00:00 The water in Angat Dam is now going down to the minimum operating level.
00:04 How about the supply and allocation of our water?
00:08 We will talk about that with the Policy and Program Division Chief of NWRB, Engineer Susan Abaño.
00:14 Good morning and welcome to Malitang Halim.
00:17 Good morning as well.
00:19 What is your plan for the water allocation for Metro Manila,
00:24 in case the water in Angat Dam is put in Alanganin?
00:29 For the month of May, May 1 to 15, we gave 52 CMS.
00:36 This continued from May 16 to 31.
00:40 We gave a full allocation to MWSP, 52 CMS.
00:46 But is there any expectation of water service interruption to the water concessionaires
00:51 who are getting water from Angat Dam?
00:54 Since we know that this is a full allocation,
00:58 we should not have any, but we had a water conservation,
01:06 just like MWSS, they said they will reduce the pressure from 10 to 4.
01:13 Alright, but what will happen to the farms that still need irrigation?
01:20 Will it be affected because the water and other basic needs will be affected?
01:28 Will it be at a critical level or operating without sufficient allocation?
01:34 What we gave to NIA from May 1 to 15 is 25 CMS.
01:41 Because they are still in the process of planting and the harvest is near.
01:49 And from May 16 to 31, almost all of them have already harvested.
01:53 We still gave 12 CMS to NIA.
01:57 So it's still okay?
02:00 Yes, it's okay because the harvest is almost done and our farmers are already harvesting.
02:06 Okay, thank you very much ma'am for your time in the news this afternoon.
02:10 Thank you and good morning.
02:13 That was Engineer Susan Abaño of NWRB.
