Crawley Town fans 'proud' to see their side at Wembley for Play-off clash
Transcript
00:00 I've been supporting Crawley since 2015. I go to most of the home games, try to get to as many away games as possible.
00:08 It means a lot, you know, being around 128 years and having now the chance to come to Wembley when everyone ripped us off.
00:16 Me, myself, when Scott Lindsay was appointed I thought, oh we probably should have stuck with Lewis Young because he was doing really well.
00:24 But giving him time, he's proved to be one of the best managers we've ever had and I think we deserve to be in League One with the way we've played, the football we play, the style.
00:34 Just the semi-final win against MK Dons just showed that we can mix it with the best that there is.
00:40 Gubb are in disarray, well not disarray, but they were playing terrible football. But watching them against MK Dons the other day was like watching a Barcelona.
00:47 Barcelona, beautiful game.
00:49 When Esther was in charge, when Esther was captain.
00:51 Incredible. He's just brought in good team-ship, passing game, no long balls, just everyone's up for it.
00:59 Everyone on the field feels like they want to win every game, it's amazing.
01:02 It's just great to see them knocking it around as well, not the way they knock it around and play football, it's amazing.
01:06 And it's great for the town, right, so I think there was some rubbish stat that 150 away fans on average, but to be honest with you, we got what, 17,000 today?
01:15 Unbelievable support, love it.
01:17 But I think the important thing is to bring it through for the kids, so the kids start supporting Crawley as their main club and not have it as their second club.
01:25 Because you need to build the fan base, especially as we're going into League One.
01:28 I think it's special, especially because it was the first time the club's ever played here, and considering that a lot of what some of the atmosphere around the club was 12 months ago,
01:38 just to get to this stage, I think it's just amazing really, and I think it's just a testament to a lot of the work that's been done behind the scenes.
01:45 Extremely happy, I can't believe we're actually here in Wembley.
01:51 I'm looking forward to seeing how he's going to take it forward with the team.
01:55 It's really lovely to come up on the train today, full of Crawley supporters, all on the same side, community-fied, cheering each other on,
02:04 supporting all sorts from children, families, groups of young men, groups of young women.
02:11 It's really lovely to see a mixed age group of people coming together.
