as pouring out of his spirit.
00:46:08 He is marvelous because he allows us
00:46:14 in order to have some uniform in the house of God,
00:46:19 he says that the prophet or the spirit
00:46:24 is subject to the prophet,
00:46:27 which means in circumstances where utterances
00:46:31 need to be controlled,
00:46:33 the prophet has the power to utter or not to utter
00:46:39 depending on the circumstances that he's in.
00:46:43 So not only is God powerful enough
00:46:47 to pour out his spirit upon all flesh,
00:46:51 he allows the wisdom and discernment
00:46:55 of who has his spirit
00:46:59 to be able to operate within the parameters of their life
00:47:02 and the circumstances that they're in
00:47:06 so that there is no confusion.
00:47:08 You have to understand when he has blessed multiple people
00:47:14 with his spirit, that wisdom has to operate in that space
00:47:20 so that everybody is not just uttering and screaming,
00:47:26 but that there is order in the prophetic.
00:47:31 [audience applauding]
00:47:33 It is true then that God has placed his spirit in Deborah.
00:47:38 And when you consider the circumstances, oh my God,
00:47:46 that she has found herself in with the spirit of God,
00:47:52 you will understand that it could only be God
00:47:56 operating in her at a time
00:48:00 when men and the patriarchal system was at its peak.
00:48:05 I want you to understand that.
00:48:10 That we do not understand.
00:48:12 I went to a funeral yesterday
00:48:15 and I went to the funeral of a Nigerian king.
00:48:22 And my wife informed me,
00:48:24 because she was good friends with them,
00:48:28 that the Nigerian king had five wives.
00:48:32 Now the Western woman cannot understand
00:48:38 a situation of five wives.
00:48:46 And it is very interesting to discover
00:48:50 that there was no confusion at the home going ceremony.
00:48:55 So I just assumed that everybody was getting paid.
00:49:02 Consider with me, five wives is indicative of a time
00:49:10 when men had to be dominant.
00:49:17 When Jacob was operating with Leah and Rachel
00:49:21 and going with all the maids,
00:49:24 then men had to be dominant.
00:49:29 It would seem to me for God
00:49:32 to slip a woman into a situation like that.
00:49:35 It would have to be his will.
00:49:40 Because there was no way that any woman
00:49:44 was going to take upon herself
00:49:47 and presume to be in charge
00:49:51 in a situation where men were so dominant.
00:49:56 I wonder do you understand the logic?
00:49:59 In the Western culture, a man's got to back up.
00:50:04 In the Eastern culture and the Asian culture,
00:50:09 a woman walks behind a man.
00:50:12 When you look for the woman, where is his woman?
00:50:15 Come on, hurry up, keep up.
00:50:20 Today it is different because in the Western culture
00:50:25 we don't have that kind of domination
00:50:28 and in our ethnic group we are more matriarchal
00:50:32 than we are patriarchal because man didn't do his job
00:50:37 and woman had to step up to make sure
00:50:42 that things were covered.
00:50:44 I wish I had somebody who would accept the truth.
00:50:48 Every man in here with a wife that's a good wife
00:50:53 should give God glory because there's something
00:50:57 she's doing that you don't have to do.
00:51:01 And there are many things that she's doing
00:51:03 that you don't want to do and she's doing it well enough
00:51:07 to keep you happy and you ought to give God praise.
00:51:12 A woman should never be a footstool.
00:51:15 She should be somebody who is free to express her ability
00:51:20 and be able to function in her capacity.
00:51:26 Oh, I feel like preaching here.
00:51:28 Give somebody a high five and say quit limiting me.
00:51:32 Amen, release me so I can be all that I can be.
00:51:37 And when I'm all that I can be,
00:51:39 it'll be a blessing to you.
00:51:42 You are restricting your blessing.
00:51:44 You are putting your foot on your blessing.
00:51:47 You are sitting on your blessing.
00:51:50 You are cursing your blessing.
00:51:52 You are talking negatively about your blessing.
00:51:55 Shut your mouth if you can't say something good
00:52:00 and open your mouth and bless who is blessing you.
00:52:05 Oh, I feel like shouting in here.
00:52:08 It's a critical thing, Pat, I think I'm gonna holler today.
00:52:12 It's a critical thing because he has raised this woman up
00:52:17 in a time when it was a total man-oriented system.
00:52:23 If I take you to the judge before her,
00:52:28 his name is Shamagar and there's only one verse for him.
00:52:34 But before that, there was a fellow called Ehud
00:52:37 and he was a slickster.
00:52:39 He was a Benjaminite.
00:52:41 And what he did was he went over to the king,
00:52:45 the Moabite king, who had oppressed them for so many years,
00:52:50 for 20 or so years, they were oppressed by them.
00:52:55 He put a dagger under his skirt.
00:52:58 And remember now in those days when I hear people
00:53:01 talking about wearing things pertaining to a man
00:53:05 and a woman ought not to wear pertaining to a man
00:53:08 and she got on a pair of pants
00:53:09 and everybody's having a hard time.
00:53:12 Well, a woman's pants aren't cut like a man's pants.
00:53:16 Amen, 'cause my hips don't go where your hips go.
00:53:20 So they ain't cut the same way.
00:53:22 So it ain't pertaining to a man.
00:53:25 But the next thing to understand was
00:53:27 men were wearing skirts in those days.
00:53:31 And so the Bible says that the priest should not go up
00:53:38 so high that his nakedness be exposed.
00:53:42 What does that mean?
00:53:44 That means he had on a skirt
00:53:46 and didn't have on a pair of drawers.
00:53:55 It's a critical thing then to understand
00:53:58 that what Ehud did was he put a dagger under his skirt
00:54:03 and tied it to his leg.
00:54:06 And then he went in very deceitfully
00:54:09 and he told the king he had a present.
00:54:13 When they moved everybody out,
00:54:15 because the king said, "Get out of here."
00:54:18 And he stayed with Ehud alone.
00:54:21 And Ehud took the dagger out and the king was,
00:54:24 the Bible says he was a fat man,
00:54:27 and stuck the dagger in all the way
00:54:30 until the hilt was in his stomach.
00:54:33 Because they did not come in,
00:54:35 finally they found he was dead.
00:54:38 And when they did find he was dead,
00:54:41 Ehud had already been back in Israel.
00:54:46 So here is the situation of deceit.
00:54:50 Some people call him a hero.
00:54:53 Some people call him deceitful.
00:54:56 But Israel had peace for 80 years.
00:54:59 And then comes the situation
00:55:03 where they walked away from God.
00:55:06 I want you to understand that in a theocracy,
00:55:10 if you don't follow God, you're going to have judgment.
00:55:15 And the judgment was so severe
00:55:20 that the children of the Lord cried out to God,
00:55:24 and God sent them a deliverer who now is a woman.
00:55:29 Let me tell you something,
00:55:32 when you're in serious trouble and you cry out to God,
00:55:37 you don't care who it is that God sends to deliver.
00:55:43 I feel like shouting in here.
00:55:49 I want to talk to all you in the prisons.
00:55:52 Don't you be selective of who comes
00:55:56 when God sends somebody to set you free.
00:56:00 It might be a woman when a man won't show up.
00:56:04 It might be a young person
00:56:06 when an older person won't show up.
00:56:09 But the whole point is Lord, send somebody.
00:56:14 When the disciples were on the boat, you remember,
00:56:16 and the storm begin to rage, and the winds begin to blow.
00:56:21 Do you think they cared who woke Jesus up?
00:56:26 Ah, Judas could have woke him up.
00:56:29 Wake him up, carest thou not that we perish?
00:56:33 I don't know, have you been so low
00:56:36 that you didn't care who prayed for you?
00:56:39 Can I preach like I feel like?
00:56:41 You know, sometimes you go to funeral,
00:56:43 you're at the funeral, and you're sitting down,
00:56:46 and you're sad, and you're crying,
00:56:48 and you're feeling so bad.
00:56:50 Then let me tell you something.
00:56:51 In a funeral, while you're sitting there in the front seat,
00:56:55 and your dead loved one is in front of you,
00:56:58 everybody can't comfort you.
00:57:00 Can I preach like I see it?
00:57:02 Some people who you know don't care nothing about you
00:57:06 can't come over and talk about,
00:57:08 oh baby, you know, I'm really,
00:57:09 man, get away from me.
00:57:12 You know, everybody can't comfort
00:57:14 because you ain't hurting that bad.
00:57:16 Anytime you can discern who it is
00:57:20 that's talking to you, you ain't hurting that bad.
00:57:23 But there is a pain that you don't care
00:57:26 who touches you to comfort you.
00:57:31 And when you are so badly off,
00:57:34 you don't care whether it's female or male
00:57:38 as long as God is sending somebody
00:57:42 to bring you out of your trial.
00:57:45 Oh, I need your help, Lord.
00:57:48 You need your help if it's even my enemy that you use.
00:57:53 Can I preach like I feel it?
00:57:55 Who did God send to Nineveh
00:57:57 to deliver them out of their problem?
00:58:00 He sent their enemy down there,
00:58:03 and he told their enemy, get up, Jonah,
00:58:07 and go down there and deliver the people you don't like.
00:58:11 When God gets ready,
00:58:13 he'll send somebody to bring you out.
00:58:17 When God gets ready, he'll send somebody,
00:58:20 and you won't care who he sends
00:58:24 because the power is not of the person.
00:58:28 The power is of God.
00:58:30 And if God uses who he chooses,
00:58:34 and that's why I want you to tell,
00:58:36 I want to tell you, when God lays his hand on you,
00:58:39 don't try to get his hand off you
00:58:42 because somebody won't like it.
00:58:44 Lord, if you want to use me, use me till you get through.
00:58:49 Don't tell the Lord not to bless you
00:58:51 because somebody won't like it.
00:58:54 You bless me till you get through.
00:58:57 Don't tell the Lord not to open up your way
00:59:00 and make a way for you because somebody won't like it.
00:59:04 Anybody who won't like what God is doing for you
00:59:07 don't need to be around you anyway.

00:59:14 I might as well slow down, I'm still a old man.
00:59:18 Israel's trouble was serious,
00:59:22 and God sent a woman named Deborah,
00:59:24 whose name means bee.
00:59:27 And it's embolic then, embellic of,
00:59:31 emblemic, sorry, it's emblematic, that's the word,
00:59:36 of industry, of patience, of sagacity and usefulness.
00:59:41 God does not send lazy people.

00:59:48 You can't bless anybody until you will bless yourself.
00:59:52 That's why I say to the Lord, don't let me be broke.
00:59:57 I don't want to be broke
00:59:58 because a broke person can't help somebody else.
01:00:02 When God sends me to you, he sends me to you equipped.
01:00:07 He sends me to you with the ability to handle business.
01:00:12 That's what the anointing does.
01:00:14 Touch your neighbors, so that's what the anointing does.
01:00:17 The anointing handles business.
01:00:20 The anointing takes care of things.
01:00:23 The anointing doesn't come begging.
01:00:25 The anointing comes delivering.
01:00:30 The anointing doesn't come looking for a place to stay.
01:00:34 The anointing comes already equipped.
01:00:38 And can I tell you something?
01:00:40 And when God moves an anointed person in your house,
01:00:45 your house is blessed.
01:00:47 Not because you've given them everything,
01:00:51 because they're giving you everything.
01:00:54 Can I preach like I feel it?
01:00:56 Isn't Elijah went down to the woman's house
01:01:00 and took her last?
01:01:02 What was her last?
01:01:04 Her last was a seed.
01:01:06 And the seed did what?
01:01:08 Multiply and multiply and multiply and multiply
01:01:13 and multiply.
01:01:15 When anointed people come to your house,
01:01:19 you don't want them to leave.
01:01:20 I feel like shouting,
01:01:24 anybody you sick of and want to leave,
01:01:28 something is lacking in their anointing.
01:01:32 When you're praying that God get them out of your house,
01:01:35 something is lacking.
01:01:37 Because when a light comes in your house,
01:01:41 and when power comes in your house,
01:01:44 and when the grace of God comes in your house,
01:01:48 you'll say, "Stay with me."
01:01:51 I heard the bride has said, "Come go with me,
01:01:55 'cause we will bless you."
01:01:57 She was industrial.
01:02:00 She was patient, she was sagacious, and she was useful.
01:02:04 And that's why the beautiful appropriate name
01:02:07 for a mad maid servant or a nursemaid,
01:02:12 it was a prophetic name,
01:02:16 because it fulfilled the expectation
01:02:18 or the hope expressed by her name.
01:02:22 God doesn't give us any background information.
01:02:26 She probably was born without any notoriety,
01:02:30 because had she been born with notoriety,
01:02:33 the history would have said it.
01:02:36 But you don't need notoriety when you are anointed,
01:02:41 because God stepping in you with the power
01:02:44 of the Holy Ghost is all the notoriety you will ever need.
01:02:49 Can I preach like I feel it?
01:02:52 Touch your neighbor and say, "When God steps into you,
01:02:56 you don't need natural history,
01:02:59 because now you have supernatural history.
01:03:04 My history is not my parents.
01:03:08 My history is the God of my salvation."
01:03:13 And when you trace me, trace me back to God,
01:03:18 because he is the power in my spirit.
01:03:25 I feel something coming, Patrick.
01:03:28 I feel like having church.
01:03:30 The family named her after Deborah.
01:03:34 They named her Rebecca's nurse.
01:03:37 And there's no genealogy, nothing about background,
01:03:41 but she was just chosen.
01:03:43 The only personal touch we have
01:03:47 is that her husband's name was Lapidus.
01:03:51 And for most in history, we feel as if there is always
01:03:56 a weak man with a strong woman.
01:04:01 Get that out of your mind,
01:04:04 because behind everybody that's powerful,
01:04:08 God puts somebody behind them that's powerful.
01:04:13 I feel like preaching here.
01:04:16 You are never powerful by yourself.
01:04:21 And whenever God sets you up to do a work for him,
01:04:26 he puts people around you who are powerful themselves.
01:04:32 When you look at the word Lapidus,
01:04:36 it means lightning, which means he was the fire
01:04:41 that kept her going.
01:04:43 Whenever she came home burdened down,
01:04:46 she had a cook man in the corner.
01:04:50 Can I preach like I feel it?
01:04:52 That's why I want to say to every wife and husband here,
01:04:55 if you got a husband that is out there doing his thing,
01:04:59 he can't fight in the ring and in the corner.
01:05:03 If he's out there fighting for the right of the home,
01:05:07 when he comes home, you ought to nurse his cuts.
01:05:12 You ought to give him a little water.
01:05:15 You ought to strengthen him so that next morning,
01:05:19 he can go out and face some of these white folk.
01:05:23 I feel like preaching in here.
01:05:25 He can go out and handle the job.
01:05:28 He can't come home fussing with you all day
01:05:31 and set himself weak, half sleep,
01:05:34 watching what you might do to him in the night.
01:05:37 He need to be able to get a good night's sleep.
01:05:40 Won't cook, God have mercy.
01:05:43 Turn on the stove and cook the man something.
01:05:50 And then don't tell him, well, the food is on the stove.
01:05:54 Share, go get the food.
01:05:57 Put it in front of him while he's watching the ball game.
01:06:01 Well, you just sit there watching the ball game.
01:06:06 Give him something to eat so that the next morning,
01:06:09 he can go out there and work for you.
01:06:12 And as he's getting ready to get in the car,
01:06:14 work for me, baby.
01:06:16 Go on, bring that money back up in here.
01:06:18 Get up out of here.
01:06:20 And so he was the fire under her wings.
01:06:25 And whenever Deborah came home and didn't feel like it,
01:06:28 he was the man that stood in the gap.
01:06:32 I'm sure while she was praying for others,
